Website keeps dropping in ranking with no visible penalty.

Hi everyone!
I would really appreciate your help on this!
The website URL is: www.gipsydharma.com
It has now been over a year, but we're finding it very difficult to start ranking for any useful keywords. Some keywords like: leather boots / boots for women / handmade clothing at some point went up to page 20, but have now dropped again below page 50. Now, most of our traffic comes from social media so the business is going OK. But the question still remains, what does Google have against the above URL? Its not a super amazing website, but it provides unique and engaging content and has zero spam. I also don't think its over optimized, but I may be wrong on this. Recently, I've also noticed that the Domain Authority has also been going down, it was 46 at some point and now its 40.
There's no visible penalty and all the pre-Penguin links (of which there weren't that many, I think) were cleaned up months ago, without Google suggesting that. There are very few keyword rich backlinks and a lot of them come naturally anyways.
So again, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Andy, thanks for taking the time to respond. Noted about the video, cheers. I think I followed all best practices throughout the site to the best of my ability. I'm trying to rank the product pages for keywords like: brown leather boots, ankle boots for women, black leather boots and so on. Homepage and all the category pages I'm trying to rank for things like: leather boots, boots for women, handmade boots. For the past couple of months I've not built a single link with keyword rich anchors through.
Usually we get about 40-70K visitors to our website per month just through word of mouth and social media. As for Google, the website has never really ranked high for any keywords other than our brand name.
Please let me know if you have any further suggestions.
Cheers,
Peter

Hi,
Just as a side note, a particular pet hate of mine (and many others) is video playing with audio immediately when you visit a page. If I were in an office and this started, I would be panicking to find it and probably never return.
I can only offer the same suggestions that I do for others in the same boat as yourself here. Without working on a site and spending hours analysing it, it could be any number of factors.
With the phrases you give above as examples, are you trying to get the homepage to rank for them? Have you followed best practices throughout the site? Have you ever ranked highly for the site, or has it always been at this level?

Buying a disused website and using their content - penalty risk?
Hi all, I'm in the process of setting up a new website. I have found various old websites covering a similar topic and I'm interested in purchasing two of these websites for their content as it is very good, despite those sites struggling to make ends meet. One of these websites is still live, the other one hasn't been live for 2 years. Let's say I bought these websites for their content, then used that content on my new domain and made sure the two websites where this content came from were offline, would I run a risk of getting penalised? Does Google hold onto content from a website even if it is now offline?

Help! Rankings dropping after optimising
I have been using MOZ a lot, in the past I have always been able to optimise a website enough to rank well in my local areas, but lately every time I optimise a website based on MOZ recommendations the rankings are just dropping and dropping... I haven't focused any efforts on backlinks, but a few sites have gone from the first page of SERP to 2nd and continue to drop... I have 2 example sites: https://www.documentmanagementsoftware.com.au/ - optimised for "Document Management Software" - was initially ranked no.7 in google AU, now it is no.16 after my efforts. http://www.tmphysio.com.au/ - optimised for "canberra physiotherapy" - was no.6 now it is dropping to no.9 after 'optimisation' Any help or insights would be extremely helpful as I feel hopeless!

Multilingual Version of a Website
Hi All, We created 'EN' and 'FR' version of a website and translated all labels and message from English to France with the help of Google Translator. Lets take an example: English version URL - https://www.sitegeek.com/softlayer France version URL - https://fr.sitegeek.com/softlayer France version also contain same reviews available on English version page. So the reviews content or language is same on both pages. To eliminate the duplicate content issue we put following meta tags on both 'EN" and 'FR' version pages : So My question is that (1.) Is this the correct implementation of Multilingual Version of a Website? (2.) Is Added meta tags work for both Google and Bing Search engine? (as Bing not indexing all pages) (3.) We are translated labels and messages from Google Translator. Is this the issue pages not being Indexed in Bing? (4.) Finally, What would the correct SEO approch if we translate our site in other languages? Rajiv

Moving Part of a Website to a Subdomain to Remove Panda Penalty?
I have lots of news on my website and unlike other types of content, news posts quickly become obsolete and get a high bounce rate. I have reasons to think that the news on my website might be partly responsible for a Panda penalty so I'm not sure. There are over 400 news posts on the blog from the last 4 years so that's still a lot of content. I was thinking of isolating the news articles on a subdomain (news.mywebsite.com) If the news play a part in the Panda penalty, would that remove it from the main domain?

Can a home page penalty cause a drop in rankings for all pages?
All my main keywords have dropped out of the SERPS. Could it be that the home page (the strongest) page has been devalued and therefore 'link juice' that used to spread throughout the site is no longer doing so. Would this cause all other pages to drop? I just can't understand how all my pages have lost rankings. The site is still indexed so there's no problem there.

Rankings Dropped
Hello, I wonder if anyone can point us in the right direction. Our main domain name has got a good SEO profile the domain is 12 years old and we have some good reputable links. On the 7th of Jan our website dropped in the rankings from 3rd to 10th for one of our main keywords and from then onwards some of our other keywords have dropped. We have a lot of landing pages that target specific keywords which look like a template page but just with the content changed. Can anyone pin point what could of caused this problem or has anyone experienced this before and knows how to fix it. I personally think we have been hit by the panda. Thanks, Scott

Google swapped our website's long standing ranking home page for a less authoritative product page?
Our website has ranked for two variations of a keyword, one singular & the other plural in Google at #1 & #2 (for over a year). Keep in mind both links in serps were pointed to our home page. This year we targeted both variations of the keyword in PPC to a products landing page(still relevant to the keywords) within our website. After about 6 weeks, Google swapped out the long standing ranked home page links (p.a. 55) rank #1,2 with the ppc directed product page links (p.a. 01) and dropped us to #2 & #8 respectively in search results for the singular and plural version of the keyword. Would you consider this swapping of pages temporary, if the volume of traffic slowed on our product page?
