Hi Chris
There are some suggestions here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/toolbar-not-showing-on-the-site - including clearing your cookies. So try to clear cookies and do it again.
Try disabling your plugins one by one and see if it shows back up.
Some more ideas here - http://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-showing-toolbar
It could be any number of things, so it might take a little trial and error.
Some ideas here too: http://www.webmechanix.com/wordpress-admin-bar-not-showing-up-fix

Hey Devanur and Dan,
Thank you so much for responds. I appreciate your advice on title length and etc. I am new to SEO but curious and persistent.
Dan, It's WordPress. I am using Yoast SEO plugin.
I figured it out what was causing it. It was the site title. on Setting > General > Site Title. When I removed it I don't have the duplication problem any more.
Now I got one more Q: I am working on two WordPress sites. on one of them after I log in WordPress I can see the black drop down bar on my actual site too. It has SEO, Security and Text Rich Snippets. It's awesome and very helpful. how can I turn it on my second site?
Thanks y'all
Chris

Christopher
Is this a WordPress site? If so, are you using an SEO plugins? Sometimes the code in the header.php file still causes WordPress to spit out more than one title tag. Let us know what setup you have.

Thanks Devanur
Just wanted to clarify that the new recommended length for titles is roughly 55 characters, or more accurately 512 pixels. Screaming Frog SEO Spider will now measure pixel width.

Hi Chris,
Even before addressing the duplicate page Title issue, these titles seem to be very long and stuffed with phrases and look spammy.
As you know, page Titles are one of the most important on-page optimization factors that can accommodate the target terms as they show up in search results. Its better if it is around 55-60 characters in size including spaces with the target term towards the beginning. If the title has to go beyond 55-60 characters, then the essence should be captured in the first 55-60 characters including spaces as Google truncates anything beyond around 55-60 characters and the search engine user cannot see beyond those ~60 characters in the search results.
Though Google seems to truncate titles in search results based on pixel width(512pixels) and not character limit, in general the 55-50 character limit is a safe bet while writing optimized page titles for your pages.Coming to the duplicate page Titles issue on your Wordpress website, you can use plugins like Yoast SEO or All-in-one SEO to customize the titles. Here is the deal, no two pages on the website should have same Titles or Descriptions. They should be unique by at least a word or few characters. You can have a look at your Google Webmaster Tools account for duplicate page Titles and Descriptions and act accordingly. And of course, Screamingfrog SEO spider is a superb tool for the purpose. Hope these help.
Best regards,
Devanur Rafi

Duplicate Title Tags How harmful is it?
I recently updated a site to use a new WordPress theme. This theme in conjunction with Yoast SEO plugin is causing duplicate Title tags. The tags have the same title in them. I discovered this when adding new keywords and pages to the page optimizer in moz. I have since turned off moz to stop the duplicate title tag issue however I am wondering if tuning off yoast is worse then the duplicate title tags. Any clarification on the duplicate page title issue and its consequences would be greatly appreciated.

Isnt it better to have headlines in H1 and H2 tags instead of p tags?
I am working with a simple site http://http://lightsigns.com/Uniko_Manufacturing_Limited.html They seek more SEO traffic. However, the two big headlines that read "Wholesale Supply to the Sign and Display Industries" which is on line 241 and 242 of the source code, its in a p tag, i.e. <p <span class="webkit-html-tag">style</p <span>="padding-top: 0pt; " class="paragraph_style_1">Wholesale Supply to the and <p <span class="webkit-html-tag">style</p <span>="padding-bottom: 0pt; " class="paragraph_style_1">Sign and Display Industries Likewise, the product titles are in p tags, also. For example, on the Slide-in Light Box product page, http://lightsigns.com/Slide_In_light_box.html , I have done keyword research and no one is using the words slide in light box.Plus, it is also a p tag, ie. line 43 reads style="padding-bottom: 0pt; padding-top: 0pt; " class="paragraph_style">Slide-in Light Box If I suggest that they make an H2 tag with SEO-optimized keywords such as Display Light Box - Slide-In LIght Box, would this indeed help SEO? In summary, is it correct to say that H1 and H2 tags are stronger signals to the search bots of what the page is about?

A week ago I asked how to remove duplicate files and duplicate titles
Three weeks ago we had a very large number of site errors revealed by crawl diagostics. These errors related purely to the presence of both http://domain name and http://www.domain name. We used the rel canonical tag in the head of our index page to direct all to the www. preference, and we have no improvement. Matters got worse two weeks ago and I checked with Google Webmaster and found that Google had somehow lost our preference choice. A week ago I asked how to overcome this problem and received good advice about how to re-enter our preference for the www.tag with Google. This we did and it was accepted. We aso submitted a new sitemap.xml which was also acceptable to Google. Today, a week later we find that we have even more duplicate content (over 10,000 duplicate errors) showing up in the latest diagnostic crawl. Does anyone have any ideas? (Getting a bit desperate.)

Duplicate Content issue
I have been asked to review an old website to an identify opportunities for increasing search engine traffic. Whilst reviewing the site I came across a strange loop. On each page there is a link to printer friendly version: http://www.websitename.co.uk/index.php?pageid=7&printfriendly=yes That page also has a link to a printer friendly version http://www.websitename.co.uk/index.php?pageid=7&printfriendly=yes&printfriendly=yes and so on and so on....... Some of these pages are being included in Google's index. I appreciate that this can't be a good thing, however, I am not 100% sure as to the extent to which it is a bad thing and the priority that should be given to getting it sorted. Just wandering what views people have on the issues this may cause?

Using the Canonical Tag
Hi, I have an issue that can be solve with a canonical tag, but I am not sure yet, we are developing a page full of statistics, like this: www.url.com/stats/ But filled with hundreds of stats, so users can come and select only the stats they want to see and share with their friends, so it becomes like a new page with their slected stats: www.url.com/stats/?id=mystats The problems I see on this is: All pages will be have a part of the content from the main page 1) and many of them will be exactly the same, so: duplicate content. My idea was to add the canonical tag of "www.url.com/stats/" to all pages, similar as how Rand does it here: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/canonical-url-tag-the-most-important-advancement-in-seo-practices-since-sitemaps But I am not sure of this solution because the content is not exactly the same, page 2) will only have a part of the content that page 1) has, and in some cases just a very small part. Is the canonical tag useful in this case? Thank you!
