Opensite explorer and Just discover links
-
Hi
Not sure if it is just me, but I am seeing no data for Just discovered.
I know there should be data in there.
Is anyone else having any issues this morning.
Thanks
-
thanks, got it working with the advice. Looking forward to have the issue fixed.
-
Incidentally, someone reported and we've subsequently confirmed that domain / subdomain targets now only work if a trailing slash is present. With this issue identified, we'll have a fix in short order!
-
We're currently not experiencing any operational issues of which we're aware. Are there specific pages you're having trouble finding links to? Have you tried first checking for links to that domain rather than to a specific page?
-
I do not definitely know, but I am guessing that since they are between updates (it was supposed to happen on the 18th and its happening on the 22nd now) that they might have scraped that data to use for the update. But that is just my best guess.

Link tracking list not finding my links
I am using the Link Tracking List to track new backlinks that I have achieved. However, the report still shows about half of them as not found... even some that have been there for several weeks. I thoroughly tested a couple of them to make sure the links were coded in html, there were no nofollow/noindex rules, the bot was not blocked etc, but still found nothing. What can I do now?

Inbound links for https://www.example.com versus just example.com
Hi all, Wondering the difference between the Inbound Links stats for https://www.example.com versus only using example.com. When I type in the https:// version, I see 3 Spam Flags - for the example.com version, there are none. There are also spammy links pointing to the https version as opposed to the non-https version when I use this tool: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/researchtools/ose/ Anyone know the difference and which should be regarded when fixing spam issues?

How can I get links indexed in Just Discovered Links, or Open site Explorer? (Because it aint Bit.ly or Feedly!)
Dear Moz & Forum, I've been on a bit of a merry-go-round with one of my clients. He knows enough about SEO to ask questions, and one thing he likes is to see the links that we are building inside Open Site Explorer. Now, of course we know that it takes a while for links to show, but that was ok, because we could just plug the links that we've built into a bit.ly link and then they'd show under Just Discovered Links in Open Site Explorer, and then boom, we're happy. It stopped working some time ago, and after the support team were a little unstuck I sent a hopeful tweet to @randfish. Here is the response: https://twitter.com/randfish/status/788412272129347584 The advice to use Bit.Ly was removed swiftly after this! Oops! The current Guidance is here: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/guides/research-tools/open-site-explorer/justdiscovered It says: Want to see your new link in the Just-Discovered Links tab? An easy way to start seeing your link in the Just-Discovered section is to have it shared on Twitter and available on Feedly link. Feedly stopped supporting their own link shortner a few years ago. Also, when you share a link from Feedly on twitter it is just the same as sharing a normal tweet, because it shares the standard URL for the site not a link to view on Feedly. Or, maybe these two statements are independant of one another and they should both be done separately? I've done that too! I've also added the feed to recommended feeds inside fresh web explorer and that didn't work either! So, Moz and Help team please help me! How can I get links I've built for clients into Just Discovered Links? Thank you!

Open Site Explorer not attributing page authority
Hi there, I have been having an issue with OSE attributing page authority to one of the sites I have been looking at. The homepage page authority is fine but any page after this does not have any according to OSE. I have been in touch with Moz and they have stated it's because there are no external or internal links pointing to any of these pages. However, I know that their are internal links pointing to these pages from the homepage in the nav. The domain is: https://healys.com/ If anyone has any ideas what may be going on that would be great. Thanks!

Open Site Explorer Messge - Mysite.com redirects to www.mysite.com
Hello All, When I plug in my site's URL http://mysite.com ( Not my actual URL of-course) into the OpenSiteExplorer tool I get the following message: "You entered the URL http://Mysite.com which redirects to http://www.Mysite.com/.
Link Explorer | | jjimen03
Because it's likely to have more accurate metrics, we're showing data for the redirected URL instead.
Click here to analyze http://Mysite.com instead?" Not sure why I am getting this message. On my hosting server, I have defined my preferred domain to be the non-www. version. I have also used a Canonical Tag on Mysite.com/index.html file ( ). In addition, on Google Search Console ( Webmaster Tools ) , I have added both the www. and non-www. properties, where on both property settings, I have defined the non-www. version as my preferred one. Also, on my server, I have not implemented any 301 redirects at all. So my questions are: Why am I receiving this message when plugging in my non-www. URL version of my website into OpenSiteExplorer? Is my DA or PA possibly being split up between the two versions as a result? Should I be concerned? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.0
