Hello,
First deactivate the Sitemap functions, clear cache and then reactivate the Sitemap functions & voilá the error 404 is gone! if not, add this to the .htaccess file:
<ifmodule mod_rewrite.c="">RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^sitemap_index.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=1 [L]
RewriteRule ^([^/]+?)-sitemap([0-9]+)?.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=$1&sitemap_n=$2 [L]</ifmodule>cheers!

It should be checked. I did notice my site took a little while to actually generate the sitemaps after installing Yoast.
-
Yes this box is checked and it gives me the options then. Should it not be checked?
-
You have checked the box "to enable XML sitemap functionality" ? In the Yoast SEO XML Sitemap settings.
-
I am getting a 404 error.
-
No you will not 404 for this one i have done same for the http://wallpapersak.com/

On-page SEO optimization
hi there! Is it possible not to be in the first 20 or 30 positions in the SERPs after executing onpage SEO actions (keyword optimization, metatags, ....) even for keywords for which there's not "too much" competition? Is there a way of visualize the pages indexed by the google bot? (the pages especifically, not the number) in order to discard indexing problems? Thank you!

Internal Linking
I am trying to figure out internal linking. Please help me. Your "root domain" (the top level example.com) is the easiest to rank on a SERP. When you build Page Rank on this page, you want to make sure the majority of the PR goes into internal pages that matter. To do this you determine what internal pages are most important and put them on the menu bar. You then link to these pages in the body text, or via side bars. This will ensure that the PR is flowing from the root domain into the internal pages multiple times. The second part is to link from these secondary pages back to the main page. Correct? When you build back links on the internal page, you want to pass the PR back to the main page... Please discuss this...

Hello, I have an online store specialized in offers and discounts (http://www.offertazo.com/) with an indexation problem. The products are not updated correctly. I think the problem is that when I publish a new offer, it doesn´t appear on the top of my page´s SERP. I would appreciate any suggestions. Best regwards.

Canonical URL problem
On page analysis wanted me to add a canonical url tag. However I added then re ran the on page analysis and it came up with an error. What is the proper way to add a canonical url tag in the head of an index page? ie. add a canonical tag to www.hompeage.com/index.html would it be ? Or should I ignore this for a home page? Because I add it then run the analysis again and get this? Appropriate Use of Rel Canonical Moderate fix <dl> <dt>Canonical URL</dt> <dd>"http://www.ensoplastics.com/index.html"</dd> <dt>Explanation</dt> <dd>If the canonical tag is pointing to a different URL, engines will not count this page as the reference resource and thus, it won't have an opportunity to rank. Make sure you're targeting the right page (if this isn't it, you can reset the target above) and then change the canonical tag to reference that URL.</dd> <dt>Recommendation</dt> <dd>We check to make sure that IF you use canonical URL tags, it points to the right page. If the canonical tag points to a different URL, engines will not count this page as the reference resource and thus, it won't have an opportunity to rank. If you've not made this page the rel=canonical target, change the reference to this URL. NOTE: For pages not employing canonical URL tags, this factor does not apply.</dd> <dd>So do I add it or not? Cononical URL problem
Hello, In the keywords difficulty tool, one of my client's sites has a different number for links to root domain and links to page even though they're both the home page. How do I tell if I have a cononical URL problem, and what do I do about it if I do? Thank you.

Internal link to the home page
When building menus and other internal links, should the link to the home page be http://www.domain.com/ or http://www.domain.com/index.html or does it matter? Best,

Okay, if I write 10 different articles on my site that are related to one of my products. Can I safely have a link in every article to my product?
