Secure and non-secure Schema.org Markup?
-
Is it possible to have schema.org itemtypes for both secure and insecure ports? I run a static-ish site made in Jekyll, and am implementing Schema.org on the individual pages. As a result, I'm trying to use the following:
This doesn't validate with Google's Rich Snippet Tool. It doesn't register the Items as existing. Is there a good way to implement Schema.org in a static page hosted on both SSL and non-SSL ports?

the http URL will not work on an https page. I have changed the URL to https and it works in http and https sites. Thank you.

Hello RoxBrock,
I have verified markup on https sites/urls with that tool so I'm not sure that's the issue. If the code you put above is the entirety of your markup, it looks to me like you've left out a few things, such as:
The full URL to the Schema itemtype. You have //schema.org/organization but I would put http://schema.org/Organization.
YOUR CLIENT ORGANIZATION
Perhaps this could be the cause for your markup not validating with Google? Please try and let us know how it goes.

Data-vocabulary.org for structured markup in 2019
Hi MOZ friends, One of our clients has used data-vocabulary.org for structured markup. Schema.org says: "If you are already publishing structured data markup and it is already being used by Google, Microsoft, Yandex or Yahoo!, the markup format will generally continue to be supported. Changing to the new markup format could be helpful over time because you will be switching to a standard that is accepted across several companies, but you don't have to do it." Although there is such statement, as schema.org is the common vocabulary in 2019, should I keep it or change it with schema.org? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Size of image for article Schema
Hi, I implemented schema markup for an article and all tested fine and I can see it being fired in preview mode of Google Tag Manager. But when I run the URL which has it applied through Google Structured Testing tool it is not appearing. I have now read that the image needs to be a certain size. For AMP articles this appears to be 12oo pixels wide http://www.thesempost.com/google-changes-image-size-requirements-amp-articles/ But what about non-AMP articles? Does it need to be that big too?

Structured markup for wordpress
Hello, I am having problems with marking up my WP posts. I used the All-in-One which seems to be the most user-friendly, except when I denote the aspects of the "article" and update, the markup shows up as a box at the bottom of the post (even though the info is in the text). How do I mark these up for Google without having the unseemly box at the bottom? Thanks so much in advance for any help! Btw, I am not altogether comfortable just yet on manual schematic markup (if you have a really basic manual markup that will let me do so across various platforms, I would also appreciate the recommendation). Thanks!

Schema markup for products is missing "price": Is this bad?
Hey guys, So a current client of mine has an e-commerce shop with a few hundred products. They purposely choose to keep the prices off of their website, which is causing errors in Google Webmaster Tools. Basically the error shows: Error: Structured Data > Product (markup: schema.org) Error type: missing price 208 items with error Is this a huge deal? Or are we allowed to have non-numerical prices for schema ie. "call for quote"

Hacking and security
Hi, we have had some of our sites hacked and i would like your advice on the situation. We pay a fair but of money for a dedicated server as we thought that by having a dedicated server it would make the sites secure. The language we use for our sites are joomla and wordpress but yesterday a few of them on the dedicated server were hacked. the hosting company have sent us the following info 'There is one extra security improvement on the system we may offer you and it is cloudlinux with cageFS. This improves the overall security on the server but will not stop unsecured code exploiting if such coding is present in your website scripts.' The hosting company is asking for an extra £20 a month to add this on. we asked the hosting company what they meant by unsecured code and they said: 'Unsecure coding is code in your scripts which will allow injections of files from external source. Unfortunately better explanation is not available and for any detailed information you may check with experience local web developer.' We thought that the sites would be secured. The hosting company have said that because one of the sites was not updated from joomla 1.5 to joomla 3.0 which we were planning to do this week, this is the reason why it has happened. However, this does not make any sense, as this is a dedicated server so why has the wordpress sites which are up to date been hacked when they are on the same dedicated server. any advice in understand more on this issue would be great, as i need to find out why this has happened and if i should be taking my sites to another hosting company

Redirecting non-www to www
Hi all, I recently ran my first diagnostic test with SEOmoz and was alarmed to find my company's site has over 8,000 cases of duplicate content, virtually all of which can be attributed to separate domains, www vs. non-www. So after some research I found that this can be solved easily using .htaccess. However I found a warning on another site that if my site has already been indexed by Google without the www, there could be side effects like a loss in PR. Can anybody tell me how to find out whether my site falls into this category? I do have access to Google Webmaster tools but I can't find anywhere that tells me how my site's been indexed. Thanks in advance.
