Tag pages can be valuable if they are unique and substantive.
If your tag pages are all short like these then I would 301 them. You also might be able to disable them in your content management system.
I don't use tag pages. Instead my blog has a homepage, post pages and hand-built category pages that are outside of the content management system.

Hi EGOL,
Thank you for this. I have 96 tag pages should I get rid of all of these and do 301?

In this case, it is not about the "website". In this case it is all about the business.
* They arrived at the fight (on the web) 13 years ahead of you and have been in business since 1975.
* They are a more mature business with strong industry recognition and lots of mentions.
* They have well-known leadership with lots of mentions.
* Visit their "about us" page and compare.
If this company ever figures out how to run a good website you are really in trouble... better beat them now while they are in low form.
If you want to improve your site... get rid of all of these tag pages... they all have identical content.... they are sucking your power and could be getting you in trouble with panda. Take a look at the three URLS below and compare them. Should tell you why google hates these pages and maybe your website. You have LOTS of these pages.

I have over 3000 4xx errors on my site for pages that don't exist! Please help!
Hello! I have a new blog that is only 1 month old and I already have over 3000 4xx errors which I've never had on my previous blogs. I ran a crawl on my site and it's showing as my social media links as being indexed as pages. For example, my blog post link is:
Technical SEO | | thebloggersi
https://www.thebloggersincentive.com/blogging/get-past-a-creative-block-in-blogging/
My site is then creating a link like the below:
https://www.thebloggersincentive.com/blogging/get-past-a-creative-block-in-blogging/twitter.com/aliciajthomps0n
But these are not real pages and I have no idea how they got created. I then paid someone to index the links because I was advised by Moz, but it's still not working. All the errors are the same, it's indexing my Twitter account and my Pinterest. Can someone please help, I'm really at a loss with it.

Hi Mozers, is the AMP project is supposed to be an SEO factor on mobile platforms? Also, can it be used on ecommerce sites such as Magento or Shopify as well? Thanks!
It stands to reason that Google will favor early adopters of Accelerated Mobile Pages, but it seems heavily geared toward news publishers so far. What about regular Wordpress sites, or ecommerce sites like Shopify, should AMP be pursued on that type of CMS?

Can someone evaluate this page so I can continue adding others?
Hi, I am adding a bunch of similar category stickers and I am not looking into that good SEO for these since there will be hundreds of them coming but I just want to include the relevant keywords that people perhaps use in the Google image search to take them to our site. They are all related to JDM (Japanese Domestic Motors) so I decided to include JDM at the end of all the SEO titles. I am writing totally different short descriptions for all of these stickers and the Related Products are changing as well. I just want to achieve something like Amazon or eBay listings do - not the perfect SEO since I cannot spend too much time with each sticker optimizing it but I don't want to NOINDEX, FOLLOW them either - hence the different related products for all items and also unique short descriptions. If you check one of the pages: http://www.redrockdecals.com/rising-sun-wakaba-leaf-sticker-red-black-jdm Do you think I should be in the safe side so I don't hurt my overall SEO? Thanks!!

Good organic ranking/Poor local ranking
Hi, I am a local retailer with a physical store in a major US City. My website is very well ranked on major keywords related to my business from an organic result perspective (between 1st and 3rd spot). However, in terms of local results (google place), my website isn't even ranked (except for one specific long tail keyword). Anybody know why? Thank you so much for your help. This is driving me crazy:-)

Please help....
Hi Guys! Ok a bit of a funny one here which is causing a confusion between us and a web designer and I was wondering if anyone on here might be able to help. Just a bit of back ground for you, the website has been built on Concrete 5 and when we tried to building a sitemap we found over 110,000 pages. When we spoke to the web designer they have told us that within Google webmaster tools, Google has only indexed 58. But.... (and this is where things get a little confusing, so bare with me.) I thought that cant be right so into the Google search bar I put in site:www.sitename.co.uk and had 217 results appear. So google cant have just 58 pages indexed, right? So after speaking to the designer he then posted on the Concrete 5 help forum, to try and help figure it out. I have posted his exact forum post below that the web designer has asked: I'm having some issues where a site we are working on seems to be making multiple pages going to the same page. An SEO specialist has run a report and found a number of duplicate pages created by C5. We are concerned that this is going to dilute or worse penalise the way google sees the site. http://www.sitename.co.uk/

[http://www.sitename.co.uk/index.php?cID=?akID[155]atSelectOptionID... Is there a way of stopping google from accessing these duplicate 'cID' pages and stop them being made? Also is there a way of getting rid of the ones that are there? We've done a number of sites in C5 and are beginning to get concerned about this... So I guess my question is: If I can access the same content via 4-5 different cID's is that classed as duplicate content? Thanks in advance guys, and any help would greatly appreciated. 🙂0 -
What pages of my site does Google rank as the most important?
If I type site:youtube.com into Google, are the results listed by what Google considers to be the most important pages of the site? If I change my sitemap should this order change? Thanks!
