My www. domain has less page authroity than my non www.
-
I have a webmaster working on the site and I don't really remember how it got this way but it now appears that the non www have more PA than the www.
I am redirecting it so I guess it's a good thing? should I move the site so that it's the root and www is the redirect? any help is greatly appreciated!

I see. well looks like they already added the rel=alternative links into the code.
I guess the only thing left to do is set the preferred domain in WM tools.

there is a difference between http://www.example.com | http://example.com and http://www.subdomain.example.com | htttp:subdomain.example.com
You can still redirect and it will work the same its just a bit more out of normal. You will still see some juice pointing towards the old site but realistically its getting redirected to the new site, a little confusing I know.
No if you've got sub domains for translations you don't want to 301 them you want a tag - rel=alternative this will stop duplicate content but will let the site be a bit more independent as well as keep content where as a 301 would show the same content and not be as helpful for the users.
in short
- 301 www. or http into the counter part
- use rel=alternaitve for sub domains that are for alternative languages etc.
- Don't panic about one having more or less authority it can be change as you work on an SEO strategy.

Okay great. Just curious because i redirected it months about and it still shows more pagerank...and a few links on it that's why I am confused.
So the redirect + selecting my preference will do the trick? Perhaps it's because the main URL is www. and the subdomains are site.mainsite no www. which are the translations example vi.site and zh.site
Should I be consistent through out the site? Really appreciate the help.

I think you are confusing your self a bit there. Once you 301 redirect it, all the authority is redirected too. you don't need to worry about putting a page or anything on it.
Google will re-crawl the links find the link redirects and then move the authority over to the new location.

Hi,
thanks for the answer! So the site is on the less PA do i requested google to take that one? But all the links are indexed as www. will google have to to non index then index again? Am i able to put a page on the non www even if i redirect and link to other pages using it to get more juice to other pages.

You can have either www. or none it really doesn't make a huge difference. When you find one you like you can redirect the other into it and tell webmaster tools which is you preferred domain. So find your preference of domains (it's not a big deal which has more or less PA though but if one is getting links naturally its probably a good idea to stick with it).
The redirect will fix any issues so don't worry.

Big page of clients - links to individual client pages with light content - not sure if canonical or no-follow - HELP
Not sure what best practice here is: http://www.5wpr.com/clients/ Is this is a situation where I'm best off adding canonical tags back to the main clients page, or to the practice area each client falls under? No-following all these links and adding canonical? No-follow/No-index all client pages? need some advice here...

How much domain authority is passed on through a link from a page with low authority?
Hello, Let's say that there is a link to site A from site B. The domain authority of site B is 85, but the link is on a page that has a page authority of only 1. Does much authority get passed along from site B to site A? (Let's assume site A has a domain authority of 35, if that's relevant.) Thank you!

Www vs non-www
We just had our site redesigned. Previously, it was indexed under www.suss.net, but now the developer has it at suss.net with www.suss.net 301 redirecting to suss.net. Is this bad for SEO?

Switch domain from one account to another at domain registrar
We need to move our domain from one account to another at our domain registrar (which is Moniker). Both the "from" account and "to" account will be at Moniker. The "from" account currently has privacy settings enabled and we'd also put these in place for the "to" account. Has anyone done this and see any impact on SEO? Is there any big or common mistakes that I should be aware of? Thanks all!
