I found a link to my customer's site with an over-optimized anchor text using the OpenSite Explorer tool, but when I opened the link, my customer's link is nowhere to be found.
Here is the link Opensiteexplorer gave me:
http://www.derbymadness.com/my-profile/demolition-derby-groups/viewgroup/12-web
And here is my customer's link: 1896omalleyhouse.com
The link is not on the cached version of the page either.
Can anyone tell me how this might happen?
Thanks!

Thanks! I did see it disappear after I posted the question. It's good to know that Roger crawls about 30 days or so.

It's actually gone now, as Keri below has indicated.

I did a search for "french quarter" on that domain, and found a cached link at http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:JBWoP_J3zQcJ:www.derbymadness.com/my-profile/demolition-derby-groups/viewbulletins%3Fgroupid%3D12+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us. Looks like the page has since been edited/removed and is nothing to worry about now.
How it happened was that the link was there when Roger crawled, but he only crawls once a month or so, and the link was removed since the last crawl.

What's the anchor text of the over-optimized link used?

Google isn't recognizing links to my site. help
I recently changed my domain name and i see on moz that NOTHING is linking to my current domain (even though I have changed all of my links to go to my current domain name). My domain authority remains higher with my old domain name. I do have my old domain linking to my current site. Should I worry about this? How can i get google to recognize the link changes?

Linking to the same sites from more than one of my sites, is this bad?
If I work for a company that has more than one website within the same industry and we have separate websites within that industry. An example would be: CarLoans.com HomeLoans.com & PersonalLoans.com The only difference from this example is that we are a B2B Company. My question is: is it bad to acquire links from the same external websites for multiple websites that we own and want to rank for? If I establish a relationship with Forbes or some other website and I can get links to several of our sites, will it ever be bad to link to all of our websites from this one website. I am asking not just for high domain authority website like Forbes, but also for websites that may have a DA in the 30's 40's and 50's as well. Thank you

Inbound link is follow link but we put no follow link back - is it beneficial for rankings?
Dear Moz Community, We are operating in a niche market, where there are not so many content marketing options. What we are left with are link exchanging with relevant sites that are on the same topic but to not directly compete with us. Now we know that if we link back to site A and site a links back to us - for google this is not a very good link. But, some of the sites we are exchanging links with, do not know the term follow vs no follow links. My question - if your link is to site A is a no follow link but they give us a follow link - does it mean thats a better option than a follow vs follow. Thanks for help!

Someone's been spamming my client...
Hi all Bit of a strange one....doing a backlink analysis for my client's website (a handmade oak furniture supplier) and noticed there are about 13,000 spam backlinks to the domain from dozens of websites for keywords related to replica watches. Odd! Obviously neither us nor them have made these backlinks. Would a disavow be enough action to take in this case? I would rather the client not see a penalty in WMT for spam backlinks for this. Not sure how, or why, we have acquired this links. I can only think someone has been trying to do a spot of negative seo against the site Thanks Carl

Links from flash site completely useless?
From a link building perspective, is a link from a site that's completely flash any good? Can google crawl flash sites at all, or it a waste of time trying to get a link from a flash site?

Should a site run it's own affiliate program to get inbound links?
I've recently signed an ecommerce client who runs their affiliate program through Commission Junction. If they were to bring their program in-house and eventually get all those affiliate links pointed to their domain, would those links be counted?

What is the best way to make sure competitors or others aren't buying links on my sites behalf to penalize us?
Is there a good way to do this? Does the Open Site Explorer have an ability to screen by when the link was found, or help by picking up on potentially shady links? Thanks much..
