Is there a good tool for finding co-occurance words/terms?
-
It would be great if there was a tool that helped find words/terms frequently used with other terms.
For example, a search in this theoretical tool for "mobile app development" could bring up "iPhone app development" and "mobile app design" as examples of frequently co-occuring words.
Any ideas or tools for this kinda thing?

Hi,
Ubersuggest is maybe something you can try. http://ubersuggest.org/
It's a bit limmited, but sometims still some good suggestions. -
Looks cool. Not exactly what I'm looking for but thanks for the rec

This is not exactly what you were asking about, but you could look at: http://www.ntopic.org/
You submit a keyword and some content and it will tell you how relevant the content is and also suggest keywords that should (and should not) be there (and how often) in order to improve relevance.

I've kind of found a hack way to do it… (you need a basic gmail account for this)
I go to Google AdWords, under the Tools tab I click "Keyword Planner".
Then under the "search for new keyword and ad group ideas" I enter in the keyword. When you click "Get Ideas" it will give you a whole listing of relevant keywords.
The purpose of this service is obviously to sell you the campaign but I use it to get keyword ideas. It also shows the competition for the words and how many people search the words monthly, so that's a bonus!
There's probably a better way out there and I'm sure there's a resource for this specifically…but this does the trick for me

Language/Country Specific Pages All in English
Hi Folks, I have been checking how many pages our competitors have indexed in Google compared to our website and I noticed that one of our main competitors has over 2 million indexed pages and I have figured out that it is because they have language/country specific pages for every page on their website. That being said, these pages contain all of the same content and the language doesn't actually change, it remains in English. Now my question is this. Will this not in fact hurt their rankings, in terms of duplicate content? Or am I missing something here? The URL's essentially do something like www.competitor.com/fr/ for France for example but as I say the content is in English, and duplicates their main website. Seems odd to me but would love your opinions on this. Thanks. Gaz

Webmaster Tools HTML Improvements Page Blank / Site Not Ranking Well
I have an ecommerce site that is not ranking well currently. It has about 1,000 pages indexed in Google but very few appear to be ranking. I normally find issues in Webmaster Tools HTML Improvements but for some reason it does not see a problem with the site. There are problems, trust me. Moz shows many issues. Google nothing! There is a problem somewhere but I am not seeing it. Why are HTML Improvements blank and the site not ranking? Am I in the dreaded sandbox? Any ideas? Sean We didn't detect any content issues with your site. As we crawl your site, we check it to detect any potential issues with content on your pages, including duplicate, missing, or problematic title tags or meta descriptions. These issues won't prevent your site from appearing in Google search results, but paying attention to them can provide Google with more information and even help drive traffic to your site. For example, title and meta description text can appear in search results, and useful, descriptive text is more likely to be clicked on by users.

Search terms that have the same meaning
If there are two fairly equally strong search terms that mean the same thing and want to direct people to a single page on my site, is it recommended that both phrases be placed in the H1? For example, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich (BLT Sandwich) I don't want to rank high for only one phrase while ranking lower (and potentially losing users) for the second phrase. What's the best strategy for this?

If it's not in Webmaster Tools, is it Duplicate Title
I am showing a lot of errors in my SEOmoz reports for duplicate content and duplicate titles, many of which appear to be related to capitalization vs non-capitalization in the URL. Case in point, if a URL contains a lower character, such as: http://www.gallerydirect.com/art/product/allyson-krowitz/distinct-microstructure-i as opposed to the same URL having an upper character in the structure: http://www.gallerydirect.com/art/product/allyson-krowitz/distinct-microstructure-I I am finding that some of the internal links on the site use the former structure and other links use the latter structure. These show as duplicate title/content in the SEOmoz reports, but they don't appear as duplicate titles in Webmaster Tools. My question is, should I try to work with our developers to create a script to change all of the content with cap letters in the destination links internally on the site, or is this a non-issue since it doesn't appear in Webmaster Tools?

What is a good, structured link building campaign?
I feel like I've tried everything up to this point. I also survived all of the recent Google updates, including the recent EMD update (my site is an EMD). Also I am in the financial sector. I blog every day, I've made some great infographics. I have a very nice website (much better than the competition's), I've done my on-page SEO. I've done the basic link building too. I've hit good business directories, good blog directories (like Technorati), and infographic directories. I've done a bit of comment linkbuilding but I don't see that being very fruitful. I also have a large twitter following + a twitter tribe that shares all of my blog posts. I can't say I've managed to build any sort of community however. My traffic has grown from 0 to anywhere from 80 to 160 visitors every day in just 3 months, and I am happy with that progress but it seems like I have plateaued. Sure I will continue creating content, but what can I do about link building? That's where the results are probably going to come from. I've read all the articles about it, took advice from LinkBuildingSchool.com... but at this point, I'm not sure how to continue. I dont want to continue going after blog comment links, I want quality. Any advice?

Blog Subscribers Count Tool
So, I have about 100 different blogs that I am starting to organize into a list of potential guest blog opportunities. I wanted to see how many subscribers each blog had to their site to better help identify the top influential blogs. The only way I know how to do this is to search for the site inside of Google reader. I was wondering if anybody knows of a tool or knows a way to scrape the blog subscriber count from Google docs, or something more scalable. Thanks, Jason
