How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ Campaigns?
-
Good morning Mozzers from the London, England.
This may be a silly question to many of the community, but here goes "How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ campaigns?"
I work in the gyms section in the UK and am tracking keywords like "Gyms in Liverpool" or "Manchester gyms" which send me some traffic.
I can see search terms like the above do send me traffic from Google's Webmaster Tools, but obviously this tool won't highlight the keyword opportunities I am missing out on because I currently don't rank.
Any guidance on this dilemma would be hugely appreciated,
Kindest regards
Ben

Hi Ben,
If you are already getting some traffics from some keywords. You can try out for Google Keyword Planner (https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner) and Keywordtool.io as advised by Martin. Also, you can Access your Google analytics in broader way by connecting it to MOZ pro Analytics> Keyword Ranking to get keywords based on your website and its competitors automatically.

Hi Ben
Have you already optimised your website for keywords? If not then follow Martijn's advice, if the current website is optimised then simply track all keywords which you are currently trying to rank for.

Hi Ben,
I would start off with doing some extensive keyword research to find the best keywords that are you related to your business. Tools you could use for that are Google Adwords Keyword Tool and Keywordtool.io. Next to that there are more than dozens of great blog posts on how to do keyword research, like for example: http://blog.kissmetrics.com/keyword-research-part-2/ and http://www.viperchill.com/keyword-research/

New to Moz, need some probably basic answers about Keywords, Linking, Competitors and General SEO
Hi, So I have quite a lot of data colelcted about my site now, regarding keyword research, page crawling and competitor research ect. But I find myself second guessing myself about what I have done and what to do next. I have done basic research for as many relevant keywords I could think of to my site, including branded and non branded terms. If the main competitive keywords for my niche are very competitive, shall I start doing more research for long tail keywords and only try to rank for them? Does is matter how many keywords I am doing research for? Does is matter how many keywords I try to optimise for each webpage? Are the amount of branded keywords I am researching skewing my results? As they are all ranked #1, but nearly all of the non branded keywords are much further down the list... Once I have decided what keywords are worth trying to ranking for for each page, are the techniques to actually rank more highly for them - Title, H1 Tag, Description, Meta Data, Fresh Content and using the keywords on the page? Or are there more techniques I haven't heard of? Under Keyword Rankings - I noticded that some of my keywords are directing to specific pages, like "Cavity Waxes" is directing to the URL ending in .com/cavity-waxes - How do you assign the keywords im researching to specific URLs? - Or does Moz do it automatically? As most of my keywords seem to be unassigned to any URL, is that because they are not ranking highly enough? How do I best use the data collected through Moz? Good practices? Techniques? Tips and Tricks? What is the best practice for finding potential link partners and asking them for mutual linking? Techniques for finding partners that are likely to link with us, but still provides link juice. I must apologise for this long-winded set of questions, but these are troubling me! Any help would be greatly appreciated, Kind regards, Max Johnson

Question for Moz developers - Highcharts?
So, I see that Moz is using Highcharts as it's charting display engine. What made you decide to use them instead of some of the other solutions out there, like FusionCharts or Google Charts, even creating your own home-made creation?
Moz Pro | | MrSchadow
Our company is starting over from scratch with reports/charts and are looking at other solutions than what we currently are using (fusioncharts/fusion widgets). And I wanted to get feedback on why you chose this route over any other. Thanks!!0 -

SEOmoz Keyword Difficulty Tool been down for a few days?
Hi All, I notice the SEO moz keyword difficulty tool has been down for a few days!!! I know from support that they say it is going to be a "while" till it fixed, but some type of estimation on how long it will be will be good. Also in regards to the types of accounts, why do the top accounts have the same limitations as the 79/month tool in regards to the keyword tool reports (50 max and 5 per scan)? I mean this is probably a wider question for the SEOmoz team need to answer. Kind Regards.

Campaign Manager - Keyword Grouping
Hey, I was just thinking that it would be useful to be able to group keywords by page or some other factor in the campaign monitor keyword rank checking tool (I am sure it's called something better than that). Maybe it's just me, but I am struggling a little with this for relatively smaller sites so if I could tag each keyword and filter / group them by the tag it would be another useful tool for my seo utility belt. Fairly painless to implement as well I would imagine. 1. Create tags 2. assign tags to keywords with a drop down (optional) Would be a useful tool when exporting data to group by tag etc. Just a thought. 🙂 Marcus

Keywords in front of the title element and on page keyword optimization
After running one of my landing pages through the SEOmoz on-page keyword optimization tool, I see that my keywords are 13 characters from the front of the title. My page is already receiving an A letter grade. The 13 characters in front of my keyword phrase are not vital, but they related to the keyword phrase. Is it that important that I drop the related word, in order to get my keyword phrase to start at the front?
