Authorship integration
-
Hi
Do you need or is it preferred to have an author page on your website to best integrate and take advantage of authorship integration ?
I'm looking at Google+ instructions for setting up and doesn't mention it - saying all you need to do is as they instruct
However even if they dont require it to integrate is it still better to have one for better author signals ?
Also if you dont have a blog on your site (say you have a news page instead) can you still have an author page or does author page have to be the following format blog/author/name ?
Cheers
Dan

Thanks Dan
It is a corporate website but will have news section/blog where im looking to integrate with authorship for at least those pages
I'm really asking here about how important it is to actually have an author page in addition to what's required by G for integartion (author tag and g+ personal page integration) ?
cheers

Yes it is very good to add the authorship tag. Heres a great article by AJ Kahn on Authorship: http://www.blindfiveyearold.com/author-rank
In fact when you add your authorship you gain credibility as a writer and you can also have an image come up on the SERPs next to your articles, this will result in a higher click through rate.

It depends on what kind of content you are producing. If it is a blog or news site with actual authors then yes you should take advantage of authorship. If it is a corporate site with no engaging, unique content then it is not recommended.
The author tag is integrated into pages that the author has written, not an author page - such as an 'about me' page.

Facebook Pixel Integration
Howdy Moz Fans, When using a Facebook Pixel Integration plugin it sticks a small pixel on all your pages. Who votes that you should "no follow" this link? Interested to hear opinions on this. Example destination it sticks on the page is https://www.facebook.com/tr?id=1318310838201946&ev=PageView&noscript=1&cd[source]=magento&cd[version]=1.9.3.1&cd[pluginVersion]=2.2.4&a=exmagento-1.9.3.1-2.2.4 Not a major issue, but it does flag up about 3000 times on Screaming Frog as it doesnt have a image alt....

What's the best way to integrate off site inventory?
I can't seem to make any progress with my car dealership client in rankings or traffic. I feel like I've narrowed out most of the common problems, the only other thing I can see is that all their inventory is on a subdomain using a dedicated auto dealership software. Any suggestion of a better way to handle this situation? Am I missing something obvious? The url is rcautomotive.com Thanks for your help!

ATG & Endeca Integration & SEO implications
Does anyone have any first hand experience or must have recommendations around ATG & Endeca integration? I am somewhat familiar with ATG and the Oracle ATG guide, but if anyone has any specific SEO considerations they'd like to share? i.e. jumpservlet and SEO URLs Thanks!

Authorship and Circles
This may be a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. How does the number of circles that a person is in affect their rankings when authorship is installed. Does it make much of a difference? Knowing Google, I would imagine that it does.

Should you claim authorship on guest posts?
Suppose you write a guest post for an authoritative site, is it beneficial to claim authorship of the article by linking to your Google Plus profile and adding the site to your account as a site you contribute to? If yes, would you do this for dozens of sites? (since your contributor list could get really long).

To integrate a blog tool onto site - or build a blog solution - what's better for SEO?
Currently looking at adding a blog to our company site subdirectory and wanted to know if there was a SEO distinction between the following methods: Integrating a bolt-on blog tool with the site to create the blog VS. just using the current site infrastructure to build blog functionality. What's better for SEO? (and if tool integration is the overwhelming response - which tool?). Cheers.

Can these Yoast SEO integration issued be solved?
I had a site analysis done by the Yoast team. Of course, one of their recommendations was to install the Yoast SEO product. I see that there are many independent sources highly recommending it. But my programming is coming back with some concerns. My website is www.heartspm.com, for anyone who is interested in further analysis of my issue. My programmer's notes follow. Unfortunately, they are a bit to cryptic: "1. it does not do all for us anyway, so we'd have to keep the one's I made
Technical SEO | | GerryWeitz
before anyway, at least partially, but it will add up to complexety, loading
time as all new, and especially one-size-fits all plugins 2. another problem - Simple Press forum. Yoast does not have an extention for it, nor is it going to work along with our existing forum's SEO handling solution. So, it's
either reverting back to original SEO handling or forgetting Yoast. 3. original handling means no meta description although I think Yoast will put just
one description for each page, and title will be something like "<forum <br="">title> - <topic title="">whatever else you may want" 4. the same thing with XML sitemap 5. we won't be able to use Yoast's because it won't handle cities 6. and hopefully it will work with our existing XML sitemap solution as this can be turned off" Now, The Yoast team admitted and logically said that the Yoast plugin cannot support another plugin and therefore it does not support forums. We currently integrate the forum into our Wordpress site and perhaps imperfectly, but we are able to append forum links to the xml sitemap. Do any of you have insight into how one incorporates a forum into a Wordpress blog while using Yoast SEO?</topic></forum> We have special parameter based handling of cities. We used to pass codes like city=?zip and the like. Now, the URLS are very clean looking, but they use templates to match up cities in a city table with content that is somewhat similar, yet customizable. So my programmer seems to be saying that the Yoast tool doesn't seem to handle templates well or is not able to interpret it and get it into a sitemap. Do any of you have insight into using Yoast SEO with Wordpress sites that use templates and variables for locals or something of a similar nature? The Yoast SEO module also has switches to help resolve issues with duplicate content and archives and authors and multiple pages, i.e. page 1-10 of Latest News. If I can't use the whole Yoast module, are there ways to use only parts of it or to strip it down to what I want? Do you think with the above considerations, that the Yoast SEO module is not worth the trouble? Thanks in advance, Humbly, Gerry0
