Duplicate Content
-
I am looking to check the duplicate content of two websites against each other, www.housesalesbulgaria.com and www.housesalesturkey.com. What is the best way to check this?
-
Felim, I agree with Mark. I'd also suggest looking into copyscape premium where you can provide text that you'd like to check for being duplicate content or you can provide a list of all your pages and copyscape will run it and provide a report pretty fast.
I hope this helps.

Hi Feilim,
You can use http://www.copyscape.com - I just tried a search for www.housesalesbulgaria.com and some duplicate content was flagged as appearing on www.housesalesturkey.com
I'm sure there are better tools available though. That's free and easy to use.

SEO Effect of inserting No indexed Contents in normal Pages (Nextgen Gallery)
Hello Dear Community, I'm running a photography website and have a question about the indexability of "No indexed Content" inserted on indexable pages. Background : I read everywhere that best practice is to "no index" all useless pages with few content, what I did with Yoast plugin : I no indexed all my nextgen galleries and "ngg_tags" since they create single pages for every photo, tags or slideshow. I did the same for all my porfolio-posts, price lists, testimonials and so on... Nevertheless, I inserted these galleries and portfolios on SEO optimized page for my target keywords. + Nextgen plugin automatically adds these images in the page sitemap. My idea is to have only my Seo optimized page showing in Google and not the others. Problem: I've been checking the results in Google Search Console, filtering by images : I discovered that most of the images featured in these Masonry galleries are not showing in google, and actually almost all the images indexed are the Wordpress from media gallery. I double checked with Screaming Frog, and the software doesn"t see images on these pages. My question is: Is the low indexablilty of these contents are related to the No indexation of the original contents ??? Does somebody has experienced the same issue that these contents doesn't show on Google ? in advance many thanks for your help

641 Crawl Errors In My Moz Report - 190 are high priority Duplicate Content
Hi everyone, There are high and medium level errors. I was surprised to see any especially since Google Analytics shows no errors whatsoever.190 errors - duplicate content.A lot of images are showing in the Moz Crawl Report as errors, and when I click on one of these links in the report, it directs to the image which displays on a blog post on the site unusually since I haven't started blogging yet.. So it looks like all those errors are because the images are appearing on their own post.So for example a picture of a mountain would be referred to with www.domain.com/mountains ; the image would be included in the content on a page but why give an image a page/post all of it's own when that was not my intention. Is there a way I can change this?# ----------------------------------------

These are things I first see at the top of the Moz Report: There are 2 similar home urls at the top of the report: http status code is 200 for both (1) and (2) Link Count for (1) is 71. Link count for (2) is 60. No client or server errors Rel Canonical Rel-Canonical Target
Yes http:// domain. co.uk/home
Yes http:// domain. co.uk/home/ Does this mean that the home page is being seen as a duplicate by Google and the search engines?http status codes on every page is 200.Your help would be appreciated.Best Regards,0 -

Someone mentioned us on facebook and brought 10k clicks to homepage.. how do I find the content?
So this morning our website started to go crazy with hits all coming from Facebook, and I am trying to figure out how I can see who was talking about us? All the traffic landed on one page specifically. When I look in analytics it just shows social, and then I can drill down to see they are coming from facebook, but that's it.

Google Analytics is treating my blog like all the content is just on the home page.
Hello all, I installed Google Analytics on a main website and a blog (blog.travelexinsurance.com) While it appears to be tracking correctly (and when I test it in real time it shows that I'm visiting) but it is treating the entire blog as though it's one page. So I can't see data on blog post X. All I see is that X visitors came to my blog in aggregate. So I see blog.travelex.com has 999 visitors, but it doesn't show that /travel-luggage got 50 visits, while /insurace-tips got 75 and so forth. I assume I screwed up the tracking somehow, but can't figure out where I went wrong. Tracking on the main domain works just fine. It's specific to the blog.

Moz Crawler suddenly reporting 1000s of duplicates (BE.net)
In the last 3-4 days we've had several thousand 'duplicate content' warnings appear in our crawl report, 99% of them related to our on-site blog. The blog is BlogEngine.Net, but the pages simply don't exist. The majority seem to be Roger trying quasi-random URLs like:
Reporting & Analytics | | Progauto
/?page=410 /?page=151 Etc. etc. The blog will present content for these requests, but it is of course the same empty page since there's only unique content for up to /?Page=10 or so. Two questions: 1. Did something change recently? These blogs have been up for months, and this problem has only come up this week. Did Roger change to become more aggressive lately? 2. Suggested remediation? On one of the blogs I've put no-index no-follow for any page that has a /?page querystring, and we'll see what effect that has come next crawl next week. However, I'm not sure this will work as per: http://moz.com/community/q/functionality-of-seomoz-crawl-page-reports Anyone else had dynamic blogs suddenly blossom into thousands of duplicate content warnings? Google (rightly) ignores these pages completely.0 -
How do I fix apparent duplicates
I'm auditing a site and would appreciate your help with possible explanations and solutions as to why Google Analytics in the Content Drilldown page is showing what appears to be duplicate pages. (Refer image) I'm wondering if I have got my head around the rel=canonical tag because the page I'd consider a duplicate "page/" has a Canonical tag pointing to "~/page.html" This is the tag from the page Locations/ rel="canonical" href="http://www.domain.com/Locations.html" /> so am unsure why both versions of the page are generating views. Shouldn't the Canonical tag work like a 301 redirect? I'm unsure how the pages using the path page/ are generating so many views because I have not been able to find them and they are not indexed by Google. Unfortunately the site is built using a Propriety CMS I'm not familiar with. exK4EqrU25

Duplicate page content
I'm seeing duplicate page content for tagged URLs. For example:
Reporting & Analytics | | DolbySEO
http://www.dolby.com/us/en/about-us/careers/landing.html
http://www.dolby.com/us/en/about-us/careers/landing.html?onlnk=al-sc as well as PPC campaigns. We tag certain landing pages purposefully in order to understand that traffic comes from these pages, since we use Google Analytics and don't have the abiility to see clickpaths in the package we have. Is there a way to set parameters for crawling to exclude certain pages or tagged content, such as those set up for PPC campaigns?0
