Lots of thanks emilia for your help!

I use a lot of the ones you've mentioned here too, but in addition: SEM Rush - which I don't think anyone has mentioned yet?
It's good for Rankings, competitor analysis, adwords analysis and SEO audits - it finds broken links, missing alt text, dupliacte meta tags etc etc. I find the reports it generates quite helpful and easy to use. I've used it for keyword analysis too in the past, but as my site is up and running I don't really do a lot of this anymore - I know what keywords bring in traffic... I'm pretty sure that I only scratch the surface of it and that there is a lot more to be got from it, but I only have so many hours in a day!!!
I don't just use one tool though - I use a few at once and combine the findings. I don't expect one tool to do it all
Hope this helps,
Amelia

You are right! Thanks for your answer.

No such thing as best tool for seo. Seo is huge, so there are different tools for different purposes.
-
That tool is similar to Accuranker. If you have time, you should try it.

-
No, sorry.
-
I don't know Accuranker, I use CuterRank. ¿Do you know that?
-
Accuranker is cheap, and allows me to instantly see how a page ranks for new content, and for after content is updated. I find it invaluable, as you can submit a page to webmaster tools via fetch and then check rankings 5 minutes later to see the effect (noting, you may see an initial effect and then some days later get more movement).
Cognitive SEO is great if you need full backlink data, i.e. for link cleanups etc or if you get hit by negative SEO etc. Basically it is cheaper than signing up to ahrefs, majestic and moz. Although Moz is great for all the other tools.
-
And the last tools that you say to me, are they good?
-
I use MOZ, screaming frog, semrush, ahrefs, cuterrank, xenu (I have started since Monday) and I don't remember more.
-
I only use two currently:
- Moz
- Accuranker (great rank tracker where you can update your rankings instantly as many times as you want)
- Occasionally I will use cognitiveseo as this takes in Moz, Ahrefs and majestic link data as well as webmaster tools data from your account and is useful for cleaning up backlinks (I was hit by negative seo last year).
I have tried many other tools, but these are the ones I keep going back to.
-
What tools do you use, and maybe I could recommend some others that way
-
Thanks Andy. I know all of them but I am going to search new tools for SEO. I hope that I am lucky. Thanks for all.
-
Lots of thanks! I use more tools but I would like to try new tools. I know all of them but thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately there isn't a 1 amazing tool like everyone has said, its all about using multiple tools and using the best tool to meet the specific task you are trying to complete.
It also depends on what budget you have for SEO software, I am quite fortunate in that I have quite a lot of the software agreed by my MD, but I know some who really struggle.
I use:
- Moz
- Rankwatch - for rank tracking
- Ahrefs
- Searchmetrics
- SEMRush
- Majestic
- Screaming frog
And those are the ones i use frequently there a couple more i have that I cant remember of top of my head that I use for certain tasks and projects.
I wish there was a one best solution, all the above solutions are good, but not great in isolation and need to be used together.
Thanks
Andy

SEO tools are like personal assistants:
- you will never find the "best"
- they never do your job (only assist you/speed you up)
- if you have the budget to have more, you get more work prepared by them
That is my shortlist
I personally use Screaming Frog + Moz, + Majestic + Xovi
I hope this helps.

Hello Carlos,
There isn't something like the best SEO tool, it always depends on you. I suggest you to test some tools (most of them have a free test month) and decide what works out best for you.

Multiple Markups on The Same Page - Best Solution?
Hi there! I have a website that is build in react javascript, and I'm trying to use markup on my pages. They are mostly articles about general topics with common questions (about the topic), and for most articles I would like to use two markups: article markup + FAQ Markup ( for the questions in the article) article markup + how-to markup Can I do this or will Google get confused? Since I have two @type at the same time, for example @type": "FAQPage" and "@type": "Article". How should I think? I'm using https://schema.dev/ right now. Thanks!

Best way to show content from articles I am published/featured in
Hi. I was wondering what was the best way to show my audience articles that my client is featured in. My client is specifically a surgeon, who has been referenced in many articles around his specific field of cosmetic surgery. An idea posed is to repost the entire article but just reference back to the original article. Is there an SEO friendly way of doing this? I have seen this done before, like search engine journal's author Larry Kim might repost something he wrote or published on wordstream onto search engine journal sometimes, but makes the reference that it was originally posted on wordstream. I know the standard thinking is to always just write new and unique content, but there is already a good amount written about our client and referencing his work, how can we use this to our advantage and give new or prospecting patients information regarding his credibility? Our client really does not want us to write articles for him, and he does not have the time to write them either. Again Question: How can we leverage articles and studies that have already been published online that is featuring our client and show them in full onto our own website?

What are the best practices for microdata?
Not too long ago, Dublin Core was all the rage. Then Open Graph data exploded, and Schema seems to be highly regarded. In a best-case scenario, on a site that's already got the basics like good content, clean URLs, rich and useful page titles and meta descriptions, well-named and alt-tagged images and document outlines, what are today's best practices for microdata? Should Open Graph information be added? Should the old Dublin Core be resurrected? I'm trying to find a way to keep markup light and minimal, but include enough microdata for crawlers to get a better sense of the content and its relationships to other subdomains and sites.

Hi Guys, I just got a remove url email from someone asking us to remove their link. What website or tool is best to see ALL of your external links sitewide from your website? And as a bonus, columns of "nofollow" and "follow". Thank you!

Webmaster Tools: Total Indexed VS Ever Crawled
Ok, In WMT's under health > index status I have both total indexed and ever crawled ticked - It also looks like the data is broken up weekly. As an example say you have the following: Total Indexed: 1000 Ever Crawled: 5000 What is this say? It found 5000 pages but only indexed 1000 (20%). Thanks

Help needed on Google Webmaster tools
Hi I notice that one of my oldest sites , even if I put hundred of backlinks (good or bad) google webmaster tools never index more like 20 per day. Why is this happening? They control it? I mean they dont let them all to get indexed and they take it slowly slowly? If I put just 20 per day is the ideal link building amount? Thnk you

How best to handle (legitimate) duplicate content?
Hi everyone, appreciate any thoughts on this. (bit long, sorry) Am working on 3 sites selling the same thing...main difference between each site is physical location/target market area (think North, South, West as an example) Now, say these 3 sites all sell Blue Widgets, and thus all on-page optimisation has been done for this keyword. These 3 sites are now effectively duplicates of each other - well the Blue Widgets page is at least, and whist there are no 'errors' in Webmaster Tools am pretty sure they ought to be ranking better than they are (good PA, DA, mR etc) Sites share the same template/look and feel too AND are accessed via same IP - just for good measure 🙂 So - to questions/thoughts. 1 - Is it enough to try and get creative with on-page changes to try and 'de-dupe' them? Kinda tricky with Blue Widgets example - how many ways can you say that? I could focus on geographical element a bit more, but would like to rank well for Blue Widgets generally. 2 - I could, i guess, no-index, no-follow, blue widgets page on 2 of the sites, seems a bit drastic though. (or robots.txt them) 3 - I could even link (via internal navigation) sites 2 and 3 to site 1 Blue Widgets page and thus make 2 blue widget pages redundant? 4 - Is there anything HTML coding wise i could do to pull in Site 1 content to sites 2 and 3, without cloaking or anything nasty like that? I think 1- is first thing to do. Anything else? Many thanks.
