Facebook Connect login preventing traffic source conversion data. Any solutions?

We're buying traffic to the website via Adwords, and when they hit the website and go to sign up for an application (enter into our conversion funnel), the session concludes as a bounced session, a new session starts and that session now has a referral from Facebook rather than the original referring source. This means we can't monitor adwords conversions properly (or any other traffic source conversions) this seems to be quite a common problem with Facebook/Google account logins, in the case of Google, people block account.google.com but we can't afford to block Facebook outright as we're wanting to see other Facebook referrals.
Has anyone come across this problem? Any suggestions of how to fix this?

There's a take on this at Quora here: http://www.quora.com/How-do-you-track-Facebook-Connect-signup-goals-in-Google-Analytics where the attribute is getting applied via a query string. In his example "redirect_to root_url(:new_facebook_user => resource.new_facebook_user)" 'resource' would be replaced with 'adwords' or whichever attribute you'd like. Cheers!

Conversion Rate Benchmarking and Optimization
Hey everyone! I run the marketing for an ecommerce marketplace and we're doing good on the SEO front of things, with 60%+ of our traffic coming in via search and we're ranking for some competitive keywords. I'm really curious about the conversion rate though. Despite intensive googling, I've not been able to find a rough benchmark for conversion rates. Our conversion rate is about 1.2%, increasing as we continue to do more optimization work with regards to the site's usability. While we track other forms of conversions, the 1.2% conversion rate is for bookings through the site, which is our main source of revenue. Does anyone have a reference guide for conversion rates, particularly for ecommerce marketplaces? I'd like to know if we're doing ok or really bad, and also to take reference from other similar sites to improve our conversion. Thanks!!

HELP: Analysing data to make decisions, SEO vs PPC
Hi mozers! I have recently been seeing good results in the serps lately for my main keywords in my country NZ, now I'm seeing good results in Australia for these keywords and our USA domain is not far behind and making good progress... However, our NZ results show that we may get around 1 conversion every 3 days from our organic search. I read other places that click share for ppc was much higher, but there is no way we can match our competitors budgets from 3k - 300k per month. So our option was to focus on SEO. To me, the SEO results seem quiet low, however I'm not really sure how to go about diving deep into the analytics of it all to find out where I need to improve or focus on, which keywords are bringing these conversions. Maybe I need to go for long tail keywords etc... It seems my rankings are coming from general keywords which are still highly competitive, but even so, we are not performing to what I know we should be. Our competitors are mostly paying ppc, however I was told my ROI would be better spent via SEO. Any suggestions perhaps what I might be missing or doing wrong in this case. Question about conversion rate in ppc
Hi guys, Im managing the campaigns in the company that im working and so far i think that the results are o.k more or less. The problem is how can i really know if it is o.k ?

I really don’t have any data to compare to… For example, this is campaign from the insurance niche from the uk : Clicks – 132
Impr – 6,958
CTR- 1.90%
Conversion – 20 (Not inducing the one that calls the office)
Conversion rate – 16%
Total cost – 704£ How can i know by these number that the campaign is working ? Same here (T-shirts campaign for the Spanish market): Clicks – 1,219
Impr – 26,177
CTR- 4.66%
Conversion – 56
Conversion rate – 4.5%
Total cost – 493€ Probably you will say, check how much you spend and how much you got back ?
This is also a problem for me. I can see the numbers of the conversion but because we are not eCommerce so i cant really know the total income. Do you know if there’s is a way that each for quote that coming to our system
so i will know where it came from ? Like a comment in the url or something ? I think that 90% of our income/quotes comes from the organic as we are ranking very high in Google so its a bit mixed in the system. Any feedback or tips here on this will be very welcome…0 -

Adwords conversion data is contradicting
I am looking at my Adwords data from a segment of last year. It shows my total for all ad groups in this campaign at 18. I only have one ad and it shows 7 conversions. Where are the other 11 coming from?

Tracking Adwords Conversions for eCommerce ROI
I'm working with a rather large eCommerce customer who needs to be able to track their Adwords conversions for the purpose of determining the ROI of their Adwords campaigns. I've installed code from Google Adwords Conversions on their eCommerce page, but it doesn't seem to be calculating values correctly. Also, where would setting goals in Analytics come in to play if I'm trying to track the conversions of specific Adwords conversions?
