Is this cloaking or some dangerous blackhat SEO tactic?

Hey wonderful SEO guys, I need your advice. Would the following be considered cloaking, or a black hat SEO tactic.
I performed the following search for Guess tops on Google: "Guess women's tops." Please see the attached image (Guess 1) of the description tag that comes up with this search. This not the primary page description tag, but when you visit the women's tops tag, that description is not visible on the page. In fact it is placed in the meta name section (see Guess meta-name description image). The information appears as a description on a SERPS depending on the keyword search performed, but the text is just not visible on the tops page.
Can this be considered a form of cloaking? If not, is this a dangerous blackhat SEO tactic, or actually nothing to be worried about? We are thinking of doing something similar with some of lengthy homepage introductions-making them invisible, but still appearing on SERPS, as long as it relates to content that is clearly on the website, or what the website is about.
Please advise. Thanks.

R.E. Original question - Nothing funny here looks like a standard Meta description.
Note: It used to be standard that Google pulled only ever the Meta description but now if they consider it more relevant they'll (Google) will pull any page content that's relevant to the search query, no matter if it appears at the top, middle or bottom of a a page - you really can't dictate this since you can't possibly predict all possible search queries which will result in visitors to your site.
I'd stick to writing strong Meta & page titles & descriptions providing high quality content and letting Google handle what it pulls! You may want to look into the Schema.org markup to see what you can dictate.

I have never seen that happen in terms of Google showing that in the SERPs. You can hide data in the back using JSON and stuff but I have never seen Google put text as the description if it's not visible in the body...at least from my experience

Thanks for your response Hutch42. I know what meta descriptions are, their purpose and how they can best be used to enhance click-through-rates. Something changed on the Guess site since yesterday when we were analyzing it, so my initial post is now proving irrelevant.
Here is another question: Apart from a page's official description tag, Google will usually pull text from a particular page and use it as part of a description on a SERPS depending on the keywords used in search. The text it pulls from that page may not necessarily be that page's official description tag. Is there way (or would you advise), to add let's say a 200-word article about a business on a page in an invisible manner, while still having Google display any part of that article in a SERPS if any search includes keywords that have been used in that article? So basically, the text is in the back end (not visible on the page), maybe in the html code, but Google can still pick it up and add it's content as an unofficial description in a SERPs if a search contains one of more keywords included in the article?

The function of the meta description is to provide a snippet for the search engine to display, it is not a form of masking, that site is using the meta description for its intended purpose.

What's your proudest accomplishment in regards to SEO?
After many years in the industry, you come to realize a few things. One of of the biggest pain points for us at web daytona was being able to give clients a quick keyword ranking cost estimation. After multiple trial and error and relying on API data from one of the most reliable SEO softwares in our industry, we were able to develop an SEO tool that allows us to quickly and accurately get the estimated cost for a given keyword (s) using multiple variables. More pages on website better for SEO?
Hi all, Is creating more pages better for SEO? Of course the pages being valuable content. Is this because you want the user to spend as much time as possible on your site. A lot of my competitors websites seem to have more pages than mine and their domain authorities are higher, for example the services we provide are all on one page and for my competitors each services as its own page. Best practices or tools for an SEO audit?
I would like to have an SEO audit of my site, and I'm looking for something beyond the basics. Prices for an audit seem to vary between free (for DIY tools) to over $3,000. That seems like an awfully big spread. What are the best practices I should be looking for or best tools to be looking at for a comprehensive SEO audit?

Local Area SEO - Directions Page and Multiple Use of Direction pages
Hello, We are looking to focus on multiple local areas and it has been suggested one way to mention lots of different locations on pages without doing lists or using grey SEO practices is to create directions pages. We are trying this with a client who has 2 business at the same address. The layout is:- Introduction - 2-3 sentences Directions by Car Park Parking info Directions by Public Transports Closing - 3-4 sentences - using clients keywords The hope is the having locations/areas and the clients keywords on the same page will capture some of the local areas with the clients keywords. I have some questions:- 1. If we use the same directions text and just change the opening and closing paragraphs on the different website will this be enough to not have a duplicate content issue. 2. Are the directions pages the best way to capture keywords and local area/locations on the same page. 3. Is there anything I am missing or could do instead? Looking forward to everyone's input....

Does building multiple websites hurt you seo wise? Good or bad strategy?
HI,rategy. So I spoke to a local Colorado seo company and they suggested to find whatever keywords is the most searched under my GWT's and put .com behind it and build other sites for other keywords. I was curious about this type of strategy. Does this work? This seo guy said I could just get a DBA bank account and such for each domain name etc. I am not wanting to mislead anyone, but I am curious if for the sake of promoting other services, if creating other websites with partial and EMD's are worthwhile? Another issue I worry about is if I put my companies phone number, then next thing you know there is 3 or 4 sites that use that same phone number. To me this does not build trust with Google. But being I am learning, maybe this is a common strategy, or doomed from the start. Just curious what you think. Would you build other sites to try and rank for other services? Or keep one sites and maximize it? Thank you for your thoughts. I just do not want to pay $3000 per site if it will hurt not help.

If I mention a client in a blogpost about SEO, do I have to use a rel= no follow link?
I do SEO and webstuff (obviously, that's why I'm here). I want to write a blog post congratulating my client for getting to #1 in the local listings for a search for "plumber". When I include my link to my client's site, should it be rel=no follow? Could they be penalized if I don't? Thanks,
