Bing SEM Traffic showing up as Organic in Moz?
-
Hi there, Everyone!
First time poster.
One of my clients has an ads string showing up in organic search? It is: s=bing_search&p=none . If I block it in the robots text, then I won't see any traffic results.
-
Hmm I don't handle the PPC portion, but that is probably what it is.

Hi Scott,
Have you made sure that your Bing PPC traffic is using UTM tags, otherwise it will be indeed seen as traffic that is coming from the organic results of Bing.

Search traffic steady, Landing pages receiving traffic had massive drop
Following the week of Google's major algorithm update in January, we saw this graph in our Moz dashboard. (green bars are # of landing pages receiving traffic from search, blue line is traffic from search) Traffic from SEO grew slightly, but number of landing pages receiving traffic fell by more than 50%. We didn't make any changes to sitemap, rel=canonical, number of pages being published, etc. Traffic from top keywords held consistent. Number of pages/images google crawled and indexed grew per webmaster tools. Big spike in Nov/Dec is because we are in retail, seasonal not technical issues. Is anyone else experience the same thing? An algo change? Or something more specific to our site? Quality traffic is what we care about, so number of pages traffic is going to could be a positive thing (easier to optimize). But jury is out. Bing Search volume 0 is this good or bad?
So this might be a stupid question, but that whole no such thing as a stupid questions applies here. I am trying to narrow down keywords for title tags and on page optimization. I am focusing on my local, instate SEO only. So no nationwide searches, just local. When I add in my state, so Colorado then keyword It shows 0 matches. When I add Keyword then Colorado a few matches But there is a difficulty rating of 30% or so. Would this mean that it would be good to go after this? or bad because no one searches for my term? Then when I add my keyword, and no state, 6000 matches. But would this mean everyone and there brother is going after it? So unless you are a big brand, stay away? Thank you for your help. I am just trying to make sure I am using it right. Chris

A tool to tell a websites estimated traffic
I am new to Moz (as a member), so I am not sure if Moz has a tool that I need. I don't want this post to be about self promotion, so I will keep it short. Our business helps increase conversions and sales for online businesses. Our ideal prospects belongs to some key categories of businesses like ecommerce, saas etc. However, I would like to know the estimated volume of traffic for a website before approaching them and introducing our service. So if there was a tool I could use to estimate the volume of visitors a specific website receives on average a day or month, it would be hugely beneficial.Obviously, these are prospective clients, so we do not have access to their system or their analytics. I just want to get an estimate. So for example, if I entered the domain abc.com into the system, I would hope it could tell me, that abc.com gets an average of 900 unique visitors a day. I don't need too much detail like geographic locations etc, but it would be a bonus having that additional information. I also don't mind paying for a tool that's quality. So it doesn't have to be free.

Site Explorer shows links as followable but they have nofollow tags
Hello, I am looking at site explorer and sites linking to my site moneyfact.co.uk. I've got thousands of links showing as 'followable' but when i check them they have rel="nofollow" tags. e.g: http://www.dianomioffers.co.uk/partner/moneyfacts.co.uk/brochures.epl?partner=93&partner_id=93&partner_variant_id=33 Why would they show as followable when the links are nofollowed? Thanks Steve

Joined yesterday, today crawl errors (incorrectly) shows as zero...
Hi. We set up our SEOMoz account yesterday, and the initial crawl showed up a number of errors and warnings which we were in the process of looking at and resolving. I log into SEOMoz today and it's showing 0 errors, Pages Crawled: 0 | Limit: 10,000 Last Crawl Completed: Nov. 27th, 2012 Next Crawl Starts: Dec. 4th, 2012errors, warnings and notices show as 0, and the issues found yesterday show only in the change indicators. There's no way of getting to the results seen yesterday other than waiting a week?We were hoping to continue working through the found issues!

Links from External Sites not Showing on OpenSite or Google Webmaster Tools
Hi, I asked this in another post, but didn't get a solid answer. For several websites I manage, I have access to their Google Webmaster Tools. When I put the site through there, or the link:// or SEOMoz's OpenSite link reporter, I get not even a fraction of the links that I know are pointing to the websites in question. Some of these links are from home pages or side columns, and some are from articles keep within a website, like at Inc.com. I wondered if the links in question were not themselves being indexed, but if I do a very specific search, I can pull them up in the search results. Is it just common knowledge that these link tools are not accurate? And to assume that somehow, search engines really do see all of the inbound links, even if our reporting tools don't. Thanks in advance!
