On Page Grader inconsistent
-
Why does the on page grader not update it's grades based on the other factors, other then the title tag. i.e. I can have the keyword 'burger' in H1 tags, the URL, ALT attributes, in the body text a couple times and in the meta section of the site and receive an F grade from the on page grader, but as soon as I add the word 'burger' to the title I receive an A grade. Is there a reason why the only factor that has that influence is the title tag, and why is it that a keyword for a page cant get say a B or C grade if it has the other factors covered (i.e. they have a tick next to them) but not the title tag?
Cheers Again

Hi Again
Most of the other things are ticked and all good, but my question is why is it that that title tag holds that much weight that everything can be ticked in some cases excluding 2 things and the keyword not mentioned in the title tag and still receive an F grade then as soon as I use the keyword phrase in the title tag it goes from an F to an A instantly. Why is it that there seems to be no consideration for B, C, D and E given that some of the phrases have everything else checked off basically.
Thanks again

Unfortunately, Moz's On Page Grader guide (https://mza.bundledseo.com/help/guides/research-tools/on-page-grader) doesn't discuss the contributing factors in much detail. But if you go into your Moz Analytics and click on the landing page in question in the On Page Grader, it shows you where you're lacking on all their contributing factors. Broad Keyword Use in Page Title is of "critical importance" which isn't too far from reality. But hopefully if you can get all of the other contributing factors sorted, you can at least get your grade increased from an F even if it will never be an A due to the page title.
How many ticks do you have in total? Are all bases covered but the title?

Why can I see 404 pages in Google Analytics but nothing in the On-Demand Crawl?
Hello, I'm looking at some Google Analytics data for a website and can see a few 'Page not found's among the Page Titles, looking like these are 404 errors. To get a full list of what's 404-ing so I can get these redirected, the Moz on-demand crawl of the website has come back with no major errors and just a few metadata ones. Does anyone know any potential reasons why the audit has drawn a blank, and is there another way to get a comprehensive list of 404s, as I'm aware the Google Analytics data may not be covering all of them. Thanks very much Becky

Keyword Count Incorrect In On Page Grader
Hi, I have found that on one site I am working on seems to have issues when i run it through the on page grader. The problem is that it is saying I am showing the main keyword 24 times in the body, but actually it is 12 times. Could there be a problem on the website that is showing something I cant see, or is this a known issue. Thanks

Why does the moz crawl test lists page twice?
Hi, I'm running into an issue where some crawlers list my pages twice, once with a trailing slash, once without. I first saw it on a few pages with screaming frog, then saw it happen on all my pages with the moz crawler. The site is www.kidsandart.org and its on Squarespace. I grepped the sitemap.xml I submitted to google webmaster and got 167 distinct pages, all of them without a trailing slash. Any insights on why this is happening, and how to regard moz crawler results would be appreciated. thanks Tom

Getting 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible' error msg when trying to run On-Page Grader
I just signed up for MOZ Pro for the first time today. Tried to run the 'on-page grader' tool on some of my pages but I'm getting a 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible' error msg. I have verified against the robot.txt file that the pages are NOT blocking any crawlers. Can anybody help?

MozBar "Page Load Time" result -140... seconds
Hello all, I have gone through a lot of work to optimize the page size and load time for my site (http://goo.gl/0SYrns) Here is the result: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140618_6V_PDZ/ And my competitor (http://goo.gl/j7YBcn😞 http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140618_TN_PGP/ According to that tool (and many others) my site is considerably faster than his. However, when I check in the MozBar, the result for mu site is less than 0, around 1 second but his is -1403106240.403 seconds. So how do I get to such a result? I did everything, optimization, cds, etc...

Can't get on page grader to work properly.
Hi I'm trying to optimize my pages with the on page grader tool but it keeps returning an F grade when I know my page is very well optimized. It is like something is blocking the page crawl but I have double checked my robots.txt and can't think of anything else that is causing a problem. I am trying to do www.hydrohobby.co.uk with the keyword hydroponics for starters but it is the same problem with all other page urls on my site and keywords I try to input. This is a new site made with cscart 4.0. I've graded pages on previous versions of this software with no problems. Can anyone help? Rob

When Moz provides an on-page grade report card, what tells Moz which keyword to grade for?
I just started working with the on-page grader and of couse am particularly interested in fixing my pages with not so stellar grades. Can someone tell me how SEO Moz decides what keyword to grade a page for? I receive a report each week that tells me how many pages I have with A's, B's etc. But what tells Moz to grade a page for a particular keyword? Is it the first keyword listed in the meta description?
