Htaccess redirect, from /year/month to /blog
-
I am trying to make some redirects so we don't lose that SEO juice.
I am trying to move our blog structure from:
http://www.domain.com/2015/09/title-of-blogto:
http://www.domain.com/blog/title-of-blogI need to do redirects in htaccess from the old structure to the new structure but I can't seem to get it working properly. Here is what I have thus far.
<code>RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^(.0-9)\/^(.0-9)\$ $1/ [R=301,L]</code>
Any suggestions?

This is the right answer minus a few excess characters.
If the blog structure is domain.com/2015/09/title-of-blog then the correct code would be as follows:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^[0-9]+/[0-9]+/(.*)$ blog/$1 [R=301,L]This will result in: domain.com/blog/title-of-blog.
In other words, Peter you had it right but you just had a few extra characters (you assumed the specific day was also included in the URL structure). Yours would work perfectly if the URL structure was domain.com/2015/09/02/title-of-blog
Also, if anyone ever wants to test your rewrite rules this is a great tool. http://htaccess.mwl.be/.

Correct code should be:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^[0-9]+/[0-9]+/[0-9]+/(.*)$ blog/$1 [R=301,L]

Is this blog running on the Genesis Framework?
Hi all, WordPress isn't my area of specialty in terms of themes and identifying what a blog might currently be using. Here's the link: http://www.pens.com/blog I've had one developer tell me this blog is on the Genesis framework and another one told me it is not. Can someone weigh in here and also give me some tips on how to know one way or the other? If it is not on the Genesis Framework, can you provide any helpful links/tutorials on how to get this blog onto the Genesis Framework? We want to be able to use Yoast SEO and apparently our current theme will not allow us to do so. Thanks in advance! Dana

Help! A couple of basic questions on dup. content, pagination and tumblr blogs.
Hi, and many thanks in advance for any assistance. According to our GWMT we currently have over a thousand duplicated title tags and meta descriptions. These stem from tabs that we have located beneath the body copy, which when you click on them display offers or itineraries (we're a travel company). So the URLs change to having "?st=Offer" or "?st=Itinerary" at the end, and are considered to be duplicating the original page's title and meta des. Sometimes the original page is also paginated, and shows the same duplication errors. What would be the best way to ensure we're not duplicating anything? Also, we have a tumblr blog, where there's single page displaying all the blog content, but also links to each blog on a separate individual page. We would like to keep the individual pages as we can optimise to target specific keywords, but want to avoid any duplication issues again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Broken Links/Images Non Optimized Content Help
Hello, After 4 years of incorrect blog creation and 4000 blog posts I have seen the light. I have implemented a new theme, SEO friendly, based on a yoast website report and have been creating timeless blogs with correct structure. However, I have 5400 broken links and images based on the Broken Link Checker. Additionally, of our 2500 blog posts which are on app reviews, only 500 are optimized so I have been painstakingly been going through each to optimize, while balancing new content output. The trouble is Google is seeing massive changes and we are tumbling in search. Any suggestions on how to approach this as it is my understanding that the broken links/images are doing considerable damage to our website overall. the website is crazymikesapps.com thank you Mike

N/A For On-page SEO Report
I have 8 errors and 44 warnings last week. Over the week, I corrected broken links, duplicate titles, meta tags, and duplicate page content. Now after it was run again, I'm getting an N/A. Does N/A mean there are NO errors at all on the site? I didn't fix all of the errors and warnings but most I did. My website is also up and running. Please let me know if I'm missing something or if I did that good of a job for my client's on-page SEO stuff, which I doubt despite moving the needle forward. Thanks

Do anchor links pointing to bottom/top of page count as link?
As the title says: Do anchor links pointing to bottom/top of page count as link? This page: http://www.betxpert.com/forum/bookmakere/vis/ladbrokes-kommentar I has over 300 links, but I don't see that many links. Is it the "#15" and the top/bottom of page anchors that count? Is this harmful in terms of link juice? -Rasmus
