What happened to my links in Open Site Explorer.
-
Hello,
A while ago I had a problem with open site explorer saying that I had a problems with redirects on my home page. There was 302 redirect and it was giving me information from my www domain rather then from non www domain. With your awesome help, this issue is sorted now and when I type in my non www domain, it doesn't give me that weird message anymore.
I have a different issue now.
For some reason when I enter non www domain it doesn't show links from www version.
I presume that this is affecting my site authority for non www version. Does it mean that link juice was not passed on to non www version from www version? Authority dropped by two points, but I'm not sure why.
I'm more interested to know why it doesn't show my links from www version on non www version. And is that affecting my sites rankings.
Thank you,
Regards,
Armands

I have tried to ask here few times, but it is pretty hard to get any guidance on navigation issue. If you could send me some information maybe on what you charge per hour on skype consults? I totally lost in what to do with my menu navigations as I think they are a bit hot mess now. Side bar, main bar, dropdowns etc.
Thanks,
A

If just for advice - ask it here, on MOZ.

Sorry me again.
By any chance do you know someone very good in WP field to consult about website navigation options for desktops and mobile devices?
Thanks,

Sure, no problem.

Thank you very much Dmitrii for help. Thanks for pointing out redirects.
I will pass this onto my developer.

Ok, I see now.
No, you don't have to go back to www-version. What is happening to you is just a crawl delay. It takes a while for MOZbot to "realize" the redirect, especially if you have https.
Basically, just wait. It will be showing properly eventually.
P.S. I noticed you have extra redirect if i go to www.a-fotography.co.uk - it redirects to non-www first, then does another redirect to https. You can easily eliminate this in htaccess. Kinda best practice.
-
Thanks Dmitrii,
I used to have this message, but thought this is a bad thing and was suggested to redirect www version to non www version. My current site is non www version.
so it is a-fotografy.co.uk
Do you think I should revert this back to www version? Why would I need to do this? Bit confused.
Thanks,
A

Hi there.
Ok, so, what is supposed to be happening is after you type in your non-www version, it should give you message like this (see attachment):
You entered the URL http://regexseo.com/ which redirects to http://www.regexseo.com/. Because it's likely to have more accurate metrics, we're showing data for the redirected URL instead. Click here to analyze http://regexseo.com/ instead?
If this is not happening, make sure that your non-www version 301 redirects to www. If it does, but you have made this change recently, then you just gotta wait to allow mozbot to crawl this redirect.
As for DA drop, it can be relative. Make sure that whenever you look at DA changes, you look at competition as well. Read this post by Rand: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/community/q/da-pa-fluctuations-how-to-interpret-apply-understand-these-ml-based-scores
Hope this helps.

Unsolved Why am I not seeing search.yahoo.com in my site's backlink profile?
When looking at the backlinks for a client's competitor I found that they had a backlink on search.yahoo.com/reviews and our domain (harmonyhit.com) did not. I was using the Link Explorer tool. However, when I go to yahoo Search I see that the website of harmonyhit.com is indexed in Yahoo search and has links to the site. Also, it's sitemap has been recently crawled in Bing webmaster tools which Yahoo uses. Why does our client have the backlink accounted for and we do not?

Link Explorer Export
Does anyone know how to export more than 50 keywords at a time from Link Explorer? I'm trying to extract the keywords from a competitor domain to do some analysis/big data queries. I'm using the link Explorer but I can't see any way to export more than 50 keywords at a time! The total I can export seems to be around 100k but it's going to take a very long time if I've got to do 50 at a ago!

How can I get links indexed in Just Discovered Links, or Open site Explorer? (Because it aint Bit.ly or Feedly!)
Dear Moz & Forum, I've been on a bit of a merry-go-round with one of my clients. He knows enough about SEO to ask questions, and one thing he likes is to see the links that we are building inside Open Site Explorer. Now, of course we know that it takes a while for links to show, but that was ok, because we could just plug the links that we've built into a bit.ly link and then they'd show under Just Discovered Links in Open Site Explorer, and then boom, we're happy. It stopped working some time ago, and after the support team were a little unstuck I sent a hopeful tweet to @randfish. Here is the response: https://twitter.com/randfish/status/788412272129347584 The advice to use Bit.Ly was removed swiftly after this! Oops! The current Guidance is here: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/help/guides/research-tools/open-site-explorer/justdiscovered It says: Want to see your new link in the Just-Discovered Links tab? An easy way to start seeing your link in the Just-Discovered section is to have it shared on Twitter and available on Feedly link. Feedly stopped supporting their own link shortner a few years ago. Also, when you share a link from Feedly on twitter it is just the same as sharing a normal tweet, because it shares the standard URL for the site not a link to view on Feedly. Or, maybe these two statements are independant of one another and they should both be done separately? I've done that too! I've also added the feed to recommended feeds inside fresh web explorer and that didn't work either! So, Moz and Help team please help me! How can I get links I've built for clients into Just Discovered Links? Thank you!

Why do my spammy backlinks still appear on my Open Site Explorer page after removal?
I used the organic spam backlink removal tactic of emailing owners of sites of spam rank 7 or higher on my page. It has been weeks since many of the harmful links were removed, yet they remain listed on my Open site Explorer page. My fear is that somehow simply getting these links removed doesn't exempt me from the potential to be penalized by Google crawlers. Does it take longer than a few weeks for these links to disappear from the Open Site Explorer, or is there something else I need to be doing? Any and all advice appreciated. Ben

Open Site Explorer is finding old html Files that havn't been on my site in two years... even after a 301 Redirect. HELP!
Hello!
Link Explorer | | morganlindsaycole
My problem started when I became aware that when I checked my backlinks for the past two years, it states that no backlinks have been found. When I ran a site analysis on SEMrush - No backlinks are found on the URL, or Domain. There are 7 Backlinks on the Root Domain and those were configured in 2012. I made a second domain www.columbusweddingphotographersreviews.comwhere I linked to my domain at www.morganlindsayphotography.com so I could test that google had crawled both websites and after, still no backlink was found. I have also been published on a dozen or so wedding websites that has linked to my website where they are follow links and still nothing. (http://www.brendasweddingblog.com/blogs/2015/2/23/an-elegant-fall-wedding-in-ohio-with-morgan-lindsay-photography) **Website Background- **
In 2012 I had two separate websites - One for Seniors that was an HTML website I build in Dreamweaver at www.morganlindsayphotography/seniors and another for Wedding Clients found at www.morganlindsayphotography.com/Wedding - (wordpress) I had a Splash page wish was found atwww.morganlindsayphotography.com. Two years ago when I became aware splash pages were frowned upon in Google, I combined the two websites and stayed with the Wordpress which was www.morganlindsayphotography.com/Wedding
Because I did not want users to have to go to www.morganlindsayphotography.com/Wedding to view my url, Godaddy moved my wordpress site from thewww.morganlindsyphotography.com/Wedding directory towww.morganlindsayphotography.com When I ran the Open Site Explorer with Moz I found after runningwww.morganlindsayphotography.com the TOP pages on this domain according to Page Authority are old HTML files from my senior website, as well as old Posts from when my wordpress site was found atwww.moragnlindsayphotography.com/Weddings
No current pots or pages are showing up besideswww.morganlindsyphotography.com I do run a cache management system to speed up my system and recently cleaned out my .htcacess folder and still had no luck. This is difficulty something **Last night I made a 301 Redirect in my htaccess for all the old links pointing to the new links as best as I could. My htacess folder looks like this.. BEGIN WordPress <ifmodule mod_rewrite.c="">RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
