Duplicate Listings on Google Maps
-
About 3 weeks ago google created a duplicate listing for our law firm on google maps.
In building links I have tried very hard to ensure that our address and company name was always listed identically.
Our correct firm name and address is
Feldman Feldman & Associates, PC 2221 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 201
inevitably somehow the new listing stated Camino Del Rio S, Ste 201
All of our reviews moved over to this new profile, I claimed it, changed it to make it the same reported it to Google. Google merged them.
Now Google has created another profile this time the firm name and address matches ours exactly (South and Suite both spelled out), but all of the reviews have moved over except for the most recent one(s).
I have claimed it again and reported it to google, changed the address. Google then created another listing.
Our page rank for keywords has been hurt by this. any idea why this keeps happening suggestions?
Here are the two pages. This is our original listing
http://maps.google.com/maps/place?hl=en&cid=468564492130231259
This is the new one google self created that stole all our reviews, but is ranked very poorly for the keyword searches.

Your two listings:
Feldman Feldman & Associates PC
12 reviews<a></a> 2221 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 201 San Diego, CA 92108-3609(619) 299-9600Other: Feldman Feldman & Associates PC 2 reviews<a></a>2221 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 201San Diego, CA 92108(619) 299-9600immigrateme.com
The only difference I see is the zip code "92108-3609"Not looking good. The best suggestion I have is try again. Click on the more link on the profile page, report a problem, and select "Place has another listing." then include a link to both profiles. Luckily your reviews will probably not "get lost" as they are not on Google's site, otherwise you might lose those. The only other reason, beyond the conflicting zip code, could be that there is another account that had claimed it prior. Word of caution, don't move too quickly or too anxiously with Google places. They scare easy.If you want to read the long answer:
http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/why-google-local-listings-merge-and-how-to-unmerge-listings.htmlAdditional thoughts -
It looks like both listings were edited about 11 hours ago.(edit log: Changed 11 hours ago - Phone| Added: | 619-299-9600 |
)And on May 3rd two different moderators made changeshttp://maps.google.com/maps/user?uid=217460202084778845705and http://maps.google.com/maps/user?uid=216814767163749414179I would suggest that you leave the one which you have to access alone and work to merge the one you don't have access to. Don't submit tickets for both at the same time.

What should I do if same content ranked twice or more on Google?
I have a Bangla SEO related blog where I have written article like "Domain Selection" "SEO Tools" "MOZ" etc. All the article has been written in Bengali language. I have used wp tag for every post. I have submit xml site map generated by Yoast SEO. However I kept "no index" for category. I know well duplicate content is a major problem for SEO. After publishing my content Google ranked them on 1st page. But my fear is that most of the content twice or more. The keywords are ranked by post, wp post tag and Archive. Now I have a fear of penalty. Please check the screenshot and please suggest me what to do. uRCHf yq7m2 rSLKFLG

Duplicate Content That Isn't Duplicated
In Moz, I am receiving multiple messages saying that there is duplicate page content on my website. For example, these pages are being highlighted as duplicated: https://www.ohpopsi.com/photo-wallpaper/made-to-measure/pop-art-graffiti/farm-with-barn-and-animals-wall-mural-3824 and https://www.ohpopsi.com/photo-wallpaper/made-to-measure/animals-wildlife/little-elephants-garden-seamless-pattern-wall-mural-3614. As you can see, both pages are different products, therefore I can't apply a 301 redirect or canonical tag. What do you suggest?

Homepage disappeared from Google
Hello, Since 2 weeks, our website is losing positions in Google. After years on the first page, we dropped for our main keyword to the 3rd page. Seems that all the positions we lost, were ranking with the homepage. Now, we are on the 3rd page but with a less important page. How is it possible that only the homepage disappeared? Is there any explanation for that? I hope there is an explanation, so we can fix the trouble. Kind regards, Tine

Problem with Google finding our website
We have an issue with Google finding our website: (URL removed) When we google "(keyword removed)" in google.com.au, our website doesn't come up anywhere. This is despite inserting the suitable title tag and onsite copy for SEO. We found this strange, and thought we'd investigate further. We decided to just google the website URL in google.com.au, to see if it was being properly found. Our site appeared at the top but with this description: A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more. We also can see that the incorrect title tag is appearing. From this, we assumed that there must be an issue with the robot.txt file. We decided to put a new robot.txt file up: (URL removed) This hasn't solved the problem though and we still have the same issue. If someone could get to the bottom of this for us, we would be most appreciative. We are thinking that there may possibly be another robot.txt file that we can't find that is causing issues, or something else we're not sure of! We want to get to the bottom of it so that the site can be appropriately found. Any help here would be most appreciated!

Google and PDF indexing
It was recently brought to my attention that one of the PDFs on our site wasn't showing up when looking for a particular phrase within the document. The user was trying to search only within our site. Once I removed the site restriction - I noticed that there was another site using the exact same PDF. It appears Google is indexing that PDF but not ours. The name, title, and content are the same. Is there any way to get around this? I find it interesting as we use GSA and within GSA it shows up for the phrase. I have to imagine Google is saying that it already has the PDF and therefore is ignoring our PDF. Any tricks to get around this? BTW - both sites rightfully should have the PDF. One is a client site and they are allowed to host the PDFs created for them. However, I'd like Mathematica to also be listed. Query: no site restriction (notice: Teach for america comes up #1 and Mathematica is not listed). https://www.google.com/search?as_q=&as_epq=HSAC_final_rpt_9_2013.pdf&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&lr=&cr=&as_qdr=all&as_sitesearch=&as_occt=any&safe=images&tbs=&as_filetype=pdf&as_rights=&gws_rd=ssl#q=HSAC_final_rpt_9_2013.pdf+"Teach+charlotte"+filetype:pdf&as_qdr=all&filter=0 Query: site restriction (notice that it doesn't find the phrase and redirects to any of the words) https://www.google.com/search?as_q=&as_epq=HSAC_final_rpt_9_2013.pdf&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&lr=&cr=&as_qdr=all&as_sitesearch=&as_occt=any&safe=images&tbs=&as_filetype=pdf&as_rights=&gws_rd=ssl#as_qdr=all&q="Teach+charlotte"+site:www.mathematica-mpr.com+filetype:pdf

How do you find synonyms for a word in Google?
Hi, How would you go about finding a connection between words in the eyes of Google? So for example if I enter ~shoes -shoes I get a few things turn up in bold. Boots is one which makes sense and I would assume Google makes a connection between the words so using both in content would help semantically. BUT the other word it bolds is Store - this is where I get lost why would it make this connection unless Google is taking actual query data from users and making a different type of connection between words. How do you find a solid connection between words?

Why does Google Claimed Local Listing Ranking Drop?
I have two local google places listinggs unlaimed. Both listings were ranking in the blended search in 7 pack. Once I claimed the local listings for the business both listings rankings have dropped. And one has totally vanished from the search rankings. Is this normal as it appears local places that are not claimed are ranking higher than local places claimed?
