Duplicate page found with MOZ crawl test?
-
When I crawl my website www.radiantguard.com, the crawl test comes back with what appears to be a duplicate of my home page:
http://www.radiantguard.com and http://www.radiantguard.com/
Does the crawler indeed see two different pages and therefore, are my search engine rankings potentially affected, AND
is this because of how my rel canonical is set up?

Thanks Ryan and Chiaryn! All looks good then! So happy

Hey Rhonda,
I took a look at your crawl test and I don't see that we are reporting any duplicate pages for http://www.radiantguard.com or http://www.radiantguard.com/. We are actually reporting that http://www.radiantguard.com/ is the canonical tag of http://www.radiantguard.com and we would never report a page as a duplicate of the canonical tag. We do consider these two pages as separate pages, as many sites do also treat them differently, so we try to encompass the most sites with the way we report on pages with trailing slashes.
You may still want to consider Ryan's advice regarding how to deal with these two pages, however, I just wanted to clarify that we are not reporting any duplicates on either pages. Here is a screenshot of the CSV that shows that these pages have no reported duplicates: http://www.screencast.com/t/5FHTfyQe
I hope that helps to clear things up a bit, but please do let me know if you have more questions about the crawl report.

Hi Rhonda. Google has a nice article on this very subject here: https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2010/04/to-slash-or-not-to-slash.html The main point is that it's a best practice to choose one or the other format for your locations. From the article:
You can do a quick check on your site to see if the URLs:
http://<your-domain-here>/<some-directory-here>/
(with trailing slash)
http://<your-domain-here>/ <some-directory-here>(no trailing slash)
don’t both return a 200 response code, but that one version redirects to the other.</some-directory-here></your-domain-here></some-directory-here></your-domain-here>If only one version can be returned (i.e., the other redirects to it), that’s great! This behavior is beneficial because it reduces duplicate content. In the particular case of redirects to trailing slash URLs, our search results will likely show the version of the URL with the 200 response code (most often the trailing slash URL) -- regardless of whether the redirect was a 301 or 302.
A 301 redirect is best as it should be the permanent structure of your site moving forward. Cheers!

Duplicate Content & Title Tag Group Fields on MoZ Report
Hello, On my SEO MOZ exported Site Crawl CSV report, I have columns for Duplicate Content Group & for Duplicate Title Tag Group. The values in the columns are numerical - 20, 5 , 15, etc. Can anyone explain to me what these values represent and how I can fix the issues I presume they represent? Thank you,

Https address has different result that http in Page Optimization Score toll in Moz PRO
The following url
Moz Bar | | TrueluxGroup
https://www.whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs has (100 score for keyword 'GU10 LED')
has different on page opmisation score results to
http://www.whichledlight.com/t/gu10-led-bulbs (73 score for keyword 'GU10 LED') Anyone know if we've set something up wrong?
Also, is this even something to worry about, does google treat them differently? We're using the Page Optimisation Tool in Moz Pro ** UPDATE ** It's worth mentioning we are using emberjs, so the website is a single page application.
We use prerender to render the pages for google.0 -
GA snippets for subdomains and best tracking in MOZ
Hey there, I have a blog running at blog.URL.com. I need to add Google Analytics and I want to track the value of this subdomain as separate from the main URL. Can I do that? If I do a unique snippet in the header of the blog is that the right way to go? The main site is on an antiquated CMS system and will be converted over the next few months to a full on WP site, does that change anything long-term? Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers, Lisa

Cannot crawl website with redirect intalled on subdomain url
Hi! I want to crawl this website : http://www.car-moderne.ch. I tried a got back the crawl just for that one url (not for all the pages of the website). This single line cvs says that the status of the http://www.car-moderne.ch is 200, but in fact it is a redirect 301 to http://www.car-moderne.ch/fr where the live home page is (actually the Moz bar sees the 301, not the 200 as the single-lined crawl does). How can I proceed in this case (a 301 redirect being installed on the subdomain url) to still be able to have a full-fledged juicy cvs with all the broken links, duplicate content, etc. Thank you for your help! Moz Bar Not Showing DA?
Hello all, This could be something to do with our site or the Moz bar on Chrome, I just need to know which it is so if it is our website we can look into it further. On certain sections of our website the Moz bar doesn't display any Domain Authority, not even zero, the bar just isn't present. These types of pages are php which pull in data through a feed daily. Speaking to an SEO expert they said it could be where the page is being updated so frequently, or it could be something more sinister and technically not quite right. Does anyone have any ideas? Is the Moz bar just not working for these types os pages or is it more likely something to do with my site? Ironically it's these pages which I'm having trouble with that are not showing in SERPs! Thanks! 3Foorka

Moz Crawl Test Tool - SEO Web Crawler showing up with no details
So basically I have ran the Moz Crawl Test tool twice for this url "bubblingwithenergy.info" and both times the report has listed 1 URL when there is obviously a lot more if you check the site. My question is, why is the Moz Crawl only reporting 1 URL when there are heaps? Is there a possibility it is being blocked and if so what would be blocking it? This website is using a CMS called Infusion and it is based off CMSMS (CMS Made Simple). Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
