Recommend platform for fashion/bridal store
-
We currently use Bigcommerce, can anyone recommend a good platform for a bridal fashion store.
We use a lot of pictures and banners. Also looking for a platform that allows for good SEO
We are looking for an updated look particularly with a responsive format for mobile phones and ipads.

If it was two months earlier, I’d recommend you Bigcommerce. But since they’ve jacked up the prices like nuts lately (and people responded to that -- they’re leaving the platform), Shopify is a non-brainer. It easy to use and has absolutely astonishing, esthetically enjoyable and responsive themes, which is especially important for for a fashion store.
Alternatively, if you’re on a tight budget, you could use WooCommerce too. It’s a bit more complex to set it up properly, but being an open source cart on WordPress, it’s extremely customizable and lightweight. If you have at least basic technical skills, you won’t get disappointed.

Here is top 10 popular e-commerce platforms in 2015. In my opinion, if you have financial resource and technical knowledge, Magento is the best choice for your business with powerful features. Magento brings your business modular architecture, complete scalability and a wide range of options. You can choose Magento Community, Magento Enterprise or Magento go.
On the other hand, you want to use a shopping cart that is simple, cheap, easy but beautiful, I suggest WooCommerce (WordPress).
If you are worried about how to change your data from old BigCommerce site to new site, business can try automated shopping cart migration tool. For example:

I agree with Robert, if you're going to be selling products on your site then you should look at Shopify. Depending on what your budget is, though, you may want to go with a custom website design and use something like Magento.

Hi Li Chu,
Yes there are several platforms that work beautifully for what you are looking for. My personal favourite is Shopify (Link below):
It is a Canadian platform so it may be less well-known than other options, but it comes with excellent support services as well.
I've used this for several bridal fashion clients (and other e-commerce niches) in the Toronto, Canada area and it is a great platform. Very easy to use, gives you a lot of flexibility, and integrates with WordPress without a hitch. This makes it terrific for SEO and also allows you to integrate Google Analytics for better metrics monitoring.
I'd strongly suggest it based on your criteria.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else,
Rob

Ignore SEO and traffic/calls dropped
I got caught up in a disaster of a website that consumed 3/4 of a year, all the while our SEO was put on the backburner with only occasional "massaging" to keep it going. Now our traffic has dropped almost 25% along with our incoming calls. Our rankings have remained steadily good- medium but definitely not bad during this period. My question: Who else has had this experience and how long did it take to rebound? TY

Aggregator/comparitor site outranking us
Hi I would like to know if anyone has experience with trying to outrank an aggregator/comparitor website. We are being beat by one that also includes our range of products in their comparisons and I was wondering if there was a smart way around this?

SERP Hijacking/Content Theft/ 302 Redirect?
Sorry for the second post, thought this should have it's own. Here is the problem I am facing amongst many others. Let's take the search term "Air Jordan Release Dates 2017" and place it into Google Search. Here is a link:
On-Page Optimization | | SneakerFiles
https://www.google.com/#q=air+jordan+release+dates+2017 Towards the bottom of the page, you will see a website that has SneakerFiles (my website) in the title. The exact title is: Air Jordan Release Dates 2016, 2017 | SneakerFiles - Osce Now, this is my content, but not my website. For some reason, Google thinks this is my site. If you click on the link in search, it automatically redirects you to another page (maybe 302 redirect), but in the cache you can see it's mine:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:qrVEUDE1t48J:www.osce.gob.pe/take_p_firm.asp%3F+&cd=8&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us I have blocked the websites IP, disallowed my style.css to be used so it just shows a links without the style, still nothing. I have submitted multiple google spam reports as well as feedback from search. At times, my page will return to the search but it gets replaced by this website. I even filed a DMCA with Google, they declined it. I reached out to their Host and Domain register multiple times, never got a response. The sad part about this, it's happening for other keywords, for example if you search "KD 9 Colorways", the first result is for my website but on another domain name (my website does rank 3rd for a different Tag page). The page I worked hard on keeping up to date. I did notice this bit of javascript from the cloaked/hacked/serp hijacking website: I disabled iFrames...(think this helps) so not sure how they are doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: I am using Wordpress if that means anything.0 -
Best SEO Extension/Plugin for NOPCommerce Site?
Hi I am working for a client who is using NOPCommerce. It doesn't look like they have a SEO Plugin in - although you can add meta descriptions to Products - which works fine, the Product categories have SEO components too but do not seem to work and all 'other' content /CMS pages have no SEO components whatsoever. Does anyone know of a plugin which would resolve this? (PS never used NOPCommerce before!)

My report is showing duplicate titles.. for http://www.mysite.com/ & http://mysite.com
Is this because I setup my campaign wrong in seo moz or should I have my site setup differently to forward all traffic without the www to the www version? Or vise versa? Thanks for any advice!

Customer Review Capture / Google Approved Review Sites
We are interested in showing customer reviews on our website (in UK for seo purposes- UGC) and are initially reluctant to use a 'What customer say' or Testimonial page as we think customers may think we have just made these reviews up? I wanted to ask what methods you folks use to capture reviews? If you use 3rd party providers do you have any recommendations? (I found this link but it seems a little outdated as it doesn't include for example eKomi:http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-rank-well-in-google-products-search-a-big-list-of-places-to-get-reviews) Thanks in advance.
