Don’t adjust your monitors, or think this is an elaborate April Fool’s joke, we are actually releasing our April Index Update EARLY! We had planned to release our April Index Update on the 6th, but processing went incredibly smoothly and left us the ability to get it up today.
Let’s dig into the details of the April Index Release:

Yup - for this first time, I think ever, one of my clients DA jumped up about 10 points to a number that's more in line of where I thought it should be, based on industry standards. At the same time, the two closest competitors dropped by 5-10 points each, which was very relieving. It was relieving because I had been monitoring their own content and links for the past few years, and much of their links have been spam or purchased links. I had been waiting for their drop for awhile, and now there's vindication!
So for the first time in awhile, I'm very impressed with this update, and from my narrow perspective, the new index seems to be right on the money.

I Received a nice lift in DA as well. So did many of my clients. Only 2 or 3 clients went down. These were newer websites with very little content.

Our DA jumped 5 points from 57 to 62. Happiness.

First Mozscape index of the year is live
I'm happy to announce, the first index of the year is out. We did have a smaller count of subdomains, but correlations are generally up and coverage of what's in Google looks better, too. We're giving that one a high five! We've (hopefully) removed a lot of foreign and spam subdomains, which you might see reflected in your spam links section. (another woot!) Oct 14 2015 MOZScape update: none of DA are changed?
Hello, everybody. Today I noticed that finally the latest release of mozscape update has been posted. Now, I noticed that NONE of 25 campaigns websites NOR any of their competitors DA has changed. I do understand that DA can stay the same, but 25+25*3=100 websites domain authorities hasn't changed at all since August 4th (the date of previous mozscape release)? Or is this happening only to me? Please advise.

In lue of the canceled Moz Index update
Hey Moz, Overall we love your product and are using it daily to help us grow, part of that has been to rely on the Moz Index for DA and PA as well as places where we are doing positive linking through genuine partnerships and reviews of clients. We were really excited to see any the results for this month as we have been partner linked from lots of high reputation sites and google seems to agree as our rankings are moving up weekly. The question from our marketing team is, since a significant part of Moz will not be available to us this month, will there be any compensation handed out to the paying community. PS: I am an engineer and I know how you have probably lost a very large set of data which cant simply be re-crawled over night but Moz Pro is not a cheap product and we do expect it to work. Lost many links and keyword ranks since moz index update
Hi All, I came back from work today from a week off to find my site has gone from 681 external inbound links to 202. With this my domain authority, moz trust and moz rank have all also taken a slip. Compounding this, I am seeing a slip most of my keywords rankings. If i try to use the open site explorer to explore my links and see what going on i get the message It looks like we haven't discovered link data for this site or URL. If i check the just discovered links like it suggests I get It looks like there's no Just-Discovered Links data for this URL yet. I know these features worked before the index as i used them. Is this all attributable to the moz index issues that have been noted or could something have happened to my site? Since i started 2 months ago I have made many changes including... Updating the site map that was 4 years out of date and included 400 broken urls Removed blank pages and other useless webpages on the site that contained no content (from the previous administrator) Edited a few pages content from keyword spammy stuff to nicely written and relevant content Fixed url rewrites that made loops and un-accessible product pages All these changes should be for the better but the latest readings have me a little worried. Domain Authority Decreased on May 5 Update
Why the Domain Authority of my website decreased? Last month my website www.i-phony.com domain authority was 32/100. but today I see the result is only 23/100 . What was the reason behind this big decrease !! Your answer is highly appreciated and very valuable for me. Best regards

Suggestion - Should OSE include "citation links" within its index?
This is really a suggestion (and debate to see if people agree with me), with regard to including "citation links" within Moz tools, by default, as just another type of link NOTE: when I am talking about "citation links" I am talking about a link that is not wrapped in a link tag and is therefore non clickable, eg moz.com Obviously Moz have released the mentions tool, which is great, and also FWE which is also great. However, it would seem to me that they are missing a trick in that "citation links" don't feature in the main link index at all. We know that Google as a minimum uses them as an indicator to crawl a page ( http://ignitevisibility.com/google-confirms-url-citations-can-help-pages-get-indexed/ ), and also that they don't pass page rank - HOWEVER, you would assume that google does use then as part of their alogrithm in some manner as they do nofollow links. It would seem to me that a "Citation Link" could (possibly) be deemed more important than a no follow link in Googles alogrithm, as a "no follow" link is a clear indication by the site owner that they don't fully trust the link, but a citation link would neither indicate trust or non trust. So - my request is to get "citation links" into the main link index (and the Just Discovered index for that matter). Would others agree??
