DA/PA has reverted to 1?

Hi,
Looking for some advise. I have a local business website that was built and managed by a web developer. The site was/is very basic and really was only there as a place for potential customers to visit after finding out about us via more traditional local marketing.
I decided to make the website work for us more and improve the SEO etc to get it ranking better and finding us customers rather than us sending customers to the website.
Long story short I wanted to change from an HTML site to a wordpress site to enable me more control over updates/blogging etc. Web developer said he only works with HTML, so I decided to go it alone. As things stand the website hasn't been changed and still remains hosted by the developer but on the 12th of February he transferred the domain to me.
Now I'm not sure exactly what my DA was in February but it was at least double figures but now it is 1. As I said only thing that has changed as far as I'm aware is the transfer of the domain to me.
I'm at the point were I'm close to doing the transfer over to wordpress. Been working on keywords, content etc to make things better but then noticed my issue. Anybody have any ideas why this would have happened? Or the process I can go through to find the route of the problem before I continue with the change over?

Hello!
Small sites generally won't stay in our index if we don't find NEW links to a domain. Our cache will remove a link after 190 days unless re-crawled.
I recommend checking Just Discovered to see if your domain is in queue for re-indexing from new discovered links. If not, you will want to keep link building on sites that have high authority and are likely able to be picked up..

Could you be looking at the wrong (www vs non) version of the site?
Did the dev block robots.txt from all bots (or Mozbot) before transfer?
Are you still cached & indexed in Google?
There's also an ongoing issue with some sites as seen here.

If nothing has changed other than the domain transfer, so your site is still the same on the same server with the same structure and no other changes have occured such as a sudden loss of links then there is a good chance this could be down to the Moz index update itself. You mentioned your DA was higher in February, however since then there has been updates, you can check more here for updates - https://mza.seotoolninja.com/products/api/updates. I have seen others have a similar issue in the past noticing a sudden drop in DA since an update and this is due to the Moz index reducing the amount of URLs in it - it is currently at 139 billion whereas it was at 141 billion on March 2nd and 145 billion at the end of January. If the index is using less links this can lead to it using less links to calculate your domain authority and big drops can be seen in some cases.
In terms of your migration to Wordpress make sure that you 301 redirect the old html URLs to their new location/URL on WordPress.

Hey all, We have a new in-house built too for building content. The problem is it inserts a letter directly after the domain automatically. The content we build with these pages aren't all related, so we could end up with a bunch of urls like this: domain.com/s/some-calculator

Nofollow/Noindex Category Listing Pages with Filters
Our e-commerce site currently has thousands of duplicate pages indexed because category listing pages with all the different filters selected are indexed. So, for example, you would see indexed: example.com/boots example.com/boots/black example.com/boots/black-size-small etc. There is a logic in place that when more than one filter is selected all the links on the page are nofollowed, but Googlebot is still getting to them, and the variations are being indexed. At this point I'd like to add 'noindex' or canonical tags to the filtered versions of the category pages, but many of these filtered pages are driving traffic. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I just wanted to get opinion on some of the fundamentals and semantics of optimisation and content generation/distribution - your thoughts and opinions are welcome. OK, for example, lets assume (for illustration purposes) that I have a site - www.examplegolfer.com aimed at golfers with golf related content. The keywords I would like to optimise for are: golf balls golf tees lowering your golf handicap drive a golf ball further Now, I'm going to be creating informative, useful content (infographics, articles, how to guides, video demonstrations etc) centred around these topics/keywords, which hopefully our audience/prospects will find useful and bookmark, share and monition our site/brand on the web, increasing (over time) our position of these terms/keywords in the SERP's. Now, once I've researched and created my content piece, where should I place it? Let's assume it's an infographic - should this be hosted on an infographic sharing site (such as Visually) or on my site, or both? If it's hosted or embedded on my site, should this be in a blog or on the page I'm optimising for (and I've generated my keyword around)? For example, if my infographic is around golf balls, should this be embedded on the page www.examplegolfer.com/golf-balls (the page I'm trying to optimise) and if so, and it's also placed elsewhere around the internet (i.e on Visually for example), this could technically be seen as duplicated content as the infographic is on my site and on Visually (for example)? How does everyone else share/distribute/host their created content in various locations whilst avoiding the duplicated content issue? Or have I missed something? Also, how important is it to include my keyword (golf balls) in the pieces' title or anchor text? Or indeed within the piece itself? One final question - should the content by authoured/shared as the brand/company or an individual (spokesperson if you like) on behalf of the company (i.e. John Smith)? I'm all for creating great, interesting, useful content for my audience, however I want to ensure we're getting the most out of it as researching influencers, researching the piece and creating it and distributing it isn't a quick or easy job (as we all know!). What is the best practice to seperate different locations and languages in an URL? At the moment the URL is www.abc.com/ch/de. Is there a better way to structure the URL from an SEO perspective?
I am looking for a solution for using a new URL structure without using www.abc.com**/ch/de** in the URL to deliver the right languages in specific countries where more than one language are spoken commonly. I am looking forward to your ideas!

PageRank from 5 to N/A
Hi there, I do SEO for .. and it's a great site with all very valuable (and unique) information and resources. It was previously a PageRank 5 but recently (in the past week) it has gone to PR N/A across the entire website. The website is still being indexed in Google and our rankings are still the same. And although I'm aware PageRank means very little these days, I'm a little concerned this may be the start for a decrease in rankings due to something being wrong on the website. Have other people seen this? Would love some input in case you see something that I'm not or what may be causing the issue. Thank you for you time.

Language/country redirect best practice?
Hi, What is SEO best practice when it comes to redirecting users from www.domain.com to their specific language/country, let's say www.domain.com/de for Germany? From what I heard in on of the whiteboard fridays, it seems to be Javascript based on IP and browser language, and then set a cookie - correct? Or should we let our users manually select their language/country at the first visit? Any suggestion appreciated, thanks!
