Anyone have experience using Quuu Promote
-
Hi All,
Do any of you have thoughts on this new content amplification platform? I saw it come through the App Sumo feed. I'm mainly wondering if anyone has any experience regarding link building with this service.
Edited: Aug 25.
After watching the video on how to use the Q&A (https://mza.bundledseo.com/help/guides/qa-overview/asking-question-qa) I thought I would make clear that I don't work for Quuuu. I work for a non-profit magazine publisher. I'm simply curious. Seeing that there have been no responses makes me think that perhaps I should pass on this platform.
Thanks!

Hi!
I don't recommend them at all.
I found Quuu Promote the beginning of this year and I opted-in so they charged my credit card $49 every single month. Then I realized after that if you don't use your credit, they will take it away after 60 days.
So what I did is promote a number of our blog posts but then they were REJECTING them. The sent one email and because they use an automated platform, Gmail puts them in Spam and you don't even realize it.
So in short, they took my credits anyway regardless if they see I tried to redeem it. Also, their platform is very bad, they don't tell you where the credits were used or had been taken away. See the attached screenshot.
I canceled the service but they still had my CC on file so they kept charging it and 10 months later, i saw I had a $400 charge from them. OH GEEZ!
Also, the results were not amazing. One of my posts went through a while back before I opted in on a monthly service.
In my own experience

Thank you CleverPhD. This is the kind of answer I expected and it's exactly what I needed.

Several ways to go about this. Here is my take.
Buying links - "For only $50 you can get 10,000 links on sites with a PR of 3 or more". People were setting up junk sites and generating a lot of low quality links. It worked for a while, but then Google figured it out and penalized folks for it. Now the reverse has happened, people are having to pay to get links removed or for someone to help them with a disavow, also people have used negative link techniques to build bad links to competitors to hurt them (this has happened to one of my sites).
Buying followers - Similar on twitter, pay to get followers! People setup fake accounts and then sell them so that people can say they have a big number of followers.
Buying likes and shares - I have no idea who Quuu is. No idea who these people are that they use to promote/share something. For the sake of conversation, let's assume that every single person who shares content for Quuuu is legit and that I can pay to have 30,000 shares - will they buy from me? are they really relevant to my niche? On the Quuu website they list that they have followers categorized by topic, but again, unless you are a large company with a wide appeal 99% of the people that they reach will not be relevant IMHO. Why else do you get a reach of 10k people for $10? You are going to only touch a very small percentage of that 10k who will be interested and buy from you. You can probably curate those people just as easily through your standard social media work etc.
For all the examples above, relevancy is just flushed down the toilet. Sure I have 10,000 links or followers or shares - but if none of those people are interested in buying my product, I have gained nothing but a failed ranking strategy or exposure to people who do not care about my company and my product.

Is google plus really useful?
Hi guys first of all i am really thankful for such an opportunity to test such a wonderful app and i didnt know there is a Q&A community here 🙂 i was actually searching on google about google plus and end up here but the thread i bumped into is a bit outdated anyway a little background on what i am doing. Our company have a 15 local branches, its a service that we provide on our local clients. I am totally new to SEO like 6 months and i am really learning a lot and i am now learning on how to build my own backlinks and my 1st struggle is on google+ actually i am dismayed that its too confusing (at first) but somehow i manage to understand but still unsure please correct me. So google+ has 2 type 1 is for personal and 1 is for brand am i correct? So since we have 15 local branches what i did is create a personal page and make it as our business page and then claimed all the 15 branches on google maps and all is verified now. You think im correct on creating a personal page and make it as our main business page? I asked because i want to create brands page on each branch or do I even need brand pages for my branches? Was thinking of this custom URLS for our main page (which is our personal page) +OurBusiness for the branch brand page +OurBusinessCity you think it would be cool? 🙂 then on about sections (brand page) where i can add links on tag line description i will put the dedicate branch page of our website www.ourbusiness.com/city, then on that website page i will also put our google plus brand page +OurBusinessCity so its a 2 way link. Please bare with me as i am fairly new to this and i am not really sure if my ideas are stupid so please dont laugh 🙂 By the way my another question is about the ABOUT ME section of google+ personal page, when i add link on the description its a nofollow, i know cause i have this extension on my browser that detects do/nofollow links but on the link section its a dofollow. On the other hand google+ brand page has no links section so if you have a link and want to include it on your google+ brand page easy way to do it is put it on description and i just found out its a do follow HOWEVER it seems like the links on both pages (personal, brand) are not seen by search engines i tried it on several google search simulator and also checked the source code of the pages and i cant seem to find the links so my question is, is google really that useful when it comes to backlink building? Another question is that when i build brand pages i have to use our brand name and so all the branches have the same brand names includes our personal page so all of those 16 pages have the same name, will it be ok? Another question is that is there anyway that i can edit its meta description? 🙂 please i am really new to google so bare with me. Thank you so much in advance and hope to hear from the gurus 😉

Should I use FB Share or FB like option?
I am confused between choosing Facebook share and Facebook like options on my website. Like is a one step process but it won't be visible in friend's feed whereas share is 2 step process but is visible in your friend's feed and it reaches more people. Did anyone experiment with these two options and found which works better?

Google+ What account to use for business?
Ok, we have been pretty dismissive of Google+ but having read more and more about how it is now directly influencing search results (currently in the USA) we are going to suggest setting up accounts for business. The question is, which Google Account should be used for the business page? In the nice presentational video on Google+ the example business is a nice local bike shop, which is simple right? Just use the small business owners account. But what about larger clients? Who in the org should have the business page on their account? What if that individual leaves? Can the page be separated from that account? Should you use maybe a Google Apps for Business account? But the issue with that is you will obviously have no one in any circles to share that page with. It all seems to be too closely tied to the personal side of Google+ Any help would be great. Thanks.

How long until Social Spam achieves the same notoriety/problem as Link Spam used to be
What are people's thoughts on whether or not social spam will become a major problem soon, just like forum profile/blog comment spam, etc, and what do you think the search engines will do about companies that are blatantly gaming the social signals game I.E. since social proof seems to be google's answer to combating anchor text manipulation and content farms, what do you think will be google's answer to combating the rampant social spam that will surely overtake us.

Facebook Comments | Massive Overall Increase in Rankings! Anybody else experience this?
Last week I implemented Facebook Comments and Addthis to my site. Rankings went up for nearly all my keywords. I have people from Africa, Europe and USA asking questions. Every time someone comments, it is shared on their Facebook Wall. I want to know if anybody has experienced this besides me? Here's my site if you want to see it in action.

Anyone know if optimal Twitter use frequency for promoting a keyword i.e how much is too much
Have a Twitter account and theres much confusion over Twitters use of planting keywords into posts and have some SEO benefit from this. Wondering if anyone has come accross an effective use of promoting keyterms on by twitter posting and how often is deemed okay? Generally see some twitter users who are obvioulsy promoting keyterms for their buisness or company who put in as much as five to ten posts in any one day for the same keyword, or keyphrase. while this looks spammy surely this is liable to be flagged by the search engines? Appreciate any insights on this.
