Is OSE making any difference when crawling the web between http or https links?

Will OSE show all links that point to my website regardless of them being http or https?

Thanks for the question! Unfortunately OSE will not show any https links/data because our robot isn't able to crawl secured sites. Sorry!

What's the best way to eliminate "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors?

My company website is built on WordPress. It receives very few crawl errors, but it do regularly receive a few (typically 1-2 per crawl) "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors through Moz. Based on my research, my understand is that my server is essentially telling Moz to cool it with the requests. That means it could be doing the same for search engines' bots and even visitors, right? This creates two questions for me, which I would greatly appreciate your help with: Are "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors harmful for my SEO? I imagine the answer is "yes" because Moz flags them as high priority issues in my crawl report. What can I do to eliminate "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors? Any insight you can offer is greatly appreciated! Thanks,

Why is OSE showing no data for this URL?

Hi all, Does anyone have any ideas as to why OSE might not have any data for this URL: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/shure-slx24-sm58-wireless-microphone-system-j3 It is not a new page at all. How can i extract back link report in OSE of HTTPS domain?

Hello, Recently i was reviewing backlinks of one of the HTTPS domain and was socked to see the difference of backlinks in Majestic SEO and OSE tool. I tried a lot to find the option to explore the backlink of HTTPS domain but i think OSE is not providing that. Can anyone suggest the tool or method to find link report of HTTPS domains? Why does the CSV report on OSE limit the number of links I can download to less than it should?

I run an inbound link report for the domain www.acornstairlifts.co.uk on OpenSiteExplorer.org using the following filters: Show: All Links from: only external Pages to: pages on this root domain Show links: ungrouped It says that there are around 30,678 links for that query. I then go to the advanced tab, and run a report using the same filters, but when I click download report I only get 2874. I've run this for the past 2 days and I get the same. Why?

Link not showing up in OSE

I created a profile in April this year on CrunchBase for my company http://www.crunchbase.com/company/wallpapered but it is not appearing in the "inbound links" of Open Site Explorer. All the other companies I have checked in OSE have their CrunchBase profile in their inbound links (many share the same Page authority as mine). Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks

Any SEO moz users notice a HUGE change in OSE (Open Site Explorer) link data numbers?

Hi All, I am having some serious concern with OSE data recently for numerous clients, one client I want to talk about today has the following data from OSE for the month of August 2011 compared with July 2011: Total links to the domain: (decrease of around 100,000+)
External Followed links: (decrease by around 5,000)
**Linking Root domains: (decrease of over 60) ** The crazy thing is that the domain authority has actually gone up by around 5 points for this client even though every thing has suddenly gone down? Also funny thing is we have been link building quite strong for this client over the last 12 months using only high quality sources from out niche. I am worried that their is serious issues with the data, I realise we saw some updates to OSE recently yet I am suprised it can be this drastic. Kind Regards. PSV
