On-Page Grader URL inaccessible when copy/pasted but not when edited
-
Hi!,
I've looked through multiple topics on this but none quite seem to fit what's going on - hopefully someone can help!
I get the error message 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible.' when I copy and paste a url from my site into the search e.g. http://www.orbussoftware.com/enterprise-architecture/
However if I edit this to https the search completes fine.
Since we redesigned our site approx 6 months ago, we've found most of our rankings have completely dropped off, and now I'm getting this error I'm wondering if it has something to do with how our site is structured? If I'm getting this error with Moz does that mean Google could be having issues too? Or is it all just a strange quirk?
Thanks!

Hi Kristina,
Thanks for the reply! I think that helps (in the sense I now know how messy our site structure is...). As I think any more conversation will get very site specific, I'll continue this with moz help

Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here.
I had a chance to peek at the URL that you've provided (http://www.orbussoftware.com/enterprise-architecture/) and it appears that this URL currently has a 302 redirect in place and is redirecting to this URL: http://www.orbussoftware.com:80/us/enterprise-architecture/.
When you pull this URL up in a browser, it's directing fine, but your site is treating our tool differently when we attempt to access it.
Another thing I noticed, too, is that you also have a https:// version of your site and when we plug the URL https://www.orbussoftware.com/enterprise-architecture/ not only does that resolve OK in a browser, but it works with the On-Page Grader as well. So, you have two different versions of your site that are configured differently when handling requests from us.
I'd recommend reaching out to your web developer to see if there's anything they can do to help out with the above.
I hope this helps but feel free to reach out to our team directly at [email protected] if you find out there's anything further we can assist with - and sorry for the inconvenience!

HI thanks for the reply.
I don't think I was clear, that URL works fine, its the on-page grader that doesn't recognise it and requires me to edit it to https before it recognises it as accessible. So, I'm copy-pasting the url when I'm on our enterprise architecture page directly into the onpage grader, and that's when I get the error.

I'm having no trouble accessing the site via the link you provided. Might be a caching issue on your browser.
Try removing all browsing data and trying again.

Moz keyword mention on-page counting errors
Hi. Moz is showing 18 mentions of the keyword 'street furniture' on this landing page https://www.broxap.com/street-furniture.html But I can only count 6 in total in the body copy and 13 if you include navigation links. This is the same on other pages too for that keyword. Does anyone know where it's counting these extra keywords from? I don't want to fall foul of keyword stuffing but as far as I can see we're not! Could Moz be miscalculating? Any help appreciated! Thanks Joe

Why do i get multiple variations of my url with ?order=asc and ?view=list at the end of it in my crawl report?
I just did a crawl for one my clients to validate any error in the structure. Next thing I know is that the website have multiple variation of the same url with query like ?order=asc and ?view=list at the end of it. I am wondering why these url variations appears in the crawl I just did since bots aren't suppose to go further thant the ? normally. Just to show you a couple of url's of my crawl test. <colgroup><col width="484"></colgroup>

On Page Grader inconsistent
Why does the on page grader not update it's grades based on the other factors, other then the title tag. i.e. I can have the keyword 'burger' in H1 tags, the URL, ALT attributes, in the body text a couple times and in the meta section of the site and receive an F grade from the on page grader, but as soon as I add the word 'burger' to the title I receive an A grade. Is there a reason why the only factor that has that influence is the title tag, and why is it that a keyword for a page cant get say a B or C grade if it has the other factors covered (i.e. they have a tick next to them) but not the title tag? Cheers Again

Cannot crawl website with redirect intalled on subdomain url
Hi! I want to crawl this website : http://www.car-moderne.ch. I tried a got back the crawl just for that one url (not for all the pages of the website). This single line cvs says that the status of the http://www.car-moderne.ch is 200, but in fact it is a redirect 301 to http://www.car-moderne.ch/fr where the live home page is (actually the Moz bar sees the 301, not the 200 as the single-lined crawl does). How can I proceed in this case (a 301 redirect being installed on the subdomain url) to still be able to have a full-fledged juicy cvs with all the broken links, duplicate content, etc. Thank you for your help! Optimise your Pages in Moz Crawl - where do the keywords come from?
I am just going through my first Crawl stats from the MOZ analytics Under the pages to optimise section I have pages that I have optimised for my best keyword with an A grade that are showing as an F grade and suggesting a different keyword? Where is this keyword coming from? I am assuming that my page has been analysed and a better keyword has been recommended? Can anyone advise? Thanks Roger
