Keyword Quality Score is 8/10
-
Hi,
I have few keywords in my Adwords search campaign with quality score 8/10. When I checked everything is above average like 1>Ad relevance 2> Landing Page Experience 3> Expected click through rate.to
If everything is above average what to improve to get quality score 10/10??
I'm using most of the ad extension
Thanks

Hey Alick300,
Optimizing QS can be a bit of a hassle, but is definitely something that is solvable, and while Roman gave some good tips, I'm going to break down the scoring to hopefully help you get to the bottom of this issue.
While you said there were scores of 8 with all above average, I urge you to double check & screenshot if that is the case. Based on the way QS is calculated (see below), this cannot be the case.
QS calculations in AdWords are, as of the time of writing this, 1 + (Landing Page Experience Value) + (Ad Relevance Value) + (Expected CTR Value).
I have added a table below that breaks down the "Value" for each of these 3 facets.Landing Page Experience
- Above Average - 3.5
- Average - 1.75
- Below Average - 0
Ad Relevance
- Above Average - 2
- Average - 1
- Below Average - 0
Expected Click-Through-Rate
- Above Average - 3.5
- Average - 1.75
- Below Average - 0
So you can see that your score could be average on just CTR or Landing Page Experience and you would get an 8.25 (1+1.75+2+3.5 = 8.25). Google AdWords doesn't show decimals so you would see this value as a rounded 8 in the interface.
If you can re-check the QS values & paste that information here I'd be more than happy to help you further improve the QSs of those keywords!
Hope this helps!

In my opinion get 10/10 is not easy, 8/10 is a very good, based on my experience if you want a better rank you will need to work on A/B test and conversion rate optimization.
which include
- Make experiments with the texts
- Make experiments with the images and media
- Add some video
- Create one keyword Adgroup will increase even more your relevance
The A/B test process to improve your landing can take a month or even more depends on many factors
Other tools that can help you are some video recorder to track your user's behavior.
CrazyEgg for me is the best solution for heat maps but Hotjar offer a better all one solution (heatmaps and video tracking)

Google URL Builder / Campaign Tracking on two Different Domain using the Same Analytics Code
Hey Everyone, I think I know the answer to this but I'd like to get some confirmation. I currently have a landing page at "www.xyz.com", it's a separate domain in which only the landing page exists and not a vanity URL which redirects. However, the navigation and all the links on "www.xyz.com" actually link out to "www.abc.com". The domain / landing page "xyz" has the same analytics tracking code as domain "www.abc.com". My question is this, if I use Google URL builder to create custom URL's to track for each ad that I'm running in Adwords, will this data show up in the analytics of "abc" even though it's a separate domain because it has the same analytics code? In other words, does campaign data show only if the domain and the google analytics code line up, or does the domain not matter and as long as you have the same analytics code (despite two separate domains) that campaign data (built through Google URL builder) will show? My hunch and best guess it that as long as the analytics code is the same (regardless of a separate domain) that the data in campaign will show with the custom URL's I build. I'm aware that I can test this and I will but I'd like to get an idea from the community first to make things easier. Anybody have experience with this? Answers greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Google Analytics and WorldPay - Tracking Sales/Conversions
Hi there, I recently remember reading somewhere that tracking code could be used to monitor sales/conversions of eCommerce payments that went through WorldPay. I've been looking around the web for news stories, forums, discussions, but all seem to be from 2007 - 2011; was just wondering if anyone knew any up-to-date info they could point me towards? Thanks

Arabic Keyword Research
Hi All, Can anyone recommend good SEOs who specialise in Arabic? I've had my client's website translated into Arabic but the translation company do not specialise in local keyword research. They've translated literally I think (obviously not being an Arabic speaker, I can't confirm this). I need someone to review the translated site (only 4 pages so far), with a marketing head on, and ensure it includes the relevant local keywords used in UAE countries. Will also require deeper keyword research for a Google.ae PPC campaign and Ad copy written in Arabic. If I fail to find someone here in the moz community I'll head over to oDesk, where I'll find everyone and their mother-in-law proclaiming to be the worlds best Arabic SEO 😕

SIte wide links by google display / adsense
hey guys, I had a quick question about my back links that might be coming from adsense. I am trying to help my father our on his site and help him recover from penguin. unfortunately his company hired some shady SEOers to do "SEO". little did my dad know the BLs he were getting might be spammy, thats what I am checking now. When I ran a BL report on him ( i use two tools, SEO spyglass and OSE ) i found that there were many "sitewide" links, but i dont think there were placed there by the webmaster, i think they come from adsense. I know he has a PPC campaign where the daily spend is 3k/ day so I know its very possible that this might be the case. If my tool is picking up BLs from these sites ( which are niche related ) does google count these links for ranking purposes? and might this hurt my rankings if google just sees these as "sitewide links"

Curious about Adwords keyword tool results.
Why the Google Adwords Keywords tool says there are 0 local monthly searches for a keyword or shows a dash, but in spite of this there's competition for those keywords (up to 0.42 in some cases) ? Thanks!!

Best keyword traffic analysis tool for long tail search terms?
Please bare with me, this might turn into a bit of a waffle, but I'll get to my question... I promise! I've just been looking at our CPC traffic for April and 2 search terms jumped out at me. I recognised them from previous keyword research because they are search terms that I expected to be high traffic (from past experience), but Google Adwords keyword tools showed them to have no potential traffic, and next to no potential traffic (literally 0 local searches and 12 local searches per month). Last month search term A had 46 visits, with 19:25 average time on site and 8.70% bounce rate and search term B had 10 visits with 14:47 average time on site and 0% bounce rate. For very boring reasons we are not currently able to measure conversions on these terms since (they are related to consumer finance and when a customer applies for finance it is all done on our finance providers website) but despite the low volume, these are pretty good figures for on site behaviour and so it got me thinking... Is there a more accurate tool to estimate traffic volume that we should be using rather than the Adwords tools? I appreciate that the estimates are probably made based on historic search behaviour and April's traffic could just be a one off, but these particular terms used to be insanely popular 4-5 years ago when I worked at a competing company.
