For years, Google used to limit the length of snippet texts, are short text previews of the search results, to two rows. Over the last couple of days, Google eased up on this rule and will now also show longer snippets in the search results.
In some cases, Google shows longer snippets for search results if the pages provide simple answers to your query. Google previously tested a sidebar that allowed you to increase the size of the snippets and highlight extracted facts like dates and locations, but the tests probably showed that people didn't use the advanced options and that it's a better idea to automatically increase the length of a snippet if there's a high density of information related to your query.
Search Engine Roundtable suspects that "the longer your search query, the longer the snippet might get", but this is not always the case. Google tries to be smart and not overwhelm users with irrelevant information, that's why snippets are usually concise.
Some webmasters and SEOs may consider updating their meta descriptions, but I don’t believe Google would recommend doing so. The snippets are more often dynamically generated based on the user query and content found in both the meta description and the content visible on the page. If Google is going to go with a longer snippet, it likely will pull that content from the page.
IN SUMMARY
I think the update is focused on the user intent so if you ask Google some specific question such as a specific definition, well in that case the longer snippets make sense and will be generated base on the content of a website.IF THIS ANSWER WERE USEFUL MARK IT AS A GOOD ANSWER

If my products aren't showing in rich snippets, is there still value in adding product schema?
I'm adding category pages for an online auction site and trying to determine if its worth marking up the products listed on the page. All of the individual product pages have product schema, but I have never seen them show up in rich snippets likely due to the absence of the price element and the unique nature of the items. Is there still value in adding the product schema even if the items won't show in rich snippets? Also, is it possible the product schema will help optimize for commerce related keywords such as [artist name] + for sale?

Blacklisted website no longer blacklisted, but will not appear on Google's search engine.
We have a client who before us, had a website that was blacklisted by Google. After we created their new website, we submitted an appeal through Google's Webmaster Tools, and it was approved. One year later, they are still unable to rank for anything on Google. The keyword we are attempting to rank for on their home page is "Day in the Life Legal Videos" which shouldn't be too difficult to rank for after a year. But their website cannot be found. What else can we do to repair this previously blacklisted website after we're already been approved by Google? After doing a link audit, we found only one link with a spam score of 7, but I highly doubt that is what is causing this website to no longer appear on Google. Here is the website in question: https://www.verdictvideos.com/

Rich snippet star ratings appearing and disappearing
For nearly a year, our physician profile pages have been successfully displaying rich snippets in Google search results. Nothing has changed on those pages, but the stars recently vanished from Google. Example of a physician profile: http://www.realpatientratings.com/Lori-H-Saltz/ We added some new content pages in a different schema category, and those new pages actually do have rich snippets showing in Google search results. Example of a new product page: http://www.realpatientratings.com/breast-augmentation-reviews.html Furthermore, the Google Webmaster Tools Structured Data report has me convinced that the Physician profiles aren't coded correctly because it doesn't appear to recognize the Review or Aggregate Rating counts. But the official Structured Data Testing Tool says all is correct. My instinct is that the code isn't quite right on the physician profile... but I'm not a developer. I need help identifying the source of the real problem. sFMua7y AUKfkjp

Adding video snippet caused drop of star rating snippet in google SERP. Any solution to show both?
We are using on our product pages review schema markup which showed up well in google SERP. Now we added schema video markup as well and google shows in SERP now only the video snippet, but not the review snippet anymore. Any idea whether there may be a solution to show both video and review snippets?

How can I specify which image to show in SERPs from my Rich Snippet?
When I test my web page (which has Schema.org based content embedded within it) using the Google Rich Snippets Testing Tool, it displays the last image I have defined. I want it to show the first (primary) image. Is there a way I can specify which image to use, or should I only be specifying one image? Thanks.

Does many unique pages mean better SERP position?
My site has about 50 pages. All of them are unique 500-700 word articles. Almost every page is on its keyword at the 4-8 position in google/yahoo/bing. I can add a lot of relative unique pages on my site, about 100-200 word content per page. They all will be unique, with unique description and title. I can make about 1000+ pages. Would you suggest me to do this? Will this action boost my SERP position. Do more pages mean better SERP position?
