How to optimize Wordpress.org hosted blogs

I've got a blog I'm working on that isn't self-hosted. I've attached a screenshot of the message I get if I try to install any plugins. I really want to block archive, author, tag, category, etc pages but I can't seem to find a way since there's no server for me to block via robots.txt or .htaccess and I can't actually install these plugins which would give me the ability to do it.
Any suggestions?

As Red mentions, you're actually hosted on WordPress.com, not .org (which is the self-hosted version of WP)
To resolve the specific error you're asking about...
It's telling you that to be able to use the custom code features that are available, the settings for your domain name at your registrar should be pointing to the nameservers at WordPress.com, not the nameservers you're currently using (likely the registrar's own nameservers).

Hey there Shawn,
Your screenshot mentions WordPress.com, which is a lot different than WordPress.org. The one you're using, .com, is more of a service for folks who don't want to deal with technical setup, just want to have a few options and start blogging. The one you mentioned, .org, is more of a hands-on deal where you purchase web hosting (server space) and install it on that server. That is where you're able to use .htaccess, robots.txt, etc., etc. You are also able to use a lot more themes and plugins and get into true custom coding with .org. You can do some of this kind of customization on .com if you pay for a premium package, and there are such things as virtual robots.txt files which some of their plugins might be able to generate for you, but I do not think you ever get to adjust server files like .htaccess. So you might want to look into trying out WordPress.org instead. If you're really looking to customize the site and have granular control over anything SEO-related or even functionalitywise, .org is the way to go.

Homepage name in Breadcrumb for schema.org
Hi all, We have recently implemented the schema.org structure for our breadcrumbs. In our breadcrumb we include a link to the homepage. Since implementation I'm receiving the following error in Google Search Console: Either "name" or "item.name" should be specified The error is being triggered because we don't have itemprop="name" defined for the homepage on each page. Our breadcrumbs look good in search but I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this error and what can we do to fix it. Should itemprop="name" be our Brand name? I want host multiple websites in geo-specific locations, and also have them be unique from each other. Does anyone have suggestions of a software or another method to use for this? Any experience with http://multiplecloud.com?

Acquiring a blog
Hello All, I've recently acquired somebody else's blog and have redirected every post to the relevant page of my website (madegood.org). The content is the same as on the original site, and I have used 301 redirects. The original blog didn't have a particularly high page rank I'm slightly worried that there are now thousands of links coming from one domain, which itself doesn't have much authority. Is there a way that I can tell google that I've acquired the blog, as opposed to just having lots of links from one domain. Thanks Will

Redirecting old domain to new domain with wordpress
Hi all, I need to change domain name to a website published on wordpress. I'd think to make these steps: trasferring the website (files+db) to a new hosting space to redirect old site (www.oldsite.com) to the new one (www.newsite.com) using rewrite rules. With these steps I'd need to transfer and reinstall files and wordpress so I would like to discover if there's some less time expending procedure to consider. Thanks and ciao Bob

Blog article URL - with or without date?
Quick question to all you folks: does including the date in a blog article's permalink affect rankings? For example, here's an article with the month and year, as well as the blog title: http://www.ayzanyc.com/blog/2012/12/difference-between-hot-chocolate-hot-cocoa/ Is it better to omit the date and just put the blog title? Also, if is better to avoid using the date, is it worth it to change the link structure of our previous articles (given that the URL will now be different), or should we just focus on future articles? Should WordPress themes be hard coded for better SEO?
In the interests of making my site faster I have recently come across the suggestion of removing unwanted PHP from my WooThemes WordPress theme. The suggestion is to hard code the choices I have made in the WordPress template to reduce on database calls. Has anyone actually done this to their WordPress theme before and seen any measurable results?

WP Blog Errors
My WP blog is adding my email during the crawl, and I am getting 200+ errors for similar to the following; http://www.cisaz.com/blog/2010/10-reasons-why-microsofts-internet-explorer-dominance-is-ending/[email protected] "[email protected]" is added to Every post.
