DA dropped down to 17 from 32
-
Hi Team,
I have observed that DA of website https://www.sonicseats.com/ is dropped down to 17 from 32 after MOZ 2.0 DA Algorithm Update. Though I can see that there is linear improvement observed on Moz. Please help me know in detail about the drop and how can it be improved further as Moz does not give the option to disavow bad back links.
Thanks

As far as I know when something makes new update they change lots of things. That's not only you but many other people facing this same problem. But creating good content, fix on page and internal linking for a good result.

Hi Katherine,
Thanks for your response. Actually disavowing bad links in Google search console creates no impact on DA of a website as DA is taken care by Moz and Google Search Console is a Google's product. Moz has declared that disavowing bad links in Google Search Console has nothing to do with DA of your website. Moz does not provide a way to disavow bad links. For reference, Please check https://mza.bundledseo.com/community/q/if-we-put-the-disavow-links-in-google-does-moz-crawl-the-same-links

I have noticed a drop in my DA but it wasn't as dramatic as yours. Personally, I use Google's Disavow Tools to get rid of the spammy links. I've noticed that there are a lot of spammy links in my backlink profile (which I have a suspicion it is one of my competitors). So I now do a full backlink audit every month and submit to Google my disavow file. This has helped to reduce my spam score and one of the main reasons I think my DA didn't drop too much.

I too have the same problem for my website https://www.kartzhub.com

3 of my clients suddenly lost alexa and DA ranks.
3 of my clients suddenly lost alexa and DA ranks. Websites are active, created more than 10 years ago, and actively updated. About 5000 users each month. What could be the reason? I want to note that we never spam. We do only holistic SEO and write only Unique articles. This looks very strange to me. Any suggestions?

Sudden big drop in ranking - update, tech issue or penalty?
We are managing a website that was previously consistently ranking on P1 or top position on P2 and over the weekend (28th Jan) suddenly dropped to P5. What is the best way of ascertaining whether this was down to an update, a tech issue or a penalty? There are other pages on the site (sub-folders) which are still continuing to rank well on the site for similar kws. Regards,

Spam score is 7/17
My site has a spam score of 7/17 and I'm not really sure how this happened - I think maybe when I changed my domain from Wordpress to Bluehost? It's very hard to get my site to rank in Google and I'm getting very few hits through search engines, wondering if the spam score is why? How do I fix this? The flags are: Low MozTrust or MozRank Score

Domain and Page authority dropped on home page
My two strongest links did not show up in the latest Open Site Explorer run. Business.com and BOTW.com...Linking domains went from 21 to 15. Domain dropped 3 pts and Page authority dropped 3 pts I believe. Is there a function in SEOmoz.org that lets you track your domain scores over time? Thanks, Boo

Drop in Number of Crawled pages by SEOMOZ?
I noticed that the number of Crawled Pages on my website has been 2 pages only over past week. Before that the number of crawled pages was over 1000. My site has numerous pages as it is a Travel website that pulls search results for Flights, Cars, Hotels, Cruises and Vacation packages so there is a huge Database there. Can someone help? Thanks !

Is DA a reliable domain metric?
I use DA and PA every day for reporting, researching and most of the time it's a pretty good metric to compare domains and pages but recently I did an experiment and I was surprised when I saw the results. Two months ago I "link bombed" one of my old, unused websites with thousands of spammy blog comment links. Before the attack, its DA was 21 with a few hundred links. In August, after the recent OSE update I checked the website again and I was quite surprised to see DA 61 as a results of 8340 links. A DA value over 60 is considered pretty strong and it's interesting to see that spammy blog comment links could change it so significantly. Someone who doesn't know the history of the domain might get interested in advertising on such websites because the mozbar shows a high DA value. I know it's difficult to algorithmically differentiate between spammy and valuable blogs but a future OSE update could focus on this issue. Let me know what you think.

Have mozrank factors changed to cause drop?
Our site's mozrank recently dropped, but so did all our competitors. Have there been some updates to the factors to cause this change?
