The spam score is based on a lot of factors that MOZ's crawler takes into account. You can learn more about the how the spam score works here and see what's affecting your site.
Having a high spam score doesn't automatically mean the site is spammy, but its worth looking into what's happening.

Inherited site with high Spam Score backlinks
When building backlinks myself I have been conscious to avoid going over the 30 spam score as recommended on Moz somewhere. But one of the sites I have recently started working on: https://www.osborneplanning.uk/

has a number of very high spam score backlinks, 5 above 50. Some are follow some nofollow.
I am wondering if its a good idea to disavow them, or should I just leave them as they are, I have read some suggestions that Google will just ignore the majority of spammy backlinks, and its better just to keep them, I dont want to start deleting links if they don't cause any problems.0 -

Avoiding Getting Your Email Address Labeled as Spam
If you send out a lot of email outreach (manually not automated), are there ways to avoid getting labeled as spam and having your emails filtered to the spam box by the major email providers? (or are you pretty safe if you personalizing each email manually and getting a decent number of replies).

Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. Do Follow- Social Media sites
Does anyone have a list of do follow social media network sites. I am looking to list some of my customers on social media network sites, but having the bonus of do follow to pass link Juice is an extra bonus. Most of my customers have Twitter and Facebook profiles- but these happen to be no follows. I am looking for more social media sites that are do follow. I did see an article on this- on SEM MOz I believe but I cant find it. Any suggestions?

Backlinks from PR sites not showing in Open Site Explorer
Hi, Over the last year I have used a range of different PR sites to post news articles that link back to various pages on my site. However, barely any show up as link backs on Open Site Explorer, neither follow nor nofollow links. Can anyone explain why this is and whether or not the dofollow links count towards SEO if they are not picked up by OSE?

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?
So I ran http://www.riogrande.com/ into this site not that long ago and wanted to see if any other SEO's have an opinion on it. I've seen a Google bomb before, but the amount of links going into this URL is insane. The thing is how does one over come a Google Bomb? Do you just wait to see what Google does or do you just hope to rank under that URL? I should also note that it appears that all the keywords to it are relevant to the sites content. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
