GA profile when migration domains

I'm migrating a .co.uk domain to .com and am trying to decide if I should reuse the same Google Profile (if I can?) or create a new one.
If I choose to reuse the same profile so it has historical data, does anyone know if it's just a matter of keeping the same UA profile identifier in place on the page? Or do I have to change anything on the actual profile in GA as well to say "start pulling data from .com now"?

Thanks for the advice, I made the changes in Property and Profile and started seeing stats from the new domain through my old profile within an hour - sorted!

It does look the same, I just cropped out the rest.
You went one level deeper than I did. I suggested you change the URL at the Property level, but you could also do it at the Profile level. If you have multiple Profiles for each Property though, I suggest you do it at the Property level.

Thank you for the reply. My GA Admin screen doesn't look like yours, is it a case of just updating the URL in the field I've circled in red in my attachment?

You can change the domain and keep your historical data. In Google Analytics, when you are ready to make the change, go to Admin, then click on the appropriate Account, click on the appropriate Property, then click the Property Settings tab.
Rename the Property at this time, and change the Default URL to reflect your new domain LTD.

Hi There, I can't believe we are the first SEO Web Development company with the issue of dynamic IP addresses, for technical reasons our ISP keeps changing our IP addresses to different random IP addresses (no patterns, ranges, or reasoning to the specific changes) and we obviously need to exclude our own visits to google analytics - but I can't seem to find any simple way to do this in Google Analytics - can you help me find a simple solution for this? What is this GA URL I keep seeing?
According to google analytics, most of my traffic goes to two URLs: "/site/kempruge" and "/" now, I'm pretty sure both of these are taking people to my homepage, but I do not understand the "/site/kempruge' one at all. When I type www.kempruge.com/site/kemprure it 404's, so I'm not sure what URL it even is? Also, I'm wondering if this url is hurting my website in some way? GA E-Commerce can't tell the real order source?
I put the e-commerce tracking code on the transaction platform (Regnow) finishing page, but all the orders displayed in GA can't tell the real order source. Instead, most of orders are from direct(none), and referrals from my site. So this is obviously wrong. I need the accurate order source such as google organic or google ppc, then I can find which keyword brings me orders. After some searches, I guess the reason is cookie domain. My GA is set as single domain tracking. And I didn't put any cookie domain code on the Regnow's transaction finishing page. The codes I put on the page are: So, suppose my site is "www.example.com". How to make sure I can track the real order source on the Regnow's transaction finishing page? Should I set my GA to track multi top-level domains, and put _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', '']); code on the tracking page? How to set the domain name, "none" or "example.com"?? Thanks in advance.

Having issues with pivot tables in GA
For the past three days, I've been trying to use pivot tables on a couple of reports, most importantly I'm trying to use a pivot table on the All Pages report. I'd like to pull it for a year so I can see what our traffic sources are for top pages. I keep getting an error in Google Analytics that says, "Resource is Not Available. Please Try Again Later." See attached image. I've condensed my date range to a month, just in case a year's data was too much and I still get the error. I'm unable to use pivot tables in ANY report, without getting this message. Is anyone else having issues?EgZ25

Using Clients GA account for their over all website to Optimize Their Blog? or is there a better way to compare apples to apples
I would like to optimize my clients blog. If I am using their GA account for their over all website but put in the sub folder for SEOMOz, will it detect that I only want to optimize the blog ex. http://xxx.com/blog or will I be seeing the GA for the entire site on SEOMOZ?
