Weekly traffic from Google: How do you explain this?
-
Hello here,
I have question for you. Please, have a look at the attached image from my website analytics which shows the unique visits trend of the last 2 months.
What it is interesting is that every Monday Google brings me more traffic than any other day of the week, whereas on Saturdays it gives me the lowest traffic. And looks like that's a pretty regular weekly pattern.
Why is Google doing that? What does that mean? Why such a clear and steady pattern?
I am eager to know your thoughts about this!
-
My experience is the average to the public e-commerce sites are that, but other like b2b sites mid week is busier, but mostly all are quieter at the weekend. But granted that different sectors will be.... different
-
Yes, good thoughts... I will look into that, everything makes sense... it is weird though that I never noticed that for the past 14 years we have been in business! Something "steady" must have changed... I will look into this more in deep.
Thank you again to everyone.

That is actually totally sector driven. I manage a wide range of e-commerce sites and I can say that no day is better than another as a whole, but each shop has its busiest day.

Hi Fabrizo,
Some possibilities are mentioned below:
-
Do you post new content on the site every Monday
-
Is your site the kind that attracts a specific demographic that is more active on Monday than the weekends
I would look at the analytics a bit deeper to review this trend specifically what keywords are driving the traffic, the landing pages that are getting the most visits on Mondays etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

Mike is right
If its s e-commerce site (selling to the public) that is a very typical pattern, Monday being the busiest day with the weekend being quieter.
-
Its not that Google has decided to give you less traffic on Sunday vs Monday... its that the natural trend of visitors for your site is that you get more on Monday than you do on Sunday. Practically every site winds up having this Sine Wave of traffic in analytics. It's not exactly the same for every site but there is always a distinctive pattern like that.

Traffic inconsistency
Hello I verified my website on Google Search Console and submitted sitemap a long time ago. I have been getting data for impressions, but no clicks. However, Cpanel shows that people have been visiting my website, but Google Search Console does not. The data do not match up. Would you be able to explain why and what can I do about this? Also, Google Keyword Planner and Ubersuggest does not identify keywords on my website. Kind regards,

Page details in Google Search
I noticed this morning a drop in the SERPs for a couple of my main keywords. And even though this is a little annoying the more pressing matter is that Google is not displaying the meta title I have specified for the majority of my sites pages, despite one being specified and knowing my site has them in place. Could this sudden change to not using my specified title be the cause of the drop, and why would they be being displayed by Google in the first place, when they are there to be used. The title currently being displayed inthe SERPs is not anything that has been specified in the past or from the previous latest crawl etc. Any insight would be appreciated. Tim

Organic listing & map listing on 1st page of Google
Hi, Back then, a company could get multiple listings in SERP, one in Google Maps area and a homepage or internal pages from organic search results. But lately, I've noticed that Google are now putting together the maps & organic listings. This observation has been confirmed by a couple of SEO people and I thought it made sense, but one day I stumble with this KWP "bmw dealership phoenix" and saw that www.bmwnorthscottsdale.com has separate listing for google places and organic results. Any idea how this company did this? Please see the attached image

Webpage is ranking on google.ie / google.co.uk but not google.com?
One of our site webpage appears to be found in the first few pages on google.ie / google.co.uk but not on google.com. Is there such a thing being penalised on a specific Google domain? Traffic is healthy despite this but I want to rank well for the page in google.com. Any ideas?

Google place page Images
Is there any real difference in uploading an images directly to your google places page or linking an image from another site? I have heard that you get better results if you upload a photo to photo bucket then to insider pages then post that link to your google places page. To me it just seems a bit odd to do things this way. I get that it's suppose to give you more back links however I don't think it would necessarily be relevant or useful for the user. Any thoughts??
