I want to put 65.000 productpages on NOINDEX, FOLLW at once! Would Google mind?
-
Or have we do this step by step, i.e:
13.000 pages on noindex
13.000 pages on noindex
13.000 pages on noindex
13.000 pages on noindex
13.000 pages on noindexMakes together: 65.000 pages

I think you would be fine doing it all at once. The gradual roll-out thing Matt Cutts was referring to had to do with adding pages, not removing them.
You could also use the URL removal tool to get them taken out of the index faster once you have added the noindex, follow tag. You can remove an entire directory that way in one fell swoop as long as you don't need any other pages in that directory to be indexed either.
This is a smart move for a lot of eCommerce sites that like to drop ship products and use manufacturer or distributor-supplied product descriptions at a level that is not scaleable for rewriting on their own. In such cases I optimize the best performing products, get the rest out of the index, and rely heavily on category pages for bringing in search traffic. It isn't the best situation, but it's better than keeping a Panda penalty.
-
Always keep in mind that Google will not simply re-crawl all those pages right away.
It can take weeks/months for Google to crawl each page and change its indexing.
I have personally done this for over 1.5 million pages all in one go on my site and had no issues.
Staggering it will not help control the speed at which googlebot looks at them.

That's should be fine. I am glad you said noindex,Follow and not noindex, nofollow.
Remus presents a link by matt cuts, but that is talking about adding pages in great numbers -
Hi Wesley,
It's better if you do it in stages. A more gradual roll out is also recommended by Matt Cutts. His example is for 200K pages, but 65K is not so far away. I think the approach should be the same.
Check his video, it will help you understand what's better:
Should I add an archive of hundreds of thousands of pages all at once?
I hope this helps, good luck!

Could i add my website in Google News
Hi , I am looking to add article news section of my website http://goo.gl/De5MKo in google news. We'll remove all content from this news section http://www.99acres.com/articles/real-estate-news and upload unique news, might be possible we use graph/chart and images from some other news site and other sources but the content will be unique and fresh. Any specific guidelines for URL structure for this news section? We are thinking about to create URL like xyz.com/news/ <title>. Is it okay and will not harm our site? Google News can consider my section as a news?</p></title>

Organic Listings showing Google Tag Manager + Google Page Title...?
I'm a bit stumped with this. I optimise all my titles etc for Australia - and now the organic liatings are showing something strange. For example ( we sell health supplements ) Meta title = "My Product , Buy Online Australia" If I type "My Product" - the title in the organic listings says "My Product - My Company Limited" - and the only place I can see it getting that from is a combination of Meta Data used in Google Tag Manager + the Name on my Google places page. This is much more obvious for categories.. but it's a pain in the butt. If I type "My Product Australia" Then the original "My Product , Buy Online Australia" comes up. Any ideas on policy etc? I have taken the "Limited" off the Google business page - so hopefully this will change over time - but I can't find any information on why google would do something like this. If you had shed any light on this - would be much appreciated.

Google is not honoring my descriptions
I finally got our title tags honored and now Google is just making the descriptions whatever it wants. This is happening on pretty much every one of our pages. An example: http://www.sqlsentry.com/products/plan-explorer/sql-server-query-view SERPS = SQL Server MVP Aaron Bertrand shares a demo kit for Plan Explorer to give you better insight into the advantages of the tool, and to help you share its virtues ... Description tag = SQL Sentry Plan Explorer is a free query plan analysis tool that will allow you to find the most expensive operators by CPU, I/O, or both. I can see the description tag when I view source so I know that it is pulling it from the table correctly. What can I do to fix this?

Link from Google.com
Hi guys I've just seen a website get a link from Google's Webmaster Snippet testing tool. Basically, they've linked to a results page for their own website test. Here's an example of what this would look like for a result on my website. http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.impression.co.uk There's a meta nofollow, but I just wondered what everyone's take is on Trust, etc, passing down? (Don't worry, I'm not encouraging people to go out spamming links to results pages!) Looking forward to some interesting responses!

How to NOT appear in Google results in other countries?
I have ecommerce sites the only serve US and Canada. Is there a way to prevent a site from appearing in the Google results in foreign countries? The reason I ask is that we also have a lot of informational pages that folks in other countries are visiting, then leaving right after reading. This is making our overall Bounce Rate very high (64%). When we segment the GA data to look at just our US visitors, then the Bounce Rate drops a lot. (to 48%) Thanks!

Does Google hate wordpress?
I have my categories pages set to noindex, follow. I deactivated the author and date based archives, and all the /page/2 /page/3 are noindex. Is this the right approach? I had thought about adding some text to the topic of each category page and then changing them to index. I'm using showing recent post excerpts on the homepage. Another other suggestions? I think two of my sites are in panda for no good reason. It seems like non-wordpress blogs in my industry do better than comparable wordpress sites.

How does Google know if a backlink is good or not?
Hi, What does Google look at when assessing a backlink? How important is it to get a backlink from a website with relevant content? Ex: 1. Domain/Page Auth 80, website is not relevant. Does not use any of the words in your target term in any area of the website. 2. Domain/Page Auth 40, website is relevant. Uses the words in your target term multiple times across website. Which website example would benefit your SERP's more if you gained a backlink? (and if you can say, how much more would it benefit - low, medium, high).
