Is there any tool in/or out of SEOMOZ where we can check anchor texts for internal/external links for a website?
-
I just want to check anchor text of all the links for a specific URL within a website
-
Thanks Theo, it will show me the most effective 3000 links I guess, how about the rest? I want to see all the internal / external links and their anchor texts? Any other tool I can check? I also have SEO Powersuite but not sure whether I can use it or not.

If I understand correctly what you're trying to achieve, then you could use OpenSiteExplorer and click on the tab 'Anchor Text Distribution'.

How can a high authority website get away with this?
I found out a website i manage recently lost a link from Business Insider - DA 90+ ... after losing this link my DA dropped 5 points! I read the article and it is absolute GIBBERISH. the link that replaced my link actually links to a site that contains pornographic ads (jumbotrons.net). link: https://www.businessinsider.com.au/ninth-circuit-gay-marriage-quote-2012-12 my questions: 1. how would a company this reputable with a DA 90+ be building pages like this without major penalties? (i realize it is from .au (australia) but from research they own that site too) 2. how exactly does this work? are they selling links to people? did my competitor pay them to replace my link with theirs? why create a page that sounds like robots wrote it 3. would it be a good idea for me to try to get the link back? it certainly was helping considering i lost 5 DA points when i lost the link, but it goes against everything that makes sense in what i've read about toxic links and keeping things clean Curious to learn a little more about these dark arts!!!

Anchor text or inbound link keyword limits
With google's new algorithm, websites can get punished for keyword stuffing or too many of certain back links...so my question is, is there a limit on the keyword/anchortext used for a website containing a keyword you want the website to rank with?

Webmaster Tools Links
Am new to SEO so please be kind. I am working on link building (amongst other things) and notice that Google Webmaster Tools displays different links (and with different values) than Open Site Explorer. Some high value links which show up on Webmaster do not appear on OSE and vice versa. Which is the most accurate?

Are Links/Resources pages considered spam?
I'm dabbling with link building in a non link-happy industry, traffic safety (IE Traffic cones, barricades, safety vests, etc...). We currently are doing #RCS in terms of giveaways for college students as well as discounts in a wider EDU Outreach campaign as well as legitimate guest posting. I have started to use Link Prospector, and got a list of links/resources pages that we can get info from. I found some great links through here, including ways to get links from higher-profile .gov domains, but was wondering if it is worth it to go after the high(er) quality links/resources pages. By higher quality, I usually set a floor of a DA 25-30 and have a limited amount of external links per page. These would be for branded keywords (IE the company name/domain) and not exact match anchor text. I'd really like to see how other SEOs feel about this. Anchor Text Diversity Question
I had a general question, will I be penalized for using one anchor text 108 times? I did some reading and I read that Google will be less likely to penalize you if it is your brand name instead of like "make money fast" or another spammy type of anchor text? The anchor text that I used was our website name thanks.

Your Experience with Exact Match Anchor Text Penalties
Hi Moz community! I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a site penalized or dampened because of too many exact match anchor links or know of any examples. I don't want to be overly concerned about it if it is a low risk. Thanks!

Trying to use the SEOmoz link building tools but...
all of the directories that are listed seem to be based in the US for US companies - am I missing something? By the way my target audience is solely based in the UK, Thanks, Jason
