.land extension or .com extension? Please help!
-
hi, its me again.
I bought 2 domains for my new site I want to build. My keyword is: "BabyHazelGames"
babyhazelgames.land ( for me it sounded like "the land of baby hazel" etc )
PlayHazel.com ( short .com domain, still says what the sites about )
If u check first page for this keyword u see most of the sites are EMD-s or filler partial EMD ( on .com-s)Someone told me to buy a EMD since I fight with EMD-s on first page, and its the only way I have a chance!
I bought The games license, theme license and all of these. That was alot of money, and I dont want to put all my money and work on the wrong domain name.
Please help me decide between these 2; Thanks!

Use the .com. People know what it is, and once you have a solid strategy in place, it will do better.
When you try and complicate things for the end user, it just goes downhill. One thing that was always preached to me by my mentors: Optimize and build around the lowest common denominator, without insulting your intelligent users. .land will confuse both.

I personally favor the .com, as it's shorter and makes more sense, and more people are aware of .com domains.
The next thing I would focus on is why should people come to your site as opposed to the dozens of others out there on the web already that offer baby hazel games. What do you offer that they don't have? Think about about your unique selling proposition as you put together your site.

congrats on your .com i wouldnt bother with the .land for now. Anyway let me explain why..
1st of all most people would use .com if they are not familiar with your website and not everyone as of today is familiar with .land TLD. So if i was one of your friend or have heard your site the very first thing i would do if i dont remember your domain is use .com as TLD, yep...
2nd is that i dont think you will be aiming for "the land of baby hazel" as your keyword and if you will i dont think .land would be of any help.
3rd just think of those 2 reasons above, lol but anyway i wanna hear from the PRO's for more elaborate explanation and their own point of view.

By the way, most companies will change your license for you... especially if you bought it in the last 30 days.... send them an email and ask

Hi again
PlayHazel.com get's my vote. It's very brandable, the word 'Play' is already very related to games, it's easy to remember, and it's a .com.
I can't think of a single good thing to say about babyhazelgames.land not to be overly blunt, but that just sounds terrible!
Good luck in whatever you choose

.org EMD - worth it or should we go with a lesser keyworded .com
Hello, A client of mine really wants to go with a 3 keyword EMD .org kw1kw2kw3.org The other option is to buy a non EMD .com with 2 of the keywords in it. I am leaning towards the .com, I don't think .org's are very professional, and EMDs seem to be going out of style, but please give your honest opinion now and what will happen in the coming years. Thanks

Google detects wrong information to compnay's knowledge graph on search index - Please help
This issue is about website properties' information showing on Google's search index with brand keywords. We have 8 different domains that operated separately in 8 countries. All are responsible for their individual domain. When I Google it with our brand name 'Flight Centre' in Google.ca, Google's search index shows company website link with flightcentre.com and detects all information, social profile etc.. from Flight centre Australia. Please see the screenshot. How to change this information that Google shows or detects website link and all other properties from flightcentre.ca? Anybody about with a quick answer would be awesome? Problems with changing blog from example.com/blog to blog.example.com
Currently we have a Wordpress blog on a domain subdirectory ie example.com/blog. We are possibly going to change it to blog.example.com in order to move it off the server for security reasons. I know it benefits the sites SEO as a whole to host the blog on a subdirectory instead of a subdomain, but I am wondering if there is a best way to make this move if we have to? Any thoughts are welcome.

It's been 2 Months and Google STILL shows my Old URL, why? (help please)
First i just want to say the 301s, change of address and nearly all outer links are changed to the new url since early september. Let me give you an example... Query: Custom Sweatbands Ranking URL: www.stbands.com/custom-sweatbands/ **Correct URL that it is 301'd to for over 2 months now: **www.customonit.com/custom-sweatbands/ More... new sitemap has been submitted since the beginning. The old website www.stbands.com doesn't even exist anymore, in fact at the beginning of this month I got pretty angry and blocked search engines via the robots txt for the old domain. Any way I can get Google to catch on? Thanks in advance!

Entireweb.com
http://www.entireweb.com/express_inclusion/ Anybody used this? There is a express inclusion that you pay for, vs the free. Wanted to see what the group thinks. Worth it, not? It is not included in the SEOMoz list of directories.

.com or .co.uk
We're lunching a new site and we've managed to secure desired domain name with .com and .co.uk The business in question is UK based and is catering for UK customers. We're not interested in foreign traffic. Should we go with .com or .co.uk? .com sounds much better and I think it will be easier to build a brand using .com
