Easy on-page checker idea feedback
Some script I wrote. Is this handy for someone? Try the script yourself
like most things I like the Moz on-page grader (a lot!) but it does not do everything I want it to. So sometime I write my own little checks and other times I want to see list for of example all images without ALT tags. For this I wrote some code for myself the last few weeks. Now I bundled them for a handy little checker that is as is and not meant to make money with. It's just my handy work so to say and I would like to hear some feedback on the very simple but I think effective method of checking anchors on a front page against the page they link to.
This is a very basis page checker for some important on-page ranking factors. If you type links in the option field then all links found on the page are listed
Per link anchor quality check:
The idea is very simple: if we assume for the simplicity of this method that the anchor text found first linking to an other page on the website this anchor text determnines the keyword with which the page is indexed. In made the links found on the page clickable. When clicked it starts the same scan but then only for the anchor text provided with the link clicked. If the on-page checks are ok I reccon your doing alright.
idea is to start with the front page of any website and click the followed links, The page linked to is graded for match with anchor text as keyword.

The link I provided is a script that I wrote that does some checks. Was wondering if anybody thinks it's useful. I'm thinking about developing it a bit further and then offering it as a free open source SEO script? Try the script yourself

By the way, the redirect tool I mention in my other response is throwing a 500 for that page right now!

You can get a long way with a good free tool like this. My former agency got a lot of good press and social love for a redirect checker they developed last year: http://www.ayima.com/seo-knowledge/redirect-checker.html
This operates as a Chrome plug-in, which I would highly recommend, seeing the reaction the tool got. It's super easy to use, which people absolutely love.

FAQ page structure
I have read in other discussions that having all questions on an FAQ page is the way to go and then if the question has an answer worthy of its own page, you should abbreviate the answer and link to the page with more content. My question is when using some templates in WP, they have a little + button you can click and it reveal the answer to the question. Will pushing a visitor to a conversion page hosted on a 3rd-party domain hurt the landing page ranking
Had an interesting question from a client. The client has a page that is optimized for a specific term. The goal of the page is to push users to sign-up for a trial. The trial registration (conversion) page is hosted by a third-party. Will pushing users to the conversion page cannibalize the SEO authority of the landing page. My reflexive answer is to say no, but now am not so sure.

Search Pages outranking Product Pages
A lot of the results seen in the search engines for our site are pages from our search results on our site, i.e. Widgets | Search Results This has happened over time and wasn't intentional, but in many cases we see our search results pages appearing over our actual product pages in search, which isn't ideal. Simply blocking indexing of these pages via robots wouldn't be ideal, at least all at once as we would have that period of time where those Search Results pages would be offline and our product pages would still be at the back of ranking. Any ideas on a strategy to replace these Search Results with the actual products in a way that won't hurt us too bad during the transition? Or a way to make the actual product pages rank above the search results? Currently, it is often the opposite. Thanks! Craig

One page dropped like a stone from rankings - why?
I have one page targeted to a specific keyword that seems to have dropped into oblivion but rest of website seems Ok and as usual. website is www.pod-exhibition-systems.co.uk search term is "banner stands" Grade is A in SEO moz tools and 3 other SEO programs. looking for an avenue to try as has been 2 weeks so far. regards Joe

Different pages for OS's vs 1 Page with Dynamic Content (user agent), what's the right approach?
We are creating a new homepage and the product are at different stages of development for different OS's. The value prop/messaging/some target keywords will be different for the various OS's for that reason. Question is, for SEO reasons, is it better to separate them into different pages or use 1 page and flip different content in based on the user agent?

I have encountered this weird problem about duplicate page content. My site got 3 duplicate content similar on the link structure below. Duplicate Page Title
Hi Guys, First off, it's an honour to be a part of this awesome community. I'm using WordPress and getting top 3 rankings for great keywords and I'm very excited, however my page titles are in this format "keyword optimised title here - site name here" eg: "This is my keyword - this is the name of my blog", "This is another keyword - this is the name of my blog", "This is a longtail keyword - this is the name of my blog" SEOMoz is reporting errors because of duplicate page title tags due to the "this is the name of my blog" being in every page title. SSL Necessary on Every Page?
Our ecommerce site is currently set up with an SSL on each page. My understanding is that these would need to be removed on the pages that I'd like a 301 redirect to be placed on. As of now, we have 302s due to the SSL. Do I need an SSL on every page or just the checkout pages? Any real benefit to having the SSL on every page?
