HI Folks
I'm monitoring a small Australian site bluetea.com.au . Currently I have a SEO specialist who does month onsite maintenance work for this site. However each month I continue to see errors in webmaster tools... as an example, currently webmaster tools suggest we have 21 short meta dic and 26 duplicate title tags.....
Examples given are
Short Meta Discp
/cleaning-products-and-our-health/toxic-cleaners/
/colour-consultant/fushia-door/
/portfolio/parisian-apartment-black-kitchen/parisian-apartment-black-kitchen/
Duplicate title tags
<a id="zip_0-anchor" class="zippedsection_title"></a>concrete-kitchen | Blue Tea Kitchen Designs
/kitchen-trends-and-material-innovation/concrete-kitchen-2//kitchen-trends-for-2013/concrete-kitchen/<a id="zip_1-anchor" class="zippedsection_title"></a>Potts Point Kitchen | Blue Tea Kitchen Designs/portfolio/potts-point-kitchen//portfolio/potts-point-kitchen/pott-point-kitchen/My SEO tells me that he has solved all these issues but after one or two months they still remain in webmaster tools... can anybody help me understand why?Thank you

Your SEO is right - even if they are updated, it can take a while before they disappear in Webmaster Tools. Google is not really best in class to update these warnings. I did a quick crawl of your site with Screaming Frog, and I couldn't find Duplicate Page Titles or Meta descriptions. 20 pages don't have a metadescription (/tag/ pages)
For a site of 89 HTML pages, the tool had to crawl a lot of resources though - you could consider to put a 'nofollow' tag on the reply links in your comments (the url's of type http://www.bluetea.com.au/sydney-kitchen-companies-a-buyers-guiAde/?replytocom=383 are not indexed, but the links to these pages are followed which ads no value, and is just wasting google bot's time)
Some of the examples you give are extremely light on content (http://www.bluetea.com.au/portfolio/potts-point-kitchen/, http://www.bluetea.com.au/cleaning-products-and-our-health/toxic-cleaners/ http://www.bluetea.com.au/colour-consultant/fushia-door/ , you could consider to add some text to these pages, and at least add a alt tag to the images you show.
While visually very attractive, 27 images are above 100k - check if you can compress them (think about your poor mobile visitors). Page speed seems to be quite good, noticed however your use a lot of javascript (23% of bytes transferred is javascript) - a bit strange as your site doesn't seem to be that complex.
Also check your external links, 4 of them lead to pages that do not exist anymore.(http://www.cosmit.it/tool/home.php?s=0,2,67,71,78, http://www.sampfordixl.com.au/neff/t44t97.html, http://www.kitchenwaresuperstore.com.au/, http://www.forbo-flooring.com.au/)
rgds,
Dirk

The links appear to be pages that were automatically generated when an image was attached to a page or post in WordPress. This is fairly common with WordPress. Fortunately, these pages have the following meta tag, which tells the search engines that they should not be indexed or crawled.
<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow"></meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

Looking at that first example here's the meta description code:
So the Meta Description for that page is "nofollow7" plus Google is being told not to index that page. Is that supposed to be the case? If yes, you could remove the URL in GWT. If no, you'll want to get that cleaned up.
The in head css also isn't a best practice. Have you ran these through Google's Page Speed tool and other markup validators?

Question on site structure
My client is a nationwide company. They provide building maintenance services in 7 different cities. In each city they provide a different range of services. They currently have a single service page for each service and no mention on that page of the cities they offer the service. The service pages are getting no SERP visibility. We are running Paid Search and recommending SEO. I'm wondering whether it would be beneficial to build out specific service pages for each city so the content is more relevant to both users and search engines. What is best practice in this situation? Client wants to dominate SERPs in each market for the services they offer.

On-Site Optimization Issue!
Hello, I have some confusion about how to structure my site to better in on-site optimization. I am using WordPress. Therefore, there are many things that I need to consider as following: Static Page for homepage OR Latest posts? Archive, Category, Author, Attachment and Tag pages - To put meta robots (no index, follow) or not to prevent duplication? If I use Static Page for homepage, do I need to add meta robots (no index, follow) to POINT 2 above or not? If I use Latest Posts for homepage, do I need to add meta robots (no index, follow) to POINT 2 above or not? To have breadcrumb or not? To have recent posts, comment, tag clouds or popular posts/comments widget or not? To have social sharing icons and related posts in single post or not? If you don't mind adding more tips that I don't know it would be very great! Thanks!

On page/site - Images & bold text
As I understand it on a page where you are going for the keywords 'Metal gates', you have an image titled 'Metal gates' (Lets say MG for Metal gates to save on my typing!) with the alt tag being 'MG' Now as I also understand it, if an image is also used as a link the Alt tag is also the anchor text? So, I have a page on Metal gates using the above methods, from this page I have image links to a metal driveway gates page (as well as text links), would I be best using an image titled 'Metal driveway gates' with the alt text as ' Metal driveway gates' to link to my metal driveway gates page (if you follow me)? Also on the image question, what if you have say six images (that are all links) on the metal gates page, how would you title the images and alt tags? Variations on Metal gates? Or using the keyword on the page that the link points to? (I'm not looking to keyword stuff but want to get it right! ) Also is it important to have your on page keywords in bold still? i ask because I've bolded text on my pages but not the main keywords - I've bolded text that I want people to see, but do not want to take away any power from my keywords if you follow me?

Creating Duplicate Content on Shopping Sites
I have a client with an eCommerce site that is interested in adding their products to shopping sites. If we use the same information that is on the site currently, will we run into duplicate content issues when those same products & descriptions are published on shopping sites? Is it best practice to rewrite the product title and descriptions for shopping sites to avoid duplicate content issues?

Can Page Authority of a site be higher than its Domain Authority?
I own a website called Takeyourtips.com. While doing a search no Google, I found that the page authority of the home page (31) is higher than the domain authority (23). I was wondering if it's really possible because my understanding was page authority of a page is determined by its domain authority. Therefore, it the domain authority of a website is 23, none of its page could have a higher page authority. Plus, upon consulting an SEO expert, I was told that neither Domain Authority or Page Authority of a page carries any importance as far as higher ranking of a website is concerned. Is this true? Thanks in advance for the answers. Cheers, Sushant large

How do you avoid getting hit for too many links with an ecommerce site?
On my campaign for www.fourcolormagnets.com one of my warnings was "too many on-page links". Is there any thing to do for ecommerce sites? and also, my page www.fourcolormagnets.com/rectangle-sizes.php is listed as having 744 links but, I count nowhere near that number. And idea where this comes from?

What are the benefits of footer expanded site maps?
Many sites display a site map on the bottom of each page with a limited depth of around two deep. Has anyone done a A/B test on this, for selected search terms? Is this good practice?
