How often is the linkscape performed

Crawling the web can be complex and problems can pop up like they did this month. We are working to increase the speed at which we release updates and this crawl we ran into a problem that forced us to start over, hence the longer delay. Otherwise it was going to be out on the 11th of July. Sorry for the delay.

Seems like it must be a little behind this month then, as we are already 38 days since the last update. Any word on when it will likely come out this month?

Crawling a large number of website and calculating the metrics takes some time. We are currently on a schedule to update every 30ish day but are working to decrease the time it takes. Stay tuned.

Yeah, it is monthly. I think the main reason it isn't more frequent than that is computing power/resources. It takes quite a lot of time to scrape the entire internet, that's a lot of websites to download and analyze. It probably also has something to do with their bandwidth costs. I'm sure if you up it to 4 times a month you just quadrupled an already very expensive bandwidth bill.
I'm not 100% sure this is the reason, but it seems like a likely answer in my mind.

Performing at an American Heart ball fund raiser, how to acquire links with this?
Hello Mozzers! My band is performing for an American Heart Ball in a month and I was wondering if i could get any decent links to my band website being as i am the main entertainment at this event. I'll ask the webmaster who is in charge of the event website for a link but was trying to brain storm on ideas on how to get more links from other sources as many people like to post on their sites supporting these events. Are press release links dead? I see lots of these events announced on prweb and a few other press release websites. any other ideas on how i could garner links from this event? Thanks in advance, Ron

Last Linkscape index update
I noticed that under my link analysis that it said: "Last Linkscape index update: 08/14/2012." I would like to try to get a full understanding of what this means? Is this stating that my competitive Link Analysis and link metrics have not been updated since August?! Any help and tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!

When's Linkscape update going to go live?
I've been keeping an eye on the Linkscape update calendar and am a bit confused! There was meant to be an update yesterday, but Open Site Explorer is still showing "Last index update: 8/14/12". When will the new data reach OSE? Been doing lots of link building and want to know if my efforts have been worth it! Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks! Alex

How often does Google crawls old pages, is it worth to get links from them ?
Let's say there's a blog post in my industry niche that's 2 years old. Is it worth to get a link from that blog post ? How do I know Google will actually re-crawl that page, and how long can that process take ?

How often is Linkscape and Open Site Explorer updated?
I ran a report on a URL that needed external links updated several weeks ago. I contacted the webmasters at each site with the outdated external link notifying them of the updated URL. I want to check how many have been updated, so I reran the report. Unfortunately, there are some that I know were updated still showing up on the report with the outdated URL. Any suggestions to get a gauge on how many have been updated?

Is there a way I can import Linkscape data more often than the standard update?
