Best Plugins for Rich Snippets
-
Hello,
I installed "all in one schemeraorg rich snippets" for my wordpress site but it messed up my website design so I deactivated it. Is there any other best plugin available with same functions and features? Or if there is any other best way to do this?
Please help as this plugin worked fine with one of my other website. Any help is appreciated?

Hi Brian,
Breadcrumbs are one type of structured data, but I just mentioned as an example. Please, take a look at this article from Google help to see whether they are relevant for your site and how they are displayed in search results: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/breadcrumbs

Hey Brian.
Obviously each scenario is a bit different but in general you'll simply want to enter as much information as you have for each field. In the case of reviews it's pretty easy.
Schema Type - Review
Name - Name of the product being reviewed
Website - URL of the product being reviewed
Description - A description of the product being reviewed
Item Name - What you're calling it (i.e. Review of XYZ)
Item Review - A summary of the review
Rating - Your rating
Author - You
Published Date - The date of the reviewHope that helps !

I added Schema Creator by Raven and it worked. Thanks dave for your help. However, it has lot of fields as compared to all in one. Can you please explain how should I go on filling the text fields for Review Schema Type in this plugin? and what is the importance of each. Thanks in advance for this help
-
Sorry to say but this plugin really helps with rich snippets because it seems to have different functioning? Please correct me if i am wrong

I haven't tried All-In-One (though I now plan to) but I have found success with Schema Creator by Raven.
Totally agree with Daniel on Breadcrumb NavXT.

All In One Schema.org Rich Snippets usually works well and it would be my first recommendation. What is the theme? Anyway, getting all types of data structured with one generic plugin maybe it's overambitious Try focusing on the specific data that is more valuable for your website to be structured and find the best plugin for that type. For example, try Breadcrumb NavXT for (you got it right) breadcrumbs.

What is the best practice way to attribute a Google Review?
An example might be a local directory site, where multiple businesses are featured. To flesh out the respective business profiles, Google Reviews are included. Copying/pasting would be the definition of duplicate content. I wonder though if hyperlinking to the review itself would be enough? For a random example: "you literally have never had better ice cream. cutest shop in charleston sc" - Mandee Jalbert, Google Review Google doesn't appear to have a review embed option- am I wrong? If not, would the above attribution via the "Google Review" hyperlink be sufficient to head off any potential dings for duplicate content? Thanks! Stephen

Rich snippet not enabled, on aggregated review pages
We have a website where you can book on restaurants, and afterwards you can review the restaurant you visited. So we have this page: https://www.r2n.dk/restauranter/restaurant-bonjour-vietnam (We have one for each restaurant). English version https://www.r2n.dk/en/restauranter/restaurant-bonjour-vietnam The page is marked up in microData, and when I test the site in google structured data it shows no errors https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.r2n.dk%2Frestauranter%2Frestaurant-bonjour-vietnam . But the page does not show up on google with a rich snippet (The review stars). I am thinking it might be one of the following things. Either it is because there is multiple "Restaurants" on the page, where the others appear in recommended restaurants, where we also marked them up as much as possible. Or else it could be because the reviews are hidden behind the "Anmeldelser"(Reviews) button, where they are retrieved via a ajax request, but if this was the case I don't get why this other site where the reviews does not appear is working fine: https://www.just-eat.dk/restaurants-bonjourvietnam Also it is a week since we finaly correctly implemented the structured data on the page, so I don't know if I should wait a longer time(Though the page has been cached by google multiple times since we updated the code)

Rich Snippets on Adult Content
Hi,I understand that rich snippets can't be used to promote adult-related content, however, what does Google specifically class as 'adult content'?We sale sex toys, lingerie and accessories, like lubes etc. I understand that sex toys may not be supported, however, I wouldn't see an issue with adding rich snippets/schema markup to the lingerie side of the site. After doing some research, it seems as if Amazon have rich snippets on adult related content, including cock ring products and lingerie. If we add schema markup - will Google simply not display the snippets, or will they penalise the site? Thanks!

Best process for asking customers to leave reviews?
This might be too off-topic for Moz, but I think many of us might face the same issue, so I thought I would ask. Love them or hate them, we get 90% of our business from being #1 on Trip Advisor. My biggest competition is trying very hard to take over that #1 spot, so we are working to keep it. Has anyone found a seamless way to ask customers for TripAdvisor reviews? We email, text, ask over the phone. But here the problem, Trip Advisor is not the easiest site to leave a review on. If you are on your phone, they want you download the app. Some people don't like to download apps. Or, if they have the app already and click "yes" to open the site in the app, it goes to the app store instead. There doesn't seem to be as much of an issue on the PC, but most people do everything from their phones now. And if something is a little bit hard, people are less likely to go out of their way to leave a review. So, here's my question. Has anyone found a better way? Maybe a form on my website? Or a process that seems to work better? This does have some SEO implications in that my Trip Advisor page does show up in search results quite a bit as well as much home page. Sometimes they are #2 and #3 together.

Enabling Rich Snippets for Reviews and Ratings
Hi everybody, Going to install schema AggregateRating code so our website will appear with 5 stars snippet in SERP. Researching other websites and see two main approaches: Site displays all its reviews on the page where the snippet is
Reviews and Ratings | | Ryan_V
http://www.meatheadmovers.com/movers/los-angeles.aspx Site displays only a few reviews on the targeted page, and the rest can be found on the other page, where they marked up with schema as well.
http://www.danielsmoving.com/areas-served/moving-from-arizona-to-los-angeles/
http://www.alexmoving.net/areas-served/los-angeles-movers/ Google shows rich snippet for both in SERP
http://prntscr.com/ak1vcs
http://prntscr.com/ak1vup Though it says here:
"Make sure the reviews and ratings you mark up are readily available to users from the marked-up page. It should be immediately obvious to users that the page has review or ratings content." Our site has over 300 reviews and I don't want all of them to be in targeted page (home page), of course I prefer to go with option #2 if it's within Google guidelines. is it? What do you guys think?1 -
Rich Snippets (Rating stars) not showing up on website in search results
Hello, I have All in One Schema.org Rich Snippets plugin installed on my WP websites for the star snippets to show up in google search results. I used the Item Review property in this plugin for the homepage and under Reviewer’s Name (added name of author), Item to be reviewed (added brand/business name) and Your Rating (of course 5 :)). Now, the problem occurring is that instead of stars showing up in search results, the date when the respective page was published is showing up in search results. This is happening with all the websites I added plugin in. Am I doing something wrong or what is happening. Please help as i want those stars to show up on the websites. Please help me with any plugin or useful info that can help me with this. Thanks!

Reusing reviews from other sites for branded rich snippet taken from brands testimonial page
Hi my customer has had a new website built for their custom home building company which has a testimonials page http://www.precisionhomes.com.au/testimonials.html This testimonials page has duplicate review content taken from another dedicated review site http://www.productreview.com.au/p/precision-homes.html My question is this, if I add review microdata to http://www.precisionhomes.com.au/testimonials.html will google recognize this in Rich snippets and the Brands Knowledge Graph or will it just consider it duplicate content?

Rich Snippets Showing in Site:Search Queries Only?
Hey Mozzers, I'm noticing that several sites of mine are triggering rich snippets for REVIEWS when I do site:search, however when I remove the site:search their results are stripped of rich snippets. Any thoughts on this/others seeing similarities?
