My crawl report only shows 1 link
-
Hello, I've tried a crawl for the site www.doctify.co.uk and it's only returned 1 link in the report which is the homepage. Do you know what the issue could be?
Thanks,
Nina

Hi,
I don't want to insult you with to basic of an explanation so please tell me if this isn't what you mean and im over simplifying it.
Find a link on your website,
right click it and click on inspect element, this will bring up a developer panel at the bottom of your browser (its different for each browser, but there are all similar.) It will have the code that makes the link highlighted amongst the rest of the code that makes up the page.
For instance the "The Mission" link in your footer has this code
The mission<a ="" link="" tag<br="">href=""> = the URL parameter where the link should follow</a> = closing the tag where the link stops
Best SEO practice is
The missionYou should then take this 1 step further for best SEO and include a title parameter for the link which would look like this
The missionEdit: Can't spell

Hi again! I was wondering if you could tell me how you checked the link format on our site?
Many thanks,
Nina

Thank you ATP! But I think your response was very good! I think for now the important thing is that the pages are in fact indexed by google which is important but there seems to be an issue with the #! as you have also mentioned. Reading up on the link shared by Dirk about AJAX crawlability the #! in the URL's seem to also be the issue. The solution on there is Javascript function that's part of 'HTML5 History API' called window.history.pushState(). I think I will recommend this to the developers...

I think dirk covered it and i was way off Ignore this response

Thank you very much for the quick response Dirk.
Best,
Nina -
All the links are in javascript - and Mozbot doesn't crawl javascript (Google does however). Try visiting your site with javascript disabled - all you see is a blank page.
There is a similar question herethat may be can help you finding a solution - try also this post on AJAX & crawlability
Hope this helps
Dirk

Does Organic CTR from Keyword Explorer show percentage of 1st position clicks? If not, how to calculate?
I have two questions about the Organic CTR number from the Moz Keyword Explorer tool. I have read through the description here, but it is not very clear on what I need to know: https://mza.bundledseo.com/community/q/what-is-a-good-keyword-opportunity-score Does it calculate the percent of searchers that are likely to click on ANY of links from page one of the traditional organic search results? Or does it calculate the percent of searchers that are likely to click on the NUMBER 1 position of the traditional organic search results? I suspect the answer will be that it calculates the percentage of clicks for any of the traditional organic search results from page one. Which leads me to question two... I'm trying to calculate the estimated search traffic from each keyword if there was a number 1 ranking. And if the Organic CTR shows the percentage of clicks going to any of the traditional organic search results I need to add a modifier to my formula which will calculate how many clicks the number 1 ranking receives. So I think the formula would will look something like this: Monthly website traffic from keyword = monthly search traffic * Organic CTR * Number 1 Position CTR. In this case, what would I use for the "Number 1 Position CTR" modifier?

Moz Top Pages and Tool Bar Not Crawling Internal Pages and Links
Hello, We’re having two issues with our Moz tools and we’re not sure what’s causing them and whether they are related. The Moz Bar isn’t highlighting some of our internal links (including navigation links). The Top Pages Report in Open Site Explorer is only picking up the homepage and a couple error pages (none of the internal pages). The full Crawl Report is picking up everything though. Could a potential cause of both these issues be the Title attribute in some our links? – We use <a <="" span="">title="Example" href="link"></a> <a <="" span="">Or is this most likely from something else blocking the crawler from accessing our links/pages? Google Search Console does seem to be picking up the links in the navigation and everything is indexed/rendered correctly so we also didn’t know if this is something that could be issue. Any insight or help would be appreciated. Please let us know if there are any details we could provide that might help. Looking forward to hearing from all of you! Thank you in advance. Best,</a>

How do I disallow crawl on a directory when it's a prefix to my site's URL?
I am trying to disallow our media repository (hosted elsewhere, but appears as a directory on our site) from being crawled by robots but it is not a subdirectory of the site, it's a prefix. So I need to disallow: mediabank.mywebsite.org Not: mysite.org/mediabank What would I need to put in my robots.txt and/or the other host's robots.txt to make this happen? Thanks!

Trying to duplicate Screaming Frog report
I am trying to use the crawl report to generate the Screaming Frog report shown below. I want to use it to calculate the internal page rank as Paul Shapiro outlined in this article. Google is not seeing my site the way I want them to and I want to work on the site heirarchy and structure. I am not seeing where: Type, Anchor, and Alt are listed in the crawl report - is it called something else? Is there another report I can run for the whole site to generate the data above? Does the Moz PA already calculate the internal PR of pages? Any additional resources or people that could help me with this? Thanks, SAM

Why is 410 (Gone) being classed as a high priority issue in crawl diagnostics?
Are high priority issues have suddenly soared by over 100 because Moz is classing 410s as high priority.

Google doesn't class these as so serious, so we were wondering if anyone knows why Mos does?0 -
I'm checking keyword difficulty for two different sites. Would love to view the results by site instead of just one large list. Is that possible? Or would it just be easier to keep the lists separate in Excel and just import when I want an updated report?
I have keyword lists for two sites. Is there a way to label them in the keyword difficulty tool (List A, List B) so I can just view results for a particular site? Or do I need to run the report with List A, export results, delete those keywords, then run the report for List B?
