Does a tag inside H1 affect SEO?
-
We are using a tag inside our H1 tag to display a second line of text, usually for extra information and making the tag appeal like a intro text for the visitor and not just a optimized SEO tag.
Example: https://www.denhollandsche.nl/grafmonumenten/
Does this technique affect SEO? Should we consider removing it?

Just to expand on the other comments, the tag is used for styling, (http://www.w3schools.com/TAGs/tag_small.asp)
So the h1 would still apply, it is just styled different to the "standard" h1 style.

Hello,
Why using small, that smaller text inside tags ? You can replace this with a div or span with class "small "for example, and create the same effect with :
.small {font-size: smaller; }

Hi Martjin,
No it doesn't affect the SEO optimization.
Hope it helps.

Hi there I am migrating all products from my current trade website http://shop.snowbusiness.com/ to another platform. Whilst both are live, would i have to worry too much about duplicate content and no-follow the pages or is this overkill? Cheers, Ben

Differences in Sitemaps SEO wise?
I'm a bit confused about sitemaps. I'm just learning SEO so forgive me if this is a basic question. I've submitted my site to google webmaster using http://pro-sitemaps.com and the sitemap generator it creates. I've also seen sites do this: http://www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/ProductList.aspx and http://www.thesafestcandles.com/site-map.html so I did something similar for my site (www.ldnwicklesscandles.com). You figure you see everyone do it you might as well try it too and hope it works. 😉 So I've done both 1 and 2. Which sitemap is best for SEO purposes or should I do both? Is there any format that should or shouldn't be used for Option 2? Any site examples for good practice would be helpful.

Entry based content and SEO
My E-commerce team is implementing functionality that allows us to display different content based on what channel and even what keyword the customers used to reach our page. This is of course a move that we believe will strengthen our conversion rates, but how will this effect our organic search listings? Do you guys have any examples of how this could affect us, and are there any technology pitfalls that we absolutely need to know about?
