Hi

I am managing a website, that in May was indexed at 67 i DA - then we installed SSL and we dropped to 26 and we're still there - I do not now, how I can change my site, so that I can regain some of the DA.

It is a wordpress site and we used a free SSL certificate and I have detected no problem with the 301 redirects.

Do you have any insights or tips?

I too have had this happen this week. rankings have not taken a drop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Before I provide any other information, I have to ask first - Did your rankings (generally speaking) drop as well? Or was it just the number of your DA?

I have 2 linking root domains on my URL. But I don't get the whole Root domain thing. So I don't understand how I can improve it?

I copy and pasted this, from my Links page in my campaign because I can't seem to grasp what a root domain is: 'A higher number of good quality linking root domains improves a page's ranking potential'. Lots of 404s listed in Top Pages by Page Authority

Hi guys, I'm slowly getting to grips with all the aspects of using Moz.
Looking at my link analysis, under the tab labelled Top Pages by Page Authority, there's an awful lot of 404 pages listed. Are these pages which are being linked to (either internally or externally), and should I put a 301 redirect on all the pages listed? I've attached a picture... moz-screen-shot.jpg

Massive drop in linking domains - please advise!

Hi guys! Our site www.carwow.co.uk appears to have been punched in the face by the latest Moz update. It's claiming our #linking root domains has dropped from 225 to 135 and has subsequently hit our DA from 38 to 35. We haven't disavowed any links and our off-site strategy has been going well the past 2 months. Search performance has increased by around 15% (around 5k sessions) and rankings have improved week on week. Any idea if this is a Moz error? That's almost a 50% drop in linking root domains. Page Authority and Google updates favouring websites with black hat practices ?

Can someone explain how is it that most of the competitors I have online and that rank in first page of the search results almost entirely get links ( in the thousands) and still have higher or equal domain/page authority than mine? I went 1 by 1 checking all their links and they mostly come from sex pages, and non related sites. I say stop creating angry pandas and penguins and start taking out of the game people that just play dirty. Thanks.

Big drop in Moz Domain Authority in the latest mozscape update

hi, Before Moz were forced to roll back the moz scape I saw a drop in all 3 of my campaigns domain authority; 42 > 39
39 > 35
24 > 22 I am employing differing tactics on these campaigns, one of which i would say leans towards the less white (the one in the middle of those stats). The other 2 however are all clean. So, did anyone else see a drop in DA before moz retracted the figures? was there an issue with the latest moz update? Thanks in advance.

What web page and domain analysis / error checking / testing tools do you use for competitor analysis? sites like webpagetest

Just wondering what everyone is using, I am looking to get as much insight and detail as I can on websites that are not currently being monitored by me... i.e. potential clients. I use tools like pagespeed, webpagetest, loadimpact and open site explorer, google adwords, ispionage, alexa, semrush and well, looking for more. I really just want to rip a website to the tiniest pieces possible in an organized and coherent manner... is there anything out there? I have tried several other's which i no longer use (compete, 4q, woopra, nuestar, to name a few), I am not sure if I know exactly what i want, i just want more.... damn the human condition. lol
