Text to code ratio<10% warning from website audit by SiteChecker.Pro - how important is it?
-
Hi to everyone,
I used Sitechecker.Pro for a website audit of a client website https://bizpages.org and there was this warning (not an error!):
TEXT TO CODE RATIO<10%
https://sitechecker.pro/app/main/project/1839063/audit/summary
How important is this to achieve good ranking? What are good ratios? I undestand that more text needs to be added to improve it?

Hi!
This is a metric I would care less about, it's not something that is good or bad. It's just something that could happen. For example, look at this Q&A page, I bet that 98% of the HTML on this page is templated and only the questions and answers are obviously different. Is that bad? No, it's certainly not. There are likely many other factors in SEO to worry about more.
Use the overall rule that you always want to add more content to your pages, but in itself, I wouldn't worry about code <> text ratio as something to improve.
Martijn.

Website is not indexing
Hi All, My website URL is https://thepeopeople.com and it is neither caching nor indexing in Google. Earlier the URL was https://peopeople.com. I have redirected it to https://thepeopeople.com by using 301 redirections. I have checked the redirection and everything else is fine and I have submitted all the URLs in search console also, still the website is not indexing. Its been more than 5 months now. Please suggest a solution for this. Thanks in Advance.

Location of Content within the Code Structure
Hi guys,
Technical SEO | | artdivision
When working with advanced modern websites it many times means that in order to achieve the look and feel we end up with pages that has almost 1000 lines of code or more. In some cases it is impossible to avoid it if we are to reach the Client's visual and technical specifications. Say the page is 1000 lines of code, and our content only starts at line 450 onwards, will that have an impact from a Google crawlability, hence affect our SEO making it harder to rank? Thoughts? Moving a website from one domain to another
Hi Guys, I figured I'd investigate this fully before potentially ruining a client's traffic. The rundown:Two websites; one is an ecommerce store and the other is just a brochure website which has references to the ecommerce store. The ecommerce store is hosted on a server we control whereas the brochure one isn't, the URL for the brochure store is nice and simple which is the reason for the switch, as the ecommerce URL is very long and hard to remember. Now from an SEO point of view will it be a case of 301 redirecting every URL from the old domain name to the new one one or is there an easier option? Any tips or links to more information would be much appreciated. Thanks, Dan
