Pad Submission Software
-
Has anyone got any knowlege about software that I can use to submit PAD files?
Would also love to hear about any techniques, for instance I imagine that the PAD detail should not be changed from one submission to the next, any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Justin

I'm seeing what rand says to be true in other areas like blogs and articles. Sorry I don't have a specific answer for you.

HI Rand,
Thanks for answering.
I think that I will hit the top sites with manual submission and see how I go.
My assumtion was that the PAD file should stay the same, so automation was acceptable, not sure if this is actually true or not. Would you advise varying the PAD file between submissions (I would always vary submission text and anchor links when submitting to directories)?

This is a lousty excuse for an answer, but since I've never actively done PAD submission stuff, it's the best I've got right now.
Check out the thread at http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/14020-best-pad-submission-software.html - the commenters there tend to like Promosoft (http://www.develab.net/) and Padbot (http://padbot.org/). I have to admit, automated submission of this type always makes me nervous, and my understanding is that a lot of the higher quality and more editorially discerning open source hosting sites don't take auto-submissions (ironically, these are likely the best places to get listed and earn a link).

Results After a Disavow File Submission
Hi, I have a client who had a range of spammy links going to their website. The links were from exact match anchor text, from duplicate content and poor quality, irrelevant domains. They also had built a number of sites and linked to my client's site from each of the footers. All the domains they owned have been redirected to the site we're working on. We also disavowed all the spammy links going to the site. This was over a month ago and rankings haven't changed and in fact, have gone down slightly. Is there any other course of action anybody could suggest or should i wait longer in the hope the disavow is still yet to be accounted for? Any help I'd really, really appreciate! Thanks

Best Software To Alert On Incoming Links?
Hi Guys, I've got most of the software I need for general link analysis, Moz/Majestic etc. But what I am lacking is software that would give me an update when one of my websites receives an incoming link? That is if there is such software available. All suggestions and help appreciated. Sam

Creating Local Listings for Small Business Clients - Verifying if phone call is only verification option? Are directory submission services worth it?
I'm relatively new to local SEO --- I do a lot of local websites for small businesses (restaurants, bars, hotels, attorneys, dentists) in my area and thought it would make sense to include basic local SEO work with my websites. I have a couple of questions about adding my client's businesses to local business directories... I've started by adding each business to Google, Bing, and Yahoo business listings. I verified these listings with the postcard option which my clients then email to me. I've started adding them to additional directories but have found that many local directories require a phone call to the business to verify it (no other options). How do most SEO companies handle this? Do I ask them to forward their phone to mine for a night? Does it make sense to do local directory submission by hand? I created a spreadsheet for each company and keep track of each directory I submit to (the directory name, verification status, and username & password). I looked at services like Yext but doubt they are as thorough as doing it by hand? Any other advice on local business directory submission would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

How important are directory submissions to my off-page SEO?
Hi Guys, One area of my link building that I carry out is looking for online directories and social bookmarking websites to submit my website to. I do this in order to gain some backlinks to my website. What I want to know is are they really worth my time, and if so, which types would you say are the most important? I have obviously been through many directory lists, both on SEOmoz and on other websites, and also performed various searches to find relevant directories to my website. I just feel that posting up a link that lies deep in a directory online that, more often than not, have very low PA and lots of outbound links will offer very little in terms of SEO. If anything, this could really bring down the quality of my links and be detrimental to my website, right? This is a subject that I have been thinking about for a while and especially with the recent algorithm update from Google and the attack on many web directories that are, lets say, 'not playing by the rules', I'm worried that this will have a negative impact for my website. Let me know your thoughts guys and if you have any tips on how to get higher quality links from these kind of submission then I'm all ears! Matt.

Article Submission Best Practices
We are starting an article submission project for our company and had a very basic question. Will submitting the same article to different sites create any potential issues? If the article gets published on various sites, will this be considered duplicate content?
