H1 tags the same on all pages - problem?

I generally use wordpress as a CMS and have the H1 tag coded in the header.php include file. This results as it being the same in all page - I normally do something like
Keyword - Company name
and set the company logo as the background and move the text off screen using text indent (CSS).
Is having the same
on every page a bad thing?
I might be tricky to change so their all unique.

Yes that sounds better to me. What do you use for the co logo - a tag with a bg image or just a straight image?

It's definitely worth it! Try changing it to surround page/post title, and keeping it as name/logo only on the homepage.

I would stop using the
tag for the header / compagny logo. This is definitely not the title of your page. Just use an tag with a proper alt attribute for your header logo.
You'll then be able to have one unique
tag on each of your page, where you'll be able to enter the real title of your page.

I would use a div, thats what they are for, a H1 tells the SE what the page is about, and i would not move anything of screen, SE's see that as spaming
I only just re-read and see you are using wordpress, i know little about word press, i can only answer to how i do things.
I would use a strait image, so you can use the alt tag for SEO

True, I've also tried to be as semantic as possible with my code which is why I've used it as a background of a H1 (Your logo being the first heading).
What do you guys use to display your logo - background of another tag or as a pure image?

Perhaps I'm over complecating it - how would you code the logo of each page? Background for a H tag, straight image or as a background for some other tag?

what about title? that certainly should not be the same.
I can not see whythis would be so tricky are these pages static or dynamic? how many? -
Why not just have logo as logo with ALT on it and H1 where it should be - right above the content area?

Multiple H1 tags on Squarespace blog page?
Hi All, I use Squarespace and while running my site (https://www.growmassagebusiness.com) through programs am seeing that my blog posts are being seen as one page with multiple H1 tags. I read through the SS help desk and found back in 2015 someone wrote that it's not a bit deal b/c of HTML5 and that the search engines will read each blog post as a sub-page. I'm not so sure about that and wondering what the experts think? If that is screwy then I'm considering possibly making each blog post it's own page rather than using their blog posting format.

Is it better to have an hreflang go to the home page in a different language if there's no corresponding page
If I have some pages in English, but not in Spanish on my website: Should my hreflang go to the home page on the Spanish site? Or should I not have an "es-MX" hreflang for that page? Ideally I would have all the pages translated, but this has not all been done yet.

Form Only Pages Considered No Content/Duplicate Pages
We have a lot of WordPress sites with pages that contain only a form. The header, sidebar and footer content is the same as what's one other pages throughout the site. Each form page has a unique page title, meta description, form title and questions but the form title, description and questions add up to probably less than 100 words. Are these form pages negatively affecting the rankings of our landing pages or being viewed as duplicate or no content pages?

Your thoughts on page navigation
Hi again SEOmoz community. What are your thoughts on mainpage navigation. How it should be handled? Scenario 1. - links to the main sections with a mouse rollover feature where it shows subsections of the main sections Scenario 2. - links to the main sections, but the subsections are hidden and only visible on the click Scenario 3. links to the main sections and subsections allways visible I would like to hear you oppinions on this. What did you find as the best featrue, or did you try to find someting new entirely. What do you think would be the best scenario SEO wise and in the light of keeping links on page in decent numbers 🙂 Imo, Scenario 2 is the option to go with. Tnx in advance for all your replys. How to add canonical tag
Hi, I read through many of the forum questions dealing with the overly dynamic URLS and I think I understand. Please let me know if I know what I am talking about: If SEO moz is saying I have 20 pages (mostly search and home/index pages) with overly dynamic urls, I would go to the that particular page and add the following code between the head tag: This code would cause Google to go to this page instead of the following duplicate index pages: 1. http://www.about-sports-collectibles.com/index.php?pcsid=0a83aa7119cf3d80a1d018634ec4ec94&p 2. http://www.about-sports-collectibles.com/index.php?pcsid=18b220fc62628b013a51c6f26209df50&p There are a total of about 8 of these index pages. The problem is that I can't figure out where I would access each of these duplicate pages to add the canonical tag. There is only one home page with coding. As far as the search pages are concerned, I would not want Google to follow those pages would I? If that is the case, what would be the best code to add between the tags? Page title
So if we have a main category page on our site (mines an ecommerce site), do we go for more than that main keyword phrase for that category of products, or is it better to just keep it by itself, and not utilize the 65-70 characters available?
