Blogs with different focuses
-
Suppose I got a blog about cooking and another about computers.
What's the best architecture for SEO ?
OR
?
-
The general advice is for we to be as much specific as possible. So won't it be confusing a blog about cooking and computer mixed ?
-
Ok but I fear that I might lose some focus for the subdomain.
I mean the kw density you know what I mean ?

Same subcategory in different main categories
Hi all, A fairly common problem in webshops is having the same subcategory in multiple main categories. Let's take the following example: example.com/legal/economic-law/company-law example.com/tax/companies/company-law I came across this interesting article on this topic: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/community/q/e-commerce-site-one-product-multiple-categories-best-practice Although I understand that the answer on the above question is the most thorough method, I don't see a problem with just using canonicals either. On the webshop we are restructuring, there are only a few of these subcategories that return in multiple main categories, so generating a path via user activity and storing it in a cookie doens't seem really necessary to me. Is it ok to just use canonicals or can this cause issues? Thanks.

What Are Internal Linking Best Practices For Blogs?
We have a blog for our e-commerce site. We are posting about 4-5 blog posts a month, most of them 1500+ words. Within the content, we have around 10-20 links pointing out to other blog posts or products/categories on our site. Except for the products/categories, the links use non-optimized generic anchor text (i.e guide, sizing tips, planning resource). Are there any issues or problems as far as SEO with this practice? Thank You

Mobile website on a different URL address?
My client has an old eCommerce website that is ranking high in Google. The website is not responsive for mobile devices. The client wants to create a responsive design mobile version of the website and put it on a different URL address. There would be a link on the current page pointing to the external mobile website. Is this approach ok or not? The reason why the client does not want to change the design of the current website is because he does not have the budget to do so and there are a lot of pages that would need to be moved to the new design. Any advice would be appreciated.

Using both dofollow & nofollow links within the same blog site (but different post).
Hi all, I have been actively pursuing bloggers for my site in order to build page rank. My website sells women undergarments that are more on the exotic end. I noticed a large amount of prospective bloggers demand product samples. As already confirm, bloggers that are given "free" samples should use a rel=no follow attribute in their links. Unfortunately this does not build my page rank or transfer links juice. My question is this: is it advisable for them to also blog additional posts and include dofollow links? The idea is for the blogger to use a nofollow when posting about the sample and a regular link for a secondary post at a later time. What are you thoughts concerning this matter?

Are there different tactics to optimize for Bing vs. Google?
We are ranking very well in Google SERPS, but lackluster for the most part in Bing SERPS. i haven't seen anything that clearly lays out how to optimize for Bing, but my concern is that if we make changes to opt for Bing that we might lose Google ranking. Any insight as to what we might do?
