Do links in Paper.li twitter round-ups help my SEO?
-
My twitter feed is picked up in the daily roundups like Paper.li. Do these links count towards my SEO effort or are they just empty. Clearly they spread my content so that great, just wondered if the links pass juice to the site.
-
Very interesting. Looks like they should pass some link juice then. Thanks for the information.
-
I don't know about all that...
A quick site: search turned up this Game of Thrones paper.li which is indexed by Google. The links look pretty good to me on the text-only version of their cached page.
-
Thanks for the quick answer. On twitter someone suggested that the pages are built client side with JS and search engines never see the links. Does this stack up?
-
The links are not nofollowed, so one could reason that there is some link juice being paseed. How much link juice? Hard question to answer. Paper.li is pretty much just a really polished content scraper, so I can't imagine these links would be super valuable in Google's eyes, but they definitely won't hurt you.

Should my images on Pinterest point to the affiliate links or back to my site?
I have a affiliate site that involves handmade boots (i.e. cowboy boots, hinking boots, etc...). I currently put pics of them on my sites with a affiliate link. After I do this, I use the Pinterest browser button in chrome and add them to my Pinterest account. It adds these images to my Pinterest account with the affiliate link. Should I be doing this or should I be adding them to my Pinterest with links to my website?

Pinterest Link Value
Hello, First of all I know that all the links which come from Pinterest are no follow. However about 4 years ago we made a campaign to pinterest for one of the websites we are managing. Although the thing was going well we had to stop it for various reasons. Right now, 4 years later, this thing has grown big without any move for us! All these years our pins, which were great in many aspects, were continuously reppined. This has lead to the point where the Google Search Console is reporting that about 500.000 links are linking to our website from Pinterest. We know how this has helped us or not concerning the actual refferring traffic from Pinterest but our main question, and this where we want the Moz's community help, is how is this helping from a SEO aspect. Thank you!

With the caveat of they didnt manually search for people in the city of York. Could it be twitter advertising as explained here:

What's the value of Twitter and Pinterest links?
Just wondering should part of my regular activities include sharing certain URL's to these social networks? Presumably it requires constantly mentioning random pages as part of an ongoing nature... Any pointers? thanks

Youtube and SEO
Hello, For a game site I would like to use Youtube for SEO purposes. And I need a little advice on this. How would you use these video's without spamming? There are a lot of tactics to use Youtube. Create channel and put your desired url in the profile (link back to your site), Put your desired url in in the description of the video (link back to your site), Put the created youtube video also on your own site to drive traffic to youtube, and back. And get views. Put a created channel on your own site to drive traffic to youtube, and back. And get views. Other tactics I don't know.... Can someone advice me what tactics I can use without spamming, I'm afraid that if I use combinations of the above mentioned tactics I get an unnatural linkprofile.... Thank you in advance. Regards, Thomas

Anyone do SEO for facebook business pages? I'm having trouble with timeline layout.
I am working on my facebook business page and am frustrated with the new "timeline" facebook layout which really does not make sense as a business page. I have not found a way to change it to a traditional layout and have read some posts that said facebook does not allow you to go back from timeline. Does anyone have a good layout suggestions for a facebook business page with SEO in mind? Thanks.

For example, my twitter handle is @rosstav and the URL in my bio is rosstavendale(dot)com. I want a tool that searches bios for a list of URLs and returns the twitter handle. I tried Followerwonk but no joy. Any thoughts?
