I'd also suggest reading the Beginner's Guide to SEO, written by SEOmoz. This will give you a good background on SEO so that you can implement it on your site, and understand how to implement it for your customers as well.

I swear that URL wasn't there when I answered! Maybe I missed it....

Since your site is in Drupal you are lucky, someone already created a checklist specifically for drupal SEO:
http://drupal.org/project/seotools
Install that module and its dependencies, then work down the task list.
EDIT: Oops, meant to include this link: http://drupal.org/project/seo_checklist

This is the last thing you probably want to hear, but here goes: IT DEPENDS!
It depends on how your site is architected.
It depends on what kind of SEO has already been done.
It depends on what the competitive landscape in your niche looks like.
It depends on what your business goals are.
And on and on.
I would recommend you telling us your site's URL and then asking for some advice. There are a lot of really good SEO's on here who will be able to provide you with volumes of actionable SEO intelligence if you post your site URL to this question.

Has the relevancy of SEOmoz tools disappeared?
I have A rankings for my on-site grades for my most important keywords. I have no Critical issues and no Warnings with my Crawl Diagnostics. Most of the Competiive Link analysis data shows my site beating out the competition. If all this is accurate, how can my SERPs continue to decrease and lesser pages with terrible optimization and backlinking be ranking higher? I even have a facebook page beating me in the results. If there is nothing left for me to address using SEOmoz, and I keep getting worse & results, doesn't it mean that the SEOmoz tools are not relevant to producing actual results? Or, am I missing something?

Nuts and Bolts Ecommerce SEO approach
Hi there, I have an ecommerce store that is just starting to rank for some good, competitive keywords. So I want to step on the gas a bit and get to the top of the search engines. What I've been doing: 1. Article marketing;
Moz Pro | | alex1030
2. Link wheels;
3. Giveaway promotions;
4. Buying expensive links from the main directories (yahoo, botw, business.com, etc) At this point, I'd like to bring in and train an SEO to do all of the above and more. Is there an eCommerce SEO 101-401 training module on this site? Or even better, is anyone willing to share a mindmap with the steps broken down? Thanks! Jon0 -
Why are we not ranking? We have done all we can think of. Can you help?
We have an old domain that we have had for years now. And recently. December, we completely redesigned the site, I mean a complete overhaul, design, architecture, asp to php for example. Resubmitted to google via webmaster with a new site map etc. Our website for reference is www.completeoffice.co.uk. We are trying to rank in UK google, www.google.co.uk, for the term office refurbishment kent (we are on page 2) and office refurbishment (we are on page 17). This is confusing me, because thats 7 pages lower than we were originally, before the site design, its better seo wise, duplicate content is none, title tage meta tags all correct, domain authority has doubled from 12 to 24 in a few months all in an effort to rank better. our homepage and office refurb pages both got an A on the on page SEOmoz tool test. So we dont understand why we are not ranking highly. It seems sites, much uglier and less seo friendly than our with same or lower domain authority are ranking at least 10 pages higher than us. Why is this? Can anyone help or give us a few suggestions. All help greatly appreciated. SEOmozzers.

How do you use SEOmoz
I'm a newbie here. I've got a week left on my free trail. I really like SEOmoz, I might even love it a bit. 🙂 I'm trying to justify the cost. I usually don't spend money on my Internet Marketing. I've done it through finally buying some tools to help me get there. Massive change in the last year. I'm a long ways from getting rich YET though. 🙂 I've gone from $30 a month to $1000 a month in a year. So I think I'm on my way now. I'm trying to figure out why I should continue my subscription and actually start paying for it. If I were a developer I can certainly see why but the cost would so go way up. 🙂 I'm in the lowest level package with only five websites. I have 10 I'm working on. I know that's probably five to many at one time. I'm having a little trouble justifying the cost at this time. At my income level $100 a month is significant. I can see the value of seeing where my competition has backlinks. Sometimes my competition is Cnet. haha Well, I can beat them on a specific page at times. Hmm, can I search the URL list for links? Perhaps i can if I export it. That didn't occur to me. Now that could be of use if I can find my keywords. If their link is on Amazon though, I'm going to have trouble getting a link there. 🙂 Maybe I should work on less competitive links but I made good money last month with one page that was beating them. WAS beating them. How do you use SEOmoz? How do you justify the cost, that is offset the expense. If its not making me money i don't see the value. I can get a lot of this information for free but it sure is easier to get it here. Which saves me time. And the other tool i use isn't that good and not always reliable and slow. I've got a week left on my free trail. I had decided to let it go but now I'm reconsidering. $100 is a lot for me and I need to spend more on SEO outsourcing. I wonder if I wouldn't be better off dropping it for a while and then coming back. This certainly isn't mean to be a critical post at all. I'm looking for reasons to stay and make better use of it. Thanks for the thoughts, Rusty

Can you set-up a manual SEOmoz crawl?
I received a crawl report yesterday, made some site changes, and would like to see if those changes were done correctly. Rather than wait a week for my automatic crawl to be generated, is there anyway to initiate a manual crawl on a single subdomain as a PRO member? As a PRO member, you can schedule crawls for 2 subdomains every 24 hours, and you'll get up to 3,000 pages crawled per subdomain. When we've finished crawling, your reports will be sent to your PRO email address, which is currently From here... http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/crawl-test

If not, are there any other SEOMOZ Tools that will do this? Thanks.
